Ten miles to the south is Bass Lake, with fishing, boating, and swimming. There's horseback riding, short hikes to waterfalls, and the Sugar Pine Railroad two miles away. Just inside Yosemite's gate, three miles away, is the Mariposa Grove of Giant Sequoias - some of earth's largest, most breathtaking trees. Twelve miles to the south is Oakhurst, with shops, grocery stores, entertainment, and art galleries. Four miles into Yosemite is the village of Wawona, with horseback riding, golfing, stagecoach rides, dining, and a seasonal pioneer history center. There are several restaurant options, and our favorite little general store is less than a mile away.
This hilltop cabin is a treasured place, and a fantastic stay awaits!

We had a great weekend at this Vacasa property in Fish Camp. The home was warm, inviting, and well-equipped, providing everything we needed. It was clean and charming, with a cozy, homey feel that reminded us of a holiday cottage. Just a heads-up: the driveway and access to the house are up a very steep hill, so if you’re driving a large truck, you’ll need to use both of the provided parking spaces. The drive to Yosemite Valley takes about an hour and 20 minutes. Overall, it’s a a good choice for a getaway!

My bf didn’t want to leave. Nice location. Expensive is the only downside and at times felt the hot water had issues.

It was a nice cabin that had everything we needed for our week in Yosemite.
It’s outside the park.. so you do have to go through the park gates, which can be a long wait (up to an hour during peak times)…

We (myself, husband and 12,15 & 18 yo kids) are on a 12 day tour of the west and Yosemite was the last stop before San Francisco. The house was perfect! The beds were very comfortable and the house had a much needed washing machine and dryer. The location to the park was excellent and the host clearly put in nice touches to make our stay perfect! We would definitely come back! Thanks!

This cabin is minutes away from Yosemite which was exactly what we were looking for. It is remote and quiet as we were the only ones staying in the area.
The house was somewhat difficult to find when we drove up the drive and the driveway to the house is very steep.
Once in the cabin, there were minor cleanliness issues, but Vacasa offered to remedy immediately, however it could use a good, deep cleaning.
There were extra touches in the house such as coffee, snacks and dishes etc. We stopped in Oakhurst to purchase grocery items and very glad that we did as it allowed us the ability to survive after getting snowed in. Once the road was covered in snow, we had to start digging our way out because the snowplow does not come up the drive. That was the least favorite part of our trip. However, property management sent someone up on the 3rd day. During that time, we did not lose power and we were very warm and cozy. It was a very relaxing few days.
Overall we enjoyed our stay and would return again for that quiet, remote atmosphere so close to Yosemite.

Our stay was great, enjoyed seeing the park. Half Done and El Capitan are un-describable. You have to see them to appreciate their beauty. There are many rock formations as well as the Sequoia, Cedar, Oak, Sugar Pine just to name a few that are a must see. The down side to our vacation was, upon arrival the cabin was 52 degrees, however when we tried to turn the heater on it would not come on. Granted we had arrived a few minutes early. Called the number on our reservation, was told they could get someone out to the cabin the next day. That was not the answer we expected, finally as I was cancelling the reservations the heater came on, we stayed and the rest of our time there went very well. I did feel the ad for the cabin was a touch miss leading, at first read I thought it had two complete baths, upon further checking into the information it does reveal 1 and 1/2 bath. Would certainly recommend the cabin with a couple if warnings. Very clean, well stocked, plenty of towels!

We absolutely loved our stay and wished we could have stayed longer! My two toddlers loved the loft area. Everything has been well thought out. Thank you for having kids dinnerware and cups! We have recommended this cabin to all of our friends and hope we can stay again sometime in the future. We got "The Mammoth" meal from Smokehouse 41 and ate it on the porch. It was our favorite meal of our trip! The complimentary snacks and drinks were very much appreciated. The area was quiet and peaceful. I enjoyed drinking coffee on the porch and looking for bears.

This cute cabin suited our needs perfectly! So close to the park entrance and in a quiet neighborhood. A little tricky to get there, but once you are there, you will feel right at home. The cabin was well appointed and very clean. Everything was thought out by the owners and that made our stay comfortable and relaxing.

The kitchen is thoughtfully stocked and my teenagers loved the loft! Even better in person. Mattresses very comfy. The property is secluded yet safe.

A wonderful cabin experience
The cabin is beautiful and very close to Yosemite's south entrance. My family loved the location, halfway-ish between the valley and Oakhurst which allowed us to spend our day in the valley and our nights ordering food from Oakhurst.

Perfect Winter Getaway!
The cabin is fantastic. Comfortable bed, games for the kids, great loft are to chill out which also heats up quickly when you get in. Location-wise, being so close to goat meadow snoplay was a great, we could nip up for an hour and back. Badger pass ski resort is close as well. We had a great weekend (and the beds are super comfi),

well appointed, super clean family cabin
The location of this cabin can't be beat if you are looking to visit Yosemite and the surrounding area. It's cute and well-stocked with detailed touches that make you feel at home. The downside is that it was quite cold in the cabin during our winter stay. There was not a usable fireplace. Guests should note there is a steep and narrow drive as well. We'd stay again in Spring-Fall.
