Well appointed Vacation Cottage, newly renovated by the Owners; An Architect and an Interior Designer as a Modern Farmhouse.
5 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, 2 large living rooms, an entertaining playroom and a well-equipped Kitchen, Front and Rear covered porches w/ a Hot Tub overlooking the open forest view.
The large open lawn hosts volleyball net, soccer goals, picnic tables with lighting for outdoor dining, Solo fire pit sitting area, BBQ grill and yoga matts for your early am flow.
The Hot Tub for 5 is conveniently located under the covered rear porch overlooking the forest. 5 min drive from Lake Mansfield and the town of Great Barrington and other beautiful surrounding hiking trails.

The house is fully air-conditioned/heated with ample storage and closets for shoes, ski gear and coats. Walking into an open floor plan; Kitchen, Dining & couched Fireplace sitting area & Living Rooms.
The kitchen is fully equipped and has an eat-in island (sits 5). The dining table is large enough to for great family and friends gatherings.
The house has 2 separate large Living Rooms, each equipped with 75” HD smart TV and large sectional sofas.
The playroom includes a full size double Pop-A-Shot (double hoop basketball game), Air Hockey table, a Foosball table, XL Janga, Remi cube, Bingo and other board games.
The Laundry room equipped with 2 Washer machines and 2 Dryers.
The 2nd floor includes a Yoga space / Sitting area overlooking the forest, 2nd Master bedroom, oversized King room with office space and anther bathroom with tub.

Perfect stay from check in to check out. Lovely home! We enjoyed our stay very much & would definitely stay here again. Comfy beds & lots of activities to keep kiddos happy. Location is great, less than 10 minute drive to downtown Great Barrington. Absolutely great stay!!

A great spot to meetup with our friends and let our kids run around and have a good time. Kid-friendly and nice amenities. A bit on the pricey side, but felt well-taken care of by the host/owner.

We had a family gathering over four days of Thanksgiving, kids to grandparents. Quiet location in the woods, but just minutes to get into Great Barrington for shopping, exploring, hiking. The kitchen was well-stocked for cooking and serving a full turkey dinner for the crowd, except for a roasting pan big enough for a 24-pound turkey (family member who hadn't left their house brought one). We had two issues with appliances that we reported but it was the day we were leaving so we weren't around when they were repaired. House was immaculately clean, with several different seating areas for choices to watch football or read/knit/talk; beds all very comfy with duvets. The 100-1,000 stars were awarded by the two youngest grandchildren. Not only did they both get top bunks in their bedroom, they loved all the games in the game room and the outside soccer nets. Any questions we had before we arrived were answered promptly by the host. Definitely recommended.

This is a very lovely property, perfect for a long weekend with family. The bedrooms are spread out so that everyone had comfort and privacy. The house has all the expected amenities, lots of fun extras (the basketball game machine!), and has clearly been designed with guests in mind (love the labeling of light switches). Thoroughly enjoyed and appreciated our stay.

House is beautiful and very comfortable. Each bedroom and bath was welcoming and cheerful. The kitchen is well stocked with cookware, dishes, and spices!!
Big fenced well-tended yard with lots of seating choices. BBQ grill made cooking easy.
Air-conditioners worked well and Wi-Fi strong to make it a very nice comfortable and productive stay (if you have to do some work).
Great house that is 10min drive to Great Barrington Town Center making foods pharmacy, and other shopping very easy.
Shay was always responsive making any issues easy to solve. Thanks Shay for a great stay.

8 of us recently spent 4 nights at The Great Escape cottage. The house is perfect for a large group with plenty of spaces to find time alone plus gorgeous outdoor space and separate TV/game room area. The house was immaculately clean which is super important to me. It was stocked with everything we needed for our stay. One en-suite bedroom and another larger bedroom with hallways bathroom upstairs. There is another larger en-suite bedroom on the first floor with two more bedrooms (the lofted bedroom and the bunk room) off the game room which is a bit less central to the main living area. Great for privacy but less great if your party includes people who plan to use the TV/game room late into the night. A/C in every room which was great for all our various temperature preferences. The back and front yards are huge with lots of cozy places to sit. The hot tub is great as is the fire pit. I would return to this house in a heartbeat. Don’t hesitate if you’re considering the house!

The house was great! We are 3 couples who have been getting together once a year for a long weekend. The home met all our needs. We enjoyed cooking, playing games and hanging out watching football. Overall a very nice experience.

The game and bunk rooms were a huge hit with the young children in our group. The house is beautifully decorated and had everything we needed for a long ski weekend, with great access to both Jiminy Peak and Butternut. We look forward to returning next year!

This house has a wonderful layout for families. It was beyond amazing for the kids to essentially have an entire wing to themselves. Adult bedrooms and bathrooms were very nice. Comfortable mattresses, lots of spaces to hang and a very nice kitchen. Plenty of hot water for multiple people to shower while the dishwasher was even running. Super close to Butternut for skiing and the town of GB. Would definitely return.

