The property is located at a very secluded area overlooking the giant Kilimanjaro. In fact there was unobstructed view of the mountain from the tent itself. The staff are very helpful and nice. The tent has all necessary ammenities like hot water, decent toilets, comfortable beds, mosquito nets, drinking water, wardrobe etc. The staff also arranged warm drinking water in requests.
We spent good time there.
The tent was a small in size for 4 adults. It might be more suitable for 2 adults and 2 kids. There was hardly space for opening suitcases etc. Food prices were high compared to quality and diversity.

The location was close to the park but not in the park as the pin suggested.
First, the pin for the location is not where the lodge is. I tried to contact them for direction, but they were unresponsive! The contact number on booking.com does not even go through WhatsApp. They don't even have a Kenyan number to call! I ended up being helped by KWS to find the location! The owner is too special even to respond to messages on booking.com.
The two double beds were advertised, only one was a double bed, the other was very tiny! Moreover, the nets didn't fit the beds well, mosquitos were flowing in, and we were their delicious meal for the two nights!
On meals, their restaurant is very basic. They could not offer packed breakfast for one to carry for early safari like the way other lodges do! In fact, they say they can't offer food before 6 am, i waited till 6:30 am and got nothing. Furthermore, they promised a water dispenser bottle for two nights, which never appeared. Online, the facility has been advertised with air-condition and heating. This is a hoax! Don't oversell what you don't offer!
The worst experience came when it started raining. Our tent was leaking in, and we had to stay in the same tent with water and mosquitos as they could offer no alternative! I had to be rained on with my wife and two little kids, and all I got was a sorry with no action. I can ignore all the other things, but that was the worst nightmare, totally unprofessional, and zero rating for hospitality infact unfit for public health.
The place has potential, but the management of this location needs to be more serous if they want to be competitive in the Kenyan market infact what I missed were just basics that even a village lodge can offer in Kenya. This was a total reap off!

The location
Our Tent was very old :
- séparation Doors not closing
- frequent
electricity shortage
- zero thermal insulation
Very little storage for gears

We had our own transport. There is a bar with beer and wine and some spirits. Three meals a day can be provided including packed lunch for the National Park. Food is basic but well prepared.
The solar power and hot water systems had some issues but I think they fixed it now. We always had power and water anyway.

Awesome place for recharging. My children loved it.

Staff was very welcoming and helpful. The place is as described. The food was also very good. There are few tents at the camp, though we felt safe the whole time. Beautiful views over the Kilimanjaro.
Since the place seems to be solar powered we would have welcomed some information on when to know to charge our electronic devices.

We stayed with four people in the lioness tent. There's a thin wall to separate the beds so you have a bit of privacy. The view of Kilimandscharo on the terrace was just great and unique! the camp is really close to eremito gate and they organized a good guide for us. The staff was really nice, especially leah! There is also a little pool and a fireplace which we enjoyed after dinner.
The camp could use some more areas with large sun umbrellas or awnings because it gets very hot during the day. You can buy meals and drinks in the Restaurant, but theres no market closeby. So we were glad that we bought some snacks and water for the trip to amboseli before. No complaints, just to give an impression. All in all we had a great stay and hope to come back one day!

The people at the camp are very nice and welcoming. The tents are incredible, and it's very close to the entrance. I would recommend!

Great independent rooms with a great view on Kili.
Some parts of the camp are still being build, it’s going to be great when it’s done !

We stayed in the camp on our last night in Kenya and we were pleasantly surprised made us wish we could’ve stayed a few more nights!
Before our arrival, Maggie (from Amanya Camp) has consistently updated me via Booking.com and whatsapp to ensure our smooth arrival. They are so organised, we are very impressed! 10/10 for Maggie!
We were given the Elephant Tent which offered a nice panoramic view facing Kilimanjaro. 5-star level experience in terms of the view. It has glass doors and from outside offered this magical reflection of the surroundings.
Amenities-wise, as mentioned it is a small and rather new camp so it comes with some minor compromises. It only has 5 tents for now (loved it, made us feel like VIPs), some areas are still under construction, some minor power disruptions during the day (not a major issue if you have a power bank). They use solar power btw. Food and beverage options are a little limited but we’ve had decent meals overall. No complaints.
The real highlight though is the hot water. Yes hot water is a lifesaver as it can get really cold at night, made night showers manageable. They also have electric kettle for tea/coffee. Bed is comfortable. There is cabinet for storage. A TV unit. Extra coffee tables and chairs. Bathroom has 2 sinks, stand-in shower and a toilet. There is also a bathtub outside the tent (interesting!)
There is cozy bonfire at night and Maasai dance for entertainment.
Shoutout to all staff members who made sure we were having a good time.
We are so happy with our stay in Little Amanya Camp. It’s a literally hidden gem! We are so glad we found it and experienced it ourselves. We recommend it to everyone who’s staying in Amboseli, 100% worth booking. Asante Sana!

Breakfast and Dinner was absolutely fine. Staff are friendly. They are very responsive. They have arranged Safari Game drive with very affordable price. The drive was excellent which was the best part of our trip. There was warm welcome all the time.
Accessibility was bit complicated. We were given the pin location for the property. But we were misguided by the google map route. It would be better if the good provide a simple map guide from the main road to the property.
