A very cozy little cottage in the Hope valley. It has everything you need including a well equipped kitchen and access to a washer/dryer. We really enjoyed our stay!
There is a freight train line approximately 30 m from the house. The frequency of trains at night apparently depends on the workload in the nearby cement plant. If the trains continue throughout the night, sensitive persons will have problems falling asleep.

Nice little house with good facilities. Very convenient for walking, straight from the house onto the hills, and not many yards from an excellent pub (the Cheshire Cheese). Not far from the reservoirs either, if you are brave enough to get the car out. Contrary to some reports, the trains going between the quarry and the cement works are not very disturbing; they are not going at intercity speeds!
Parking is very tricky, even for something tiny like a Fiat 500 I suspect. My advice is to reverse into the lane from the road, and then reverse into the parking area. There is little space and a lot of stone wall to contend with. Took lots of shuffling with a smallish car to get in, not quite so much to get out. With a big vehicle I wouldn't even attempt it: just park on the road.

Great location. Cottage was well presented with good facilities. Would definitely stay again.
Those with long or wide cars (we have an estate) it's worth bearing in mind that the driveway is a bit tight.
TV is old and not smart which meant movie night was huddled around a tablet!

The cottage is super cosy, located is a quiet side street. It has everything once needs in and out. There are nearby shops, cafes, and pubs. It's also in vicinity of hiking tracks.
Poor communication from the letting agency. On day one we asked a question about recycling and organic waste and for 8 days noone replied. Also, to add an additional guest I had to log in on an external platform. I booked via Booking.com so I'd expect the communication to be kept on one platform. They should also cut on the number of email sent after booking is made as they're coming from both platforms and are duplicated unnecessarily.

A beautiful cottage in a great location for exploring the Peak District. We walked Mam Tor from the house and Kinder Scout walk from Edale was just a short drive away. Very comfortable cosy cottage within very short walking distance of a great pub.
Parking is a little tight to get in an out of. We had a Prius+ and just made it. A wider / longer car could be a challenge.

House was in a great position 100meters from a great pub good beer good food. The house had everything you need washer / Dryer cooking cutlery etc.
There was nothing I didn't really like its quite small but ample for 2 people out walking for most of the day. If there was any thing to mention it would be the bathroom shower it could do with a bit of TLC around the screen but not a problem

Property, Location
Parking space too small had to park on road. Also no hot water, and could not find details of who to contact. Managed to work it out on day 2.

Ideally place for a nice quiet break and access to lots of local walks. Everything we needed was available to use and the property was very cosy.

Quiet location
The parking was too tight for my car. The property is on a very narrow side lane and not signposted. Turning into and out of the parking spot was very difficult and in doing so after much manoeuvring I scraped the side of my car. After the first night I just had to park on the side of the main road.

Parking could have been easier as it was very tight

Characterful cottage, very well equipped and in a good location.
The second bed was rather small for an adult.

The location was fantastic, near enough to Castleton, to walk instead of driving.
Décor was lovely, it just felt like home and the beds comfy.
The heating could of been a degree lower
