The facilities were excellent and the apartment fitting out to the highest standard possible. Everything had been though of and everything in place in this very cosy apartment.
Unfortunately, the sound proofing between our apartment and the adjoining Hay Loft, which ran over our place was insufficient in that we could hear every footfall from the occupants above and were not able to sleep until they slept.

A lovely bijou apartment which worked really well for the two of us and our puppy. Jules welcomed us and is a very friendly host. We were primarily staying in order to visit family just a few miles away so location was obviously perfect for us. But, we also visited both Loweswater and Ennerdale Water for dog walks and pub lunches, and the apartment is great for access to the western lakes.
The bed is very comfortable, but taller people may think it a bit short. It was just ok for me at six foot tall.

Very friendly and accommodating host, quality of overall facilities was good, bed super comfy. Surrounding area around the property was kept nicely. Very clean!
Sound from the occupier below (two story cottage split) travelled - could hear talking when the person wasn’t being overly loud, doors opening and closing etc. Needs some form of sound proofing as could see this causing problems if someone is noisy / snoorer etc. Living room space could be re arranged to allow for a more cosy seating area - TV was difficult to see from a distance.

Lovely surroundings, very comfortable accommodation with some nice welcoming touches, hosts very friendly and helpful. Also very dog friendly. Location ideal for walking with wooded trail close by and only 10 minute drive from Ennerdale Lake, to which i would recommend to visit.

Lovely and clean and great hosts in a wonderful location. Would recommend to anyone.
Being below another holiday rental the noise even from them walking around was loud woke us up a few times. Could hear him snoring not that that’s the owners but tells you how thin the ceiling was.

Amazing little house, very comfortable, friendly host and lots of little extras like biscuits and hot chocolate which were lovely to come home to after a day out walking! Already looking to return next year! Very quiet but close enough to local amenities, thoroughly recommend the local pub - The Hound, walking distance from the apartment and such friendly people.
Absolutely nothing!

Super-nice little house with all the amenities that make you feel at home. Gorgeous premise in the lovely surroundings of the Lake District. And above all very caring hosts. Could not be better!
Can't think of anything!

The owners went out of their way to ensure I could charge my electric car. Very handy for Ennerdale and St Bees head. A couple of decent pubs in Ennerdale Bridge for food.

The location was quiet, with lots of local walks nearby. It was beautifully kept and very well equipped, and exceptionally good value for money.
I could not fault the accomodation at all! It may be less attractive for those using public transport, but for car users it is great.

the property was incredibly clean and well presented. Our host went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and was very friendly and approachable. the facilities were excellent and the property included a full kitchen.
the only thing I can be critical of is the bathroom was a little on the small side.

Beautiful and lovely decorated apartment, very clean, fully equipped kitchen.
Ausra was super nice and we felt very welcome. The whole place is beautiful.

Ausra and Jules were amazing hosts who were happy to be contacted and to do anything to make our stay special; including providing towels and items for our dog without us even asking. The facilities were amazing; clean, well finished and included wonderful finishing touches to make it feel really special.
The location was incredible with access to one of the owners fields and walking distance to a beautiful dog walk and cycle path, and the local brewery. It was close to the coast as well as various prime locations in the N-W lake district.
Absolutely nothing I can critique.

I was met as I approached the property. The place was very well equipped and exceptionally clean.
When I checked out I got a text from the landlady as I had left some shoes! By the time I saw the text I was 100 miles away. The landlady posted them to me the next day and when I asked what I owed for postage, the answer was nothing!
Exceptional service

Ideal location , in a really small quiet town . It was right near where we wanted to explore , so ideal for a hike around Ennerdale which is beautiful.
Host really nice , friendly and helpful.
Its dog friendly.
Free Wi-Fi on site
Nice new en-suite
Nice little touches on the décor we stayed just before Christmas so little decorations around which were cute.
Left us milk in the fridge and nice selection of teas , coffee and toiletries which were really good
I think it has recently been taken over so there are some things to be improved on.
We could have done with instructions / welcome pack , we weren't sure on some of the kitchen items , eg oven , and coffee machine and password to WIFI .
Bed was tiny , not sure if it was a double or a small double. However the mattress was comfy and had an electric blanket which was really good but my husband is just shy of 6ft so the bed was not the comfiest for the 2 of us kept getting elbowed in the face during the night (maybe this was on purpose though!).
Noise from room above , we mentioned to the host on check out and think he is going to look into soundproofing as we were kept awake by the man above snoring like a dragon for hours during the night due to no insulation between apartments bedrooms.
Would have been better with a little more heat in the living area as this was quiet cold at night but we just got hot showers and put fluffy pjs and the dressing gowns they'd left for us on, I think again the host is looking at putting a log burner in here.
We would stay again if these minor things were improved , as the host was lovely and the area is great.
