I loved how close it was to the beach.
The room just stayed in smelled like mildew the entire time, and when we looked, we noticed the inside of the sofa had mildew on it. We wiped it down as best as we could with our Lysol wipes, and we advised the front desk that it smelled like mildew. But whatever, if we smelled it I’m sure they smell it as well. Also the shower still had hair in it. And something bit us up like crazy. I know there are all kinds of bugs, so we didn’t think much of it. But the amount of bites we received, only at night, is unsettling.

Nice property and friendly staff. The beach located on the property was amazing: clean and beautiful blue water. Check-in and check-out was nice. Plenty of bars and never had to wait long for a drink. The Jerk Hut on the property was really good for an all-inclusive.
I was not a fan of the food options that came with the all inclusive. We didn’t get a chance to eat at one of the restaurants that requires reservations but the buffet and room service were lackluster. My party and I loaded up on the Jerk Hut when it was open during the day because we didn’t enjoy the food elsewhere.

The cleanliness, location, staff, literally EVERYTHING about the property were EXCELLENT!!
There was nothing, not to like!

Beach, view from room, friendly staff, all inclusive,
No elevators to room and on 3rd floor (not a deal breaker for me)

The staff and the location was great. Rooms were clean and they were comfortable. Like the amenities of the resort. Check in and check out what's very easy.
They do not have an ATM on the resort premises I thought that was kind of weird. They will switch out your money to Jamaican denomination for you at the front desk though. They don't carry a large selection of authentic Jamaican food.

The proximity to and cleanliness of the beach. Approachable friendly staff.
We had an item stolen from our room.
It was promoted as adult only and wasn’t.
The television broke multiple times.
The app didn’t work so we had to approach the desk 3 seperate times to try to resolve and ensure we got dinner reservations meaning we had to change plans to stay on site during shift changes.
The food was poor in two of the restaurants we dined in.
There was no bottled water available one day.
There was no medication on site for a tummy bug or any additional accomodations.
Others we knew also got a tummy bug while there so it may have been the food or water.
Our coffee machine didn’t work.
The bingo entertainment didn’t work and entertainment was average.
The white party was cancelled despite the weather not being too bad and the replacement effort was disappointing.
We were not advised we could use the other RIU and there is no shuttle to and from.
The only 24 hour bar was more like a cafe.
The on site shop was way overpriced as were laundry services.
The lounges often had bird faeces on them.
There is limited water sports equipment and despite being told it’s on a first serve basis we were slipped twice and had to return three times just to get a paddle board.
Our bed sheets were stained.
The stopper in the sink didn’t work.
We requested a late check out which couldn’t be granted and were messaged on the app we already advised wasn’t working to say availability changed but it was too late.
We were told we could still use facilities and were then approached and questioned twice by security making us feel pretty uncomfortable.
All in all pretty disappointing and wouldn’t recommend it return unless some effort through reimbursement or discount was made to us.

La playa y su ubicación
Nadie hablaba español a pesar de ser un hotel riu; las entretenciones están pensadas únicamente para gente de USA, no para el resto del mundo

We were a group of 13 adults and 15 children.
When I made the reservation with Booking, it was not possible to register 15 children. The maximun accepted is 10 children.
So I went ahead with the reservation and picked 7 rooms for 2 adults and 2 children each: total of 28 people.
And I payed the rate for 28 people.
Booking ignored the 28 people I payed for, and registered just 13 adults and 10 children.
When I arrived to the hotel, they did not rcognized that I had payed for 28 people, and charged again the 5 children.
So I had to pay again $ 1672.
The main problem is that there is no way to contact Booking and ask for help.
I am a Genius 3 and I felt not helped by Booking.

The breakfast buffet was top tier and the location was right on the best part of the beach. Just amazing!
Check in was a long process, this resort had no ATM machines on site (had to travel to outside locations or banks), and no courtesy shuttle to/ from the airport.

Food buffet was good. Entertainment was nice. Staff were nice,
Pool closed early at 6pm. We had to use towel cards to make towel exchanges. Didn’t like how everything shuts off if u open the balcony door. No inflatables provided.

Check in was fast and easy. I used my prepaid Visa card and it went through without issues. Have cash $250-$500 depending on your length of stay as they prefer usd for tips. Most bartenders will remember you by name or face after meeting you. Everyone is extremely nice.

It was what I expected. Real nice
Nightly entertainment.
I think you can step it up to the next level.
It can be more professional
Music that the guests would know and understand and want to hear.
In the main dining room the staff need to keep their private conversations to a minimum. Sometimes it can get loud.
