The lodge is gorgeous and so peaceful! You can tell that the staff wants it to be a positive experience - the atmosphere is very warm, and the space is clean. We spent a few hours reading on the balcony/loft inside, and it was cozy and a wonderful way to wind down. The hosts are very kind and available as well!
The mattress we had was a bit too firm for our liking, so it was difficult to sleep. The people downstairs also didn't respect the quiet hours set, and so we could hear them talking throughout the night - turning on the bathroom fan helped this!

Excellent location, beautiful views. The room had a lovely Jacuzzi tub (we couldn't get the jets going, but it was still lovely to soak in while staring at the sky). Comfy clean carpeted floor we're a treat for the feet, and the bed was super comfy. Oh, and the lovely balcony to take in sunrise with morning coffee. Wonderful.
Walls are a little thin, so if you don't like a bit of noise, might not be the place for you.

The room was very clean, comfortable and very quiet. It was a relaxing stay! No TV in the room, but it didn’t matter. We enjoyed sitting on the patio. There is a common area with a full kitchen you can use to prepare your meals. Really beautiful place and super clean! Feels like home. On your drive up watch out for the deer.

The building has beautiful "bones," with great potential. The state park right across the road is gorgeous. The room was clean. the brief encounter with the one staff member we met we pleasant.
For the cost, a big disappointment. The bed was so uncomfortable. The sounds from the room above were amplified. There was hardly ever any staff around. With a king size bed, there is only one nightstand light. The lodge is in need of a facelift. It currently is decorated in a strange mix of southwestern adobe, buddhist yoga retreat, and Adirondack lodge (which is probably the look they should go for 100%, considering the location and architecture), all with a paint job and fixtures which seem to be out of the 80s. The gazebo, balcony, and windows are in need of some good cleaning. The gardens could be beautiful if they had been weeded, but are now overgrown. Though there is a kitchen and a dining room, breakfast is not available. It is quite a drive to get to the nearest eatery, so that's tough in the mornings.

Love the outdoor rustic look this place has. Makes you feel like your welcomed home. Also the game room was really nice to enjoy a movie on. Kool place.

As we arrived, there is this big beautiful property. We loved te game room with the big projector. Our suite was like a apartment within the lodge. Please of room & sleeping space.
There is really no complaint about this property.

They no longer have breakfast. This was a disappointment as that was one of the reasons we booked with the lodge.
Booking.com needs to update their information provided for Point Au Roche lodge. As afore mentioned, breakfast was not available. Also there are no televisions in the rooms. Booking.com said there were.

The place is beautiful, a log cabin lodge on a very nice piece of property. Trees, birds, lush green grass (we stayed during the first week of May). The room we had, quaintly called "the quilter", was very clean and very much like a medium sized master bedroom in someones nicely furnished home. We appreciated the window and large sliding glass doors that opened out onto the private deck overlooking the grounds. Really lovely. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom spotless with exceptional quality towels. Considering the room's name, we thought it interesting that there was no quilt anywhere in the room. It was very quiet and peaceful. All in all, a great place to stay for the night.
Oddly (at least to us) there was NO ONE there, not a single employee to greet, answer questions, assist with luggage, I mean literally we did not see one other person, neither staff nor guest. The room we stayed in had no TV or (as far as we could tell) internet. And there was no one there to ask about the wifi. Or if we needed an extra towel. Or if there was an ice machine. In all fairness, it could have been our oversight about the lack of a TV, internet or absentee staff and management. We did have a text from someone identifying himself as Yuri that included the codes for the front door and room so we could let ourselves in. We could have called or texted him but it was only for one night, and we didn't think of it at the time.

The towels were gorgeous and luxurious. The jacuzzi double tub was lovely and lots of hot weather. The room was large yet cozy. Comfortable bed. The scenery was gorgeous as out in the country. Close enough to Plattsburgh for meals and activities.
There was coffee and limited tea selection, but as early in the season, there were no meal options available, so we had to go out for all our meals. The property info should be updated seasonally. There was also no lakeside view, but there is a lookout and State park close to see Lake Champlain. It was hot at night.
