We love The Ridge. Have been coming since 1988. Would recommend for families. This particular location was great. The power in the bathroom went out our last day, but it was just the toilet/shower area so it wasn't a big deal to work around it. The both hot tubs in the building were not working and it looked like the out of service sign had been there for a while. So expect to trudge to another building if you want to go in a hot tub.

Everything was good but no air conditioning made the stay a little uncomfortable.

Host is amazing and responds quickly to any inquiries. This was my third time staying here with the Ackerman's as host. They are the best! Areas of the property have had recent renovations since last year. We keep coming back to the Ridge as it is our home away from home. It is very close to Boulder Lodge, and Stagecoach is right next door! We love it at the Ridge, with the Ackerman's as host!

The room was very nice, but the spare bed/sofa had 30% of the bed supports broken. It was left open with broken parts stacked on the end table. Maintenance should have fixed this for sure. Location was ok, but you had to walk as far to the shuttle as you do if you walk down the road. Easily revised.

I've stayed there with my 5 years old daughter. We absolutely enjoyed the stay. The Jacuzzi was on the floor and it was great to have it nearby. The condo had everything we needed, for cooking and baking. We stayed for 10 days and really loved. It's very close to the stagegoat lift.

Everything worked out great. Just took some getting acclimated to 7500 ft, elevation. The weather was also perfect. All things worked properly. Everyone at the resort were very nice and helpful. The resort could do a better job on managing recyclables! No real complaints.

The property was as expected and as pictured, but being from Florida we didnot think to check to see if the unit had AC. In August it is necessary.
The carbon monoxide alarm went off on our first night, after a 2 hour wait, it was fixed. On our last night the door bell started ringing at random, no kids were around.
The unit was clean and well stocked with utensils etc.

We would love to stay at this condo again! The check in process was the easiest ever experienced. We were greeted by a friendly welcoming individual at the condo. She supplied keys, helpful info about condo and parking and lots of interesting ideas for our stay in Breck. Parking is easy under condo and heated! Condo is well laid out and VERY well supplied! Bed very comfortable. Lastly, communicating with the owners was easy and responses quick.
Condo could not be in a better location. From the balcony, we could see the 5 peaks of Breckinridge and enjoy the afternoon sun after a long day of skiing. Quicksilver lift is just across street, close enough to walk there in our ski boots.

We stayed at this condo primarily to ski at Heavenly. The condo is very nice and in great shape and well stocked. Access to the mountain was easy with the shuttle. Covered parking was very convenient, especially with all the snow.

The condo is quite nice, exactly as pictured. clean, decent furniture, fantastic view. Nice bedding etc. Decently furnished kitchen. All logistics were perfect. Checkin was amazing, at 2am in a snow storm. We really appreciated the front gate guard and shuttle bus drivers!! They did an awesome job with local transportation in very extreme weather.
There were some problems. The common property / amenities were not useable: pool was closed for maintenance, hot tub was dirty and not worth the risk of usage, indoor sports court (bubble) was closed. Living room TV didn't work (house tech tried to fix it, to no avail), ice maker didn't work. The little gondola/shuttle to the ski lift was down. The advertised pickleball court was outdoors and under 4 feet of snow.
Also to access the common facilities required a walk up an extremely steep hill. I could barely make it up when the road was slick with snow.
In general, this was a difficult location to reach due to the extreme winter weather. Mixed blessings. The Stagecoach lift was the only one reliably open during the storms, but we had to take a shuttle bus to get there. Staying up on the mountain had its advantages after hearing horror stories of local transportation to the lifts when the gondola was shut down for days at a time due to weather conditions. But the drive back to SLT was difficult, and as a result we never left the property for any evening activities.
The location is a tradeoff. Being next to the Stagecoach lift is nice, but it's a long way from town and the driving conditions were dangerous most of the time. 4WD/Chains absolutely necessary to get here in the winter. Especially this winter.

Excellent location with very easy access to stagecoach lift. We could either catch a shuttle to the lift or catch the shuttle to the skier express monorail gondola that drops you at the lift. Both were very easy and fairly quick. The room had an amazing view, was clean and had everything we needed. The owners were amazingly responsive to any questions we had and were very helpful. Overall if we go back to Heavenly this is where we will stay.

We had a wonderful stay and a memorable summer vacation at Lake Tahoe! Thank you to our great hosts! This property is full of amenities for the whole family. The kids loved the pools and jacuzzis, mini golf, pool table, ping pong, Bingo night, and more. I enjoyed the sauna every evening. The room was clean. It was very convenient to have a full kitchen and laundry in the unit. Shower had great water pressure. The property does not have air conditioning, but there are fans. Beautiful views from the property too! Good coffee.
We were very close to all the places we wanted to visit around Lake Tahoe: Emerald Bay (Rubicon Trail, Eagle Falls), Sunset at Party Rock, and Sand Harbor. We were close to grocery stores, restaurants.
Great place for families! Thank you.

Just my husband and I decided to take a trip to Tahoe and we found this VRBO! The unit was so big, more than enough space for just the two of us. Lovely views, and the staff at the resort were extremely helpful and friendly. The resort is a short 10 minute drive to South Lake area downtown and an easy drive to the north part of the lake and Incline Village. Keep in mind if you do stay in the summer, there is no A/C. They have these little units that do help with the heat, but it is still warm. It did not take away from our stay. The Ackermans were also very communicative and easy to work with.

Excellent location with everything you need.
Great communication with the owners, Jerry and Nancy, who were very helpful and responded quickly.
The location is right next to Stagecoach lift which was very convenient, Boulder lift was about 1 mile away which was very easy to access from our location. Close to gear rental and a short drive into town for dinner and shopping. Exclusive and safe feel with a gatehouse to access the property. For my family having a kitchen on vacation is awesome because we like to eat breakfast in. :)
We will be back and look forward to staying here again!

Spacious and convenient
This property was spacious (large bedroom and living area, full kitchen, in-unit washer/dryer) and comfortable. It was perfect for our ski trip. This is one of the units of Holiday Inn Vacations and although the buildings and hallways were clearly dated, the unit itself was well equipped and nice. My two complaints are 1) the bed is a sleep number bed and it was a bit cumbersome to adjust and find a comfortable setting and 2) the TV remote was pretty frustrating as it was unresponsive and would not accept channel inputs (you had to manually move up and down one channel at a time). We never used the tram to get to the stagecoach lift; of the 3 days we skied, we drove to the parking lot 2 days (just down the hill but it was very convenient to ski out of thee car) and took the shuttle once day which picks you up just outside the main entrance of the Plaza building and drops you steps from the lift. If you are going to ski at Heavenly, proximity to stagecoach lift was fantastic because you can get on the slopes faster than if you stay on the Stateline/CA side. We heard the gondola line was almost an hour wait vs. we only waited at stage coach for the lifts to open and that line cleared out in 6 mins. I would not recommend getting the ski-locker ($25 deposit so make sure you return the key). I would recommend you check out the Preview Ski shop that is across the road from the Plaza building; the guys there really took fantastic care of our skis (patch, tuning, hot wax) for a super reasonable price.

Great Value
Great time at Heavenly. Great location. Building itself is outdated but condo well maintained and updated. Hot tubs sub par for a resort style setting but overall a great trip
