Everything about Darna Surf House in Anza should be described as out of this world. This place, located in a small village, makes you feel the vibe of this local community and allows you to dive in its culture. We were enjoying the best surfing classes with Abdel and learning how to make tajin with Fatima. These two people are the soul of Darna and make this place so special. Totally recommended for everyone who seeks adventures and likes to stay busy during the day (and night). Noteworthy, we left films for the camera in Anza, and with help of our lovely friends, we manage to get them back in the next stop in our journey through Morocco.
There is nothing we didn't like.

Choukran ♥️🇲🇦
Seguro que volveré 😊

Friendly staff and guests all the time. Very helpful and nice. They took us on few hostel dinners as a nice meet up which was amazing from them and if there was a problem then they would solve it.
All was good

Very good location of the hostel, snack bar around the corner and the ocean and beach outside the window, the owner Yacob was at the hostel several times every day. Bastos a great guy always made breakfast on time and keeps the hostel perfectly clean. our expectations regarding the place and the quality of the service are positive, but when I read the opinions of people who expect five-star service at such a price in a hostel, they should think about why they came to the surfers' village, because that's what Anza is like. Great time and relaxation, the guests in the hostel are very nice people, we have dinner together and you can always count on help. Transfer from Agadir airport and back is not a problem, Yacob helps with everything.
What we didn't like was not dependent on the hostel, because barking stray dogs at night / not every night/ or sometimes a smelly gust of wind at night from the ocean - no one can influence such things, but the benefit for such inconvenience is, for example, finding dinosaur prints in the rocks overlooking the sea. from the ocean.
Or maybe that's what dinosaurs smelled like?

The location and the view from some dormitory beds are really good.
Firstly I don't understand how this hostel has a 9+ rating on booking.com. The wifi was really bad and sometimes didn't work completely. The kitchen has almost zero equipment. The floor get's cleaned everyday but the fridge looks disgusting and the mirrors as well. They only change the bed sheets in the dormitory ocasionally which I have only encountered in India so far. The young employees are really "business orientated". If you rent a surf board somewhere else (much cheaper) or do a trip on your own they talk it bad. It's called a surf house but when you bring sand in the house the manager will go crazy about it although there are ZERO doormats in this house and no water to clean your feet before entering. In the pictures you see a really nice rooftop terrace which doesn't exist. They have a rooftop but with zero seating options. The door to the dorm is so loud that you'll wake up multiple times during the night if someone goes in or out. The common area and the dormitory are only seperated by a wall of wood planks so you can listen to each word and smell each cigarette in the dorm. 90% of the time the shower was only cold. Washingmachine doesn't exist as well. Be carefull when you put alcohol in the fridge, it might disappear.

Very friendly atmosphere, every evening we have spent chatting with the owner and other travellers. Yakob, the owner was extremely helpful and he took us to and from Agadir many times, right when we needed it (of course for a charge). Breakfast was very simple but yum ,with very good tea. My partner had a group surf lesson, which was nice, but more expensive then we expected (€30) . Overall, I would definitely come back, because of Yakob and the friendly vibe.

Rodinný guesthouse, skvělé snídaně a nejúžasnější hostitelé.

Friendly staff. Location is a bit hard to find because there is no sign, but the staff come to pick you up if you phone them. Anza does have a bit of a fishy smell due to the factory close by.. the location is good if you wanna surf but not many nice restaurants close by. Chill vibe and nice staff
Location, fish smell, lack of restaurants..

Room was clean and house is close to the beach. Owners are very friendly. They arranged towels for us (not normally included). Good place to meet other travellers.
Anza is a very friendly town, up and coming for tourism.
A few things can be improved: there's no seats in the room or on the balcony and there was no hot water during our stay.
The place is a bit noisy because the room is between the stairs and the toilet/shower. Just fyi, there is no 'private beach' as the ad suggests, should probably remove that. Photos are not super accurate.

