It was a lovely grand house. Entry and parking were very smooth. Large room was nice.
Bathroom needed a bit of attention. Tiny bath and plastic shower cubicle 🙃 sink in the bedroom 🤨. Not what I expected plus it was described as a deluxe king suite so I expected our own living room which wasn’t the case. Still haven’t had a reply regarding this!!!

So comfy and safe feeling.
It was all great with the exception- and my mistake- I thought GB t it was a bed and breakfast- no breakfast- also a little confusing about the room- I arrived very late and did not catch in the text message that the the rooms were named and that was my room - sat on a sofa for a bit trying to figure out which room was mine- I was just probably tired.

This is such a charming old property that has clearly been lovingly and carefully redesigned into a hotel. I loved the four-poster bed, antique furniture and plush rug in my room. Good shower too. I dealt with Pam during my stay (by text and phone), and she was extremely welcoming and professional. This is where I’ll stay whenever I come back to Columbia.
Hard to fault it, though a fuller breakfast option would nudge it up to a 10/10 for me.

I loved the home as a whole. I came to move my daughter into USC. It was so charming and comfy, I wanted to come back for another stay during parents weekend however, the cost then was far more expensive than I can afford as a single mother.
Parking was difficult in the back of the house

Location, cleanliness, furnishings, very nice property.
1. Thought the shower was inconveniently small.
2. We came home from dinner at 9p and there were dirty dishes, glasses and silverware stacked up on the food table in the dining room. We had to leave early at 6a the next morning, but all that dirty stuff was still sitting there. Along with the three or four muffins from the night before. Just thought that could have been a little better and not a great look.

Wonderful location and a very cute and unique building. If you like history and vintage home. Such location is hard to find and the host Pam was very friendly and helpful for everything the minute we check in and answer all the questions we had. She made you feel like her home and you are the family came over visit. The room is very spacious and clean. The bed was comfortable. Highly recommend if you are in the area visit.
Sink is outside of the bathroom

Location was great and the house was very clean. Tea/coffee was nice.
Costco muffins, hard boiled eggs, and cookies were not what would would expect from a place like this. the shower stall was a smaller, I had more space in my RV. There were no places to put toiletries or clothes in the bathroom. there was only 1 place to hang a towel and now signage there would be no room service to tidy up and provide fresh towels unless it was requested. So when we left everything on the bathroom floor and came back after a long day away, we were disappointed that the room wasn't freshened up.

Very nice inn located in what seems to be a historical trail. Well kept, and very clean. Pam provided easy check inn and out procedures and was available if you had any questions. we would definitely stay again.
it was difficult to find the back parking lot. Parking is available on the street but had signs stating two hour parking between 8 - 10 am.

Excellent hospitality, super clean and amazingly comfortable! We loved it and will definitely be our place in Cola to lodge when in town
Everything was great!

The breakfast was store muffin and bananas. Not a quiet location. Lots of traffic noise. Bed so high off the ground I struggled to get in the bed. Shower is super tiny. Average height/size person would struggle with it.

It is a beautiful house inside and out! Very well maintained, and each room has its own AC without the noise. I loved the two big windows and the door to the balcony. The TV never got used, but wifi did, lol. Perfect parking in back, no problems and the camera surviellance on it made me feel better. The location is great - a simple walk to the downtown activities. The location is also plagued by night time issues of a big city - this is not the property owner's fault, the house was here first! The police do their best and even had a car parked nearby thru the night due to the larger crowds of this weekend's football game. A regular weekend wouldn't have had these issues. There's plenty of items downstairs for refreshments. There were muffins, yogurt, and bananas on the breakfast bar. You help yourself whenever. (Maybe this doesn't make it a traditional bed & "breakfast"?) They did give vouchers for a Sunday brunch at a local venue that was amazing! Beautiful front porch and nice to relax on in the evening, watching the sun go down. Great location to go for a run either evening or morning, or even just a walk to view all the historic homes and buildings.
I never met any staff. I did communicate by phone and that was very quick and easy. Great customer service and short response times!
The tub was precariuosly sloped toward the drain. So much that it was like standing on a hill and without the handle, I would have slipped a couple times. There isn't an iron or a coffee/tea maker though, so perhaps update this site? I wouldn't want food/drink in the room anyway, but I really could have used the iron! No hairdryer either - I didn't need one, but I notice the site here lists it. I think that might be a Booking issue, not the Inn. Only a closet with a single wire rack for clothes. Perhaps a small drawer unit would be nice for small items like underwear, socks, etc. The balcony light didn't work, perhaps a blown out bulb? (Not a big deal, just wanted to let you know.) However, it was a bit over priced for just a room to sleep and no other services.

Great location, and beautiful building.
It would have been helpful to have some sort of desk in our room (Gervais) for using laptop. We used the large table in the common area, but would have more convenient in the room so we wouldn’t have to be dressed to be in public.

The home (the space) is far more grand than the pictures described. It was LOVELY!! It was clean and comfortable and quiet! I booked with Booking.com. Pam immediately responded. I mentioned "breakfast" which she was quick to clarify there wasn't breakfast included at the Inn and was so kind to say we didn't have to keep the reservation with my new understanding that there was no breakfast. We accepted her gracious response, and were happy to stay even without breakfast. I would highly recommend the rental of the entire home if a family or event were happening in Columbia!
Our bathroom had been completely updated. It was beautiful. The entire home looked in GREAT condition, but we could only guess, the beautiful upgraded room we were in may had been recently painted because there were no pictures on the wall. There was a gorgeous rug, but minimal furniture and decor. It didn't change our minds that this wasn't the perfect place to stay, it was just a surprise. We will want to stay at the 1425 Inn in the future.

It was super clean, adorable building, and amazing location. Within walking distance of so many great shops and restaurants. The porch area was really lovely. Pam was extremely nice and responsive via phone.
The infrequently seen staff on site were pretty uninspired about maintaining snacks and water in the common room area. These were extra necessary due to no fridges/alternatives in the rooms. Due to repairs being made, we had to do some room shuffling to a smaller room last minute.

The building was beautiful and we felt like we had the place to ourselves. Our room was very cozy and extremely clean.
No complaints.

Cute very elegant place. Very unique and it makes it stand out. Liked cookies and fruits that were available for the guests, as well as 24 hr tea and coffee. Highly recommend.

Location was great. Snacks were good. Entry to house and room were facilitated by coded locks. Everything was clean. Parking on street is free.
This was really not a bed and breakfast but rather a glorified Airbnb. There was NO one around when we arrived and we never saw a live human in the place. Somewhere in earlier reviews breakfast was mentioned and i thought i saw photos of people eating which made me think there was breakfast but those photos were from 2 years ago.there we're snacks but the type you would get in a nice airbnb The room was huge but bare as can be. It looked like maybe they had just finished painting (very clean)but maybe not? Again misrepresented in the photos. What furniture was there looked like it was sad. Tiny bath giant room but decor totally unfinished. Had to text proprietor with questions. Sorry but this establishment did not live up to my expectations.

Beautiful building & a nice large room. The lounge area was also lovely & relaxing. Good area, nice and central.
We never met the hosts was really more of a rental than a B&B/Inn. Due to travelling I only had limited access to emails & when we arrived there was no one there, we had to wait outside & try & contact someone, they had emailed to ask our eta but I hadn’t received it. This would’ve been fine but when making the booking this should be made known and wasn’t.
Maybe put some drawers in the room as there was very little space to put clothing.

Downtown location is perfect, yet very quiet. Very clean with comfortable beds. Coffee, water, snacks were available and we were offered a brunch at the Main Course which was fabulous! This is our second time staying here and both times we were very pleased.