We were 3 adult couples staying at the house for a week during Christmas. The house was as described and as shown in the pictures, nicely decorated and with 2 separate living areas for gathering with the family, watching TV or playing games. The kitchen was a decent size, but the counter space was a little bit of a challenge if more than 2 people were cooking at the same time. Other than that, the kitchen was well stocked and had everything that was needed for a family meal. Overall it was a great experience!

The yard is terrific especially with the fenced area.
Accomodations , game room, device support all great.
Clean up before departure guidelines seemed excessive compared to other properties especially with added cleaning fees for pets--hand vac was limiting.

This house was absolutely divine and beyond our expectations! It was thoughtfully designed....the owners really put a lot of thought into how to best use the space and make it convenient for guests. It was beautifully decorated and was SO CLEAN! The kids enjoyed the game room so much they didn't want to leave the house!

Nine friends and I gathered at Shay’s property to enjoy my bachelorette party! The house exceeded our expectations; it was incredibly spacious, modern, and had great outdoor spaces. My one friend especially enjoyed the basketball in the game room. I would recommend this home for all types of gatherings!

We enjoyed a lengthy stay at this property over the summer. My kids loved the game room and the bunk room and we all enjoyed nights around the fire pit. The house is clean and well kept and very comfortable. The outdoor space is very spacious and private. The house is in a great location, close to the town and great restaurants, as well as lakes and swimming holes. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

An place for a holiday
We were 3 adults and 4 children (6-12) and this home was just perfect. The rooms were very clean, beds super comfy and kitchen perfectly stocked with all utensils and items for day to day meals and also for entertaining. Our kids LOVED the game room and bunk beds, full access to Disney plus and Netflix. There was a fire pit for s’mores and fenced in back yard for games of tag. Tons of towels and pillows and having spices, oils, sugar, salt, cleaning products made it such an easy stay. We really loved our time at this property and thanks to Shay for sharing his beautiful home with us. We hope to come back!

Girls weekend
This house was great for our girls weekend! So many bedrooms and everything is decorated so well, definitely felt very comfortable. We were 11 people and had plenty of spaces to hang out as a big group. The pictures don't do it justice. Only thing missing is a pool in the backyard, but for our activities we did not need to go swimming. I would absolutely use this rental again!

Excellent stay!
We really enjoyed our stay at the house. The location was great, perfect for skiing at Butternut (less than 10 min away) and just as close to town in Great Barrington. The house was just as described. Very clean, comfortable and larger than we expected. There is a great game room with pop-a-shot, air hockey and foosball, all of which worked perfectly. There are two TV areas each with big comfy couches and big screens, one in the game room (great for kids) and the other off the kitchen and entry. The two bedrooms off the game room have the bunk bed setups. The kids loved them. They were also very sturdy wooden beds which we appreciated. There are through-wall heat/AC units in each of those bedrooms which worked very well to keep the rooms comfortable. The kitchen was very well appointed and stocked with cooking utensils, plenty of dishes and silverware. We didn’t use the outside since it was zero degrees while we were there (other than the helpfully provided salt for the walk) but the fire pit looks like it’d be great in summer. Importantly, everything at the house worked - there was nothing broken or not working properly. There are two washers and two dryers so we got all the ski equipment through the wash each night. The driveway was plowed early on the day of our departure after heavy overnight snowfall. A great stay and highly recommended!

Magical stay
We had a wonderful time over the holiday break. The house is incredibly suited for families - games, plush couches, lots of space. The game room is a perfect bonus and kept the little ones entertained for hours. We cooked nightly and found the kitchen to be well stocked with everything that we needed. The property is fantastic with trails behind it and fenced in yard. The decor is very inviting - setting a great ambiance for any visitor. We hope to make a visit back soon.

Berkshire Getaway
My family (husband and kids, brother and his kids, our dad) enjoyed a long weekend get-away at this fantastic house outside of Great Barrington. The house was extremely well-equipped for families, spotlessly clean, and very nicely decorated. The kitchen has everything you need to prepare family meals, and all the decor was nicely done and comfortable, without being overly fussy or "breakable." Particularly great for family groups was the playroom with air hockey, foosball, and a basketball game, as well as a separate TV area. Kids bedrooms are off of this space, which would be especially great if you were vacationing with a bunch of older kids who could hang out separately from adults if desired. The outdoor spaces were very comfortable as well - we played games outside and used the fire pit multiple times. This house can easily and comfortably accomodate an extended family with kids or a group of friends with kids, and there is lots to do on the property and hiking, playgrounds, and dining nearby. The property owner is responsive and accomodating. I would definitely return to this property! Highly recommend.

Great home for Family getaway
We had two families stay at the property for a long weekend in October. The house is great, plenty of room and space for both families. The bedrooms were large (the kids loved the bunkbed room) and the kitchen and living areas were comfortable and cozy. The backyard was great and fenced in and the firepit made for great nights outside for stargazing. Lovely house for a getway that is close to town and hiking.
