Wij komen heeeeel graag terug❤️

The property is in a really beautiful location. It’s in the middle of the valley with a stunning panorama. All is in berber style very clean. The breakfast is also good
I didn’t like very much the fact that we expected a restaurant while they ordered our food for dinner from outside and even if good it came almost cold. The staff is very kind but the barely speak English or French and during the night internet wasn’t working anymore and there was no one of the staff in the facility to ask for it. Co side ring that also the phone network is very poor there in case of emergency that could have been an issue

Quiet, clean, view and friendly staff
Not enough water pressure in the shower

The atmosphere is stunning and the decor beautiful! We had booked this Dar as part of our 10-year wedding anniversary “honeymoon”, and we carefully selected the place as well as the room based on the mountain view, the hilly landscape and its pretty interior. Once we got to stay in the room that we had booked, the place delivered what we expected (and the feel we had anticipated to get already upon our arrival). We had dinners and one lunch at the hotel, and it was all very tasty and good. That said, we definitely recommend travelers to take a walk downhills and eat by the river, which we did one day (lunch and dinner) and it was two of the best meals we had during our trip in Ourika. Comfortable beds, clean spaces and an overall great stay!
We did not get to stay in the room that we had booked for our first night (due to a double booking) and the management knew this and chose not to tell us until we arrived. We would rather have stayed an extra night in Marrakech than have the complete disappointment upon our arrival, had we been given the choice. We had pre-booked dinner our day of arrival and the staff had set a nice table with a gorgeous view for us, but when we came to sit down, another couple had taken the table and the staff had not informed them about our reservation, which made for yet a disappointing situation. Overall, a more service minded attitude would have made for a better experience (we are well-traveled and genius 3 on booking, so we a righteous hotel bookers/stayers). Good things to know is that Wi-Fi is wobbly in the room, and so is the warm water and the pressure in the shower.

Beautiful, comfirtable, tasty, interesting
Auxiliary services (taxi, tour guide) should be charged at market price or maybe with slight markup but not 70%+ markup.

This is a beautiful hotel in a somewhat touristy area. You feel secluded from all the busyness on the road and the views are beautiful. The staff is nice and accommodating and the food was good.
It was lovely, nothing bad. sometimes the staff would be gone right after dinner and it was impossible to get a tea. There was no dessert on the menu, not even a bowl of local fruit, which most Moroccans would have.

The entire compound is beautifully designed with places one could sit in privacy and others that were shared. The bedroom with its beautifully tiled en suite bathroom, sitting area and private terrace, overlooking the maroon hills and the Ourika river could not have been more comfortable. The decor, including an astonishing collection of artifacts, added to a feeling of understated opulence. And Danielle us a warm, knowledgeable and thoughtful person. Overall, a memorable stay for us! and perfect end to the 5 days we spent hiking in the Atlas!

The owners of this guesthouse were extremely helpful and responsive to any of my questions after booking and helped a great deal when I was not able to change the dates of my booking on booking.com (which really irritated me - no more booking.com booking like that). Very genuine owner (and animal lover, specially pussycats!) A very interesting building set into the hillside, very stylishly decorated with great views out from the top of the place across the valley. We especially loved the traditional Moroccan rugs and crafts which were displayed in that top room - really stylish. They went out of their way to make us feel very welcome. Bathroom products lovely, showers love
Dress up warm in JANUARY for the rooms. We were kindly given a radiator for our room and that helped warm it up after a while. My advice would just to ensure that in the colder month of January when the sun does not shine directly onto the property, you dress cosily. They do have heaters in the public areas too. If you have an elderly relative who has mobility issues, note that there are plenty of stairs down to the bed rooms. My 82 year old father in law was ok but had a bit of a struggle. There was not really somewhere viable to eat indoors close enough for my older father in law.

You can't go wrong with the views. This guesthouse is built into the mountain side. We loved every minute of our stay. The staff was accommodating and very gracious. One evening, my husband and I fell asleep and woke about 10am. He went to see if there was anything, bread or rolls that we could munch on as we were hungry. Next thing I know we had a full chicken tagine, bowl of delicious French fries and bread delivered. It was such a treat and we appreciated it. The tea is also delicious. First time I had mint tea with rosemary. I love it!
When we checked out, we were not 100% sure if booking.com had charged us or whether we should pay before we left. The staff was very accommodating and let us go without paying while they checked on it. This was not a problem. I confirmed that nothing had been deducted from our account and was told this happened to another guest. We would wait until the following two days. Within less than an hour of leaving we had received a call that a we needed to send the payment. Not a problem, but we were driving and did not have wifi. We were contacted several times through phone and email. Finally had to send a PayPal payment through a 3rd party source as they don't take Credit Cards. This would not have been an issue, other than we specifically advised we had no wifi AND that we were not headed home, but to the next leg of our vacation. We were responsive and just needed to get somewhere to get to Wifi. Felt they should have waited to contact us the next day/morning, rather than the multiple calls and email. It felt like we were mistrusted. I'd had preferred they taken the money and refunded it later. Just not a feel good feeling.
