My family and I really liked this VRBO, top 3 reasons 1.Very clean, 2. Great communication leading up to our stay, 3. Perfect location for visiting Halfmoon Bay, Pacifica, and San Francisco. We will definitely book again.

The "beach" house was NOT where it was advertised! Even now the map shows it beach side of Highway 1 and it's 0.5 miles from the beach. And it did NOT have a BEACH VIEW, and there was NO garage parking, there was a ping pong table in the garage. Though the interior of the home is beautiful and enjoyable, the location required you RUN ACROSS A BUSY HIGHWAY to get to the beach. NOT COOL! Hot water was minimal in one upstairs bathroom, the shampoo/conditioner/body wash bottles were not secured in their holder and fell off frequently (could have injured a toe or food). Upon arrival and each evening animals knocked over the garbage can and food was all over the driveway. NONE of the windows had screens, that's a safety hazard. Kitchen was adequately stocked, and bathrooms had supplies and we appreciated the washer/dryer access. Several phone and written conversations with VRBO/VRBO supervisor/WAVE HOUSES management didn't address my location issue. i am sorely disappointed in VRBO for not defending me and allowing WAVE HOUSES to claim it's their "app" that causes that location issue and then said it's a security issue to not list the location more accurately. i feel deceived. and have lost faith in VRBO.

We enjoyed out little get away. Kitchen was stocked with spices, and playing ping pong was fun!

Very clean and quiet. Had a great time with the family.

Before you book know that the pin they drop for location makes it look like it’s in a neighborhood right near the water-false advertising bc it’s is on the east side of directly on highway 1 on the east side so you have to cross a very busy stretch cars go by 50mph +. You don’t know this until you book and the send you address and there’s no cancellation by the time I booked. Although there is a x-walk it is several blocks down the busy hwy, not safe for kids x-ing alone, mgmt said you couldn’t hear cars fr inside house -you absolutely can. It felt like staying at embassy suites on the hwy-kitchen stocked w basic essentials, but not one perk. Place was clean tho. I would stay somewhere else there are lots of great rentals in HMB.

We came out to hit big hills in San Francisco for DeAth Machines 1 year in business celebration, the commute to the city was amazing. The vacation stay was more of a home, with the most comfortable beds, game room with ping pong in the garage, and minutes from the beach!!!

All appliances were up to date. Rooms were clean. Teens enjoyed separate rooms. Beaches and shopping close by.

We really enjoyed our time here. The bedrooms were nice and spacious. Each with its own bathroom. The shared area was a bit small but worked for a group of 5. There was a game room area in the photos before we booked but we didn’t have access to this. That was a bit of a downfall. Otherwise, great spot for our trip to Half Moon Bay.

Modern home. Very well appointed and super clean. Kids absolutely loved the ping pong table in the garage and played quite a bit. Beds were comfortable and the house had lots of space to spread out and relax. Would return.

This property was just as advertised minus a few small items.
The grass was unmowed which was surprising and shaded first impressions but maybe is common to the area. The inside of the home was clean and had many additional perks like coffee, tea, laundry detergent, shampoos etc. Three full bathrooms and comfy beds made our stay very pleasant.
It was a convenient location to run up to San Francisco and Pacifica.
Highly recommend Montara State Park just up Highway 1.
Thanks again

The house is exactly as it is shown and described. We had absolutely no issues with ants, which was a relief. The downstairs bedroom was perfect for me and my husband and our bad knees. The upstairs rooms were perfect for the other three in our group. The property sits right along the highway, which we were aware of, but far enough back that there was no noticeable noise issues. I imagine the area is always pretty busy, so getting across the highway on foot was tricky, but doable. The Distillery, trails and beach are all within walking distance (over a mile, but doable). Checking in and checking out was super easy and big props for the ping pong table which got a lot of use during our stay. It was a great weekend and for as much as we got out and about, we also spent a good amount of time at home.

It was great, the only reason we gave location 4 stars is it was on the highway instead of in the residential area near the water. But despite being in a more suburban area it even had decent transit access. Also it needs coat hooks. But overall 5 stars!

We loved this home and it was perfect for me and my friends to relax at while in town for a wedding!

We experienced unfortunate weather while staying at the Moss Beach house. While loss of power was not ultimately the host's fault, it was how they handled partnership and communication with us following that was. BE FOREWARNED. There is a very irresponsible 3rd party involved with this rental that stopped communicating with us as soon as it became inconvenient for them. We lost power less than 24 hours into our stay and there were no flashlights or candles anywhere in the home. The power was still out the following morning (yes, we ended up 'camping' in the house through the 2nd night despite no hot water, cell service, internet, etc). By noon the next day when the power had STILL not been restored, we needed to make a decision about accommodations that would support our family's needs. The host has since completely ignored our calls and texts and showed NO understanding of us needing to move to a hotel so that we could support our kids needs (we were told via a single message with the actual 'host' when reaching out via VRBO that losing the power 'wasn't their fault' rather than recognizing the inconvenience a basic hotel would have honored in that situation). Additionally, beware of the ants in the home - they are EVERYWHERE. Lastly, the 3rd party is known as "Wave House" and yet the Credit Card processor is known as "Booking Away" - I would stay far, far away - irresponsible management and fishy 3rd party involvement (the phone number went to a personal cell phone).

Exactly as pictured, convenient location on the coast, well stocked kitchen (thank you for having sharp knives!), comfortable beds, fireplace worked, no Highway noise. BbBQ was clean and worked. We appreciated the ease of checking out.

We rented the house for four adults to get away for a week over the holidays (we’re from the Bay Area) and it was great! It’s right on 1 and about a 5 minute walk from the Franklin marine preserve. We ended up renting e-bikes which was a great way to get around half moon bay. The host made it super easy to rent (they dropped them off and picked up). We also had some friends over one day- it was a little tight for seating at a table but we made it work. The kitchen had most of the things we needed (we ended up bringing a hand mixer) and we would definitely come back another year!

This house and area are absolutely beautiful. There were ants all over the house! We couldn't leave anything out not even clothes or open suitcases. They were on the beds as well. The tub didn't work either. Getting those fixed it'd be a 5 star property. Despite the issues we enjoyed our stay.

I stayed with two of my close friends at this property. It was peaceful with a lovely view of the ocean. The neighborhood was a bit run down and the complex itself is pretty old, but once inside the condo it was nice, with all the necessities, comfy beds, and we had a fabulous walk on the beach.

This was the perfect house for our visit to San Francisco since we didn't want to stay in the city. Beach was literally in our front yard and the house was cozy and nice. Great local market and coffee. Great family rental!

This property is amazing. The rooms were comfy, everything is well maintained, and all the necessities are stocked! The beds all have new tempurpedic mattresses, so we all slept wonderfully. The location is perfect for exploring the Bay Area. Really enjoyed our stay!

The house was above and beyond my expectations. The house was clean, comfortable and had little amenities that we definitely appreciate. The location was very convenient.
The only issue was we drove 8 hours with kids, got into town around 3p. Didn’t get the code for the house until 8p. The Wi-Fi in the house wasn’t working either.

Wish I could give it 10 stars!
I was a little nervous when there were only 2 reviews for this but let me tell you, it’s amazing. Little touches like black out curtains, first aid kit and games make it feel like it home. The beds were comfortable and even though it’s on a busy highway, the driveway is long and easily accessible to get in and out. We loved exploring all the beaches close by and taking a day tour to San Francisco. And Monterey bay. I’d absolutely recommend this place for families who want to be together. We had an awesome ping pong tournament and movies every night. Thanks for the awesome house!!