The hospitality from everyone (Ya’koob and his father and Abdulbasit) was simply unprecedented. I don’t think I’ve ever come across such attentiveness given to guests in all of the hostels I’ve stayed in throughout my travels globally. Initially, I arrived at another hostel by a similar name. Thankfully, they were nice enough to escort me to Ya’koob’s father’s place (which was close by) while I was waiting for his son to come pick me up and show me the hostel. During the few mins I was at his father’s house, I was shown incredible generosity. The man treated me like I was part of his family. Then Abdulbasit (another great man working at Ya’koob’s hostel) came, insisted on giving me a hand with my luggage which was manageable. I followed him and, we quickly arrived at the Ya’koob’s hostel. And there was Ya’koob and a friend of his, all exceedingly smiley, and were genuinely happy to see me and show me around and talk to me. Ya’koob then offered to drive me to some of the most Popular places in the city. So the next day, he took me to Agadir Medina, Souq Elhad, and Mohamed V Mosque, and we had lunch together. He never once asked or suggested that I should pay for his meal, or entry ticket to Agadir Medina, or for his car gas, or for the rides to all those locations and then back to the hostel ever. He and Abdulbasit were literally there for anything one could ask for or inquire about, and they would deliver it (within limits obviously). Had good conversations with them throughout my stay and ended up extending for 2 more days (wouldn’ve stayed more had I not had a flight already booked). Finally upon leaving I booked a ride to the airport using Indirve & had trouble explaining my precise location on the phone with my Indriver. Ya’koob helped me with that. They were just BRILLIANT! Nothing I say could fully capture my experience staying at this incredible place and its people.

Great place, cheap, clean and really close to the beach (you can see it from the window of the room). Jacob and his family are really welcoming people, they make you feel like at your home and are always available for any request. The terrace is wonderful, and you can also use the kitchen to prepare your own meals! Very recommended

The host was exceptionally nice and helpful and the location was perfect as surfer. Just check the wave from the window and walk down to the beach.
Occasionally we had some issues with the Wifi connectivity and speed.

Super clean, nice and cozy place. Yahya Jakub's dad is a wonderful and kind man who cares about every guest with great care, always kind and smiling makes you feel like among best friends. Very good breakfast every day with freshly squeezed juices. good location, beach nearby, bus stop nearby. restaurants, cafes, shops within walking distance. we will definitely come back here again.

Host was supernice and helpful, we had nice breakfast at the terrace. Room was okay, beach near the House is very nice.
Photos of the accomodation are better then reality. Biggest issue was the bathroom, it is supersmall and could be cleaner.

The host’s was great. It’s a family running the place and they are so sweet and helpful.

Super friendly and helpful owners, they always offered us food or booked a taxi for the early morning and were very welcoming.
There was no shower - just a pipe coming out of the wall. Right next to the toilet, so the whole (shared) bathroom was wet after a shower. It wasn’t very clean either, there was sand and hair inside the bathroom all the time.
The rooftop was kind of nice, but really dirty as well.
Our room was clean but disappointing, as it was dark and without windows. You could hear everything from the stairways/kitchen.

We were really amazed by the host, he really makes you feel welcome and helps with any request. It is really local experience. The breakfest was always fresh and delicious. Perfet location for surfing and best view from the terrace.
Not enough time spent there. We will truly miss the place.

Our night in Anza was just a vibe! Yakoub is so helpful and kind. Just a 1 minute walk to the beach and we could see the sea through our window. The room was clean and the breakfast had everything you need to start your day right. A little tip: Go to the little fish restaurant up the road and order a mixed platter. Just as fresh as it gets 👌10/10 stop on our trip up the coast of Morocco.

Amazing house to stay! The host is the kindest and helpful with everything! Even offers to take you to Agadir if needed so you don't overspend on taxis. You really feel as part of the family. There is even a washing machine available. This house is just next to one of the best surf spots around Agadir. You can see the ocean from the roof top so you can check the waves at any time. The most I loved the fact that I was able to hear the ocean from the room. There are also rental places near and good restaurants and bars.

Our stay at Darna House has been amazing. We felt like home and the host was very kind and helpful. The location was also nice as it is in front of the beach. And from the hostel they offered us very cool activities like surfing on the beach or sand surfing in the dunes. We can’t wait to come back!
