About this cottage rental
As its name might imply, this delightful country cottage enjoys uninterrupted views of a magnificent 14th century church; one of the many attractions to be found in this historical village that draws visitors from far afield around the year.
Built circa 1750, Church Cottage is a pretty flint and pantile semi-detached cottage that enjoys an especially peaceful location - the front door opens straight onto the village church yard! Sympathetically updated and furnished in a relaxing cottage style that sits beautifully with the many character features to be found - original beams, lime rendered walls and an inglenook fireplace. Entering the cottage via the front entrance porch, you are given a warm welcome by the dual aspect sitting room with a wood burning stove that amplifies the cosy factor. From the sitting room a couple of steps lead down to the kitchen, where there is a dining area overlooking the picturesque church yard, and a back door that opens to the cottage's courtyard garden. Upstairs you will find two double bedrooms, both with lovely views and en-suite bathrooms. Outside, the cottage has a fully enclosed sunny garden with a dining and seating area. A perfect choice for outside dining during the summer months. Your four legged friend will love the warm paved area too.
Church Cottage is located in a conservation area steeped in history and an ideal choice if you are looking for a peaceful rural location with excellent local facilities - a great pub, a popular tea room, a handy Spar shop, a fish and chip shop and, a little further afield, a Waitrose at the nearby market town of Swaffham too. With beautiful, scenic walks from the doorstep and fascinating historical ruins to explore you will easily be able to fill your time. Church Cottage is available for both short and longer breaks around the year and a perfect choice for a couple or two, as well as a small family.
Additional Information:
One well behaved dog welcome (small additional charge).
Pillows and duvets are synthetic fibre.
There are steps between rooms on both floors.

Church Cottage was the ideal place for the 4 of us.
We were blessed by the weather and this allowed us to make full use of the many attractions including the North Norfolk Music Festival.
The two ensuite rooms were just as we wanted and the kitchen and dining area was ideal with the comfortable sitting room for us to relax in the evenings.
A thoroughly deserved 5 stars

Myself and my sister stayed here in May 2022 and enjoyed the cottage greatly.
It is set in a good location with views of the churchyard right outside the front porch.....where everyday you can see Rabbits.
The property had all the things we needed whilst on our stay in Norfolk (though weirdly no salt or pepper). There was a pack of leaflets and info etc left at the cottage.
On the downside.....both of us were greatly affected by the curtains in the bedrooms. Downstairs there are nice thick curtains that cut out the light. In the bedrooms, there are light curtains that let in the light in the morning...waking us both up early each morning.....and yes I did have an eye mask!
The garden had a nice set of table and chairs, as well as a bench.
Note to cottage owners :
Some more small bins would be useful as there were none in the living room or bedrooms.
More clocks please, there was only one in the kitchen.

Girlie week awsy
The cottage was in a great little village with lots of walks , near the coast and great places to eat .
The cottage itself had no out door furniture except a very wobbly bench . Iam very particular as I like cottages to be as nice as my own home so bed linen not matching and un ironed along with small towels doesn’t do it for me !! The oven was greasy and had left over food in it too !
All we had for a welcome pack was a packet of biscuits no milk etc . Toilet and shower leaked which they knew about before.Although they sent someone over it is not the hassle you want when you go away .
