About this house rental

Enjoy the best views of the ocean from this perfectly situated 2-bedroom home. Casa Oceana sleeps 4 with a California King, and a convertible Queen (or 2 twins). A full kitchen allows for meals at home, or conveniently located, you can walk to restaurants and stores in a short 10 minutes. All new amenities throughout. Relax by the pool and listen to the sounds of the ocean, or enjoy a yoga session while overlooking the horizon of the Atlantic Ocean and views of the main island of Puerto Rico.

The space

Casa Oceana is perfectly located in Vieques, PR, within walking distance from the ferry. The 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom private home comes complete with a pool, plenty of outside deck and seating areas, and a full kitchen.

THE HOUSE
With all new amenities, the house is furnished for modern comfort! Stainless steel appliances in the kitchen include a spacious fridge/freezer combo with ice maker, dishwasher, gas stove and oven, microwave, and toaster. Enjoy cooking at home with all the pots, pans and utensils.

A/C's are throughout the house, tho the ocean breezes will keep you comfortable during the day.

Beautiful tile and polished concrete countertops make for a lovely ocean-front vacation home. You will enjoy the property in privacy, including the pool and parking. A gated entrance will keep give you peace of mind, along with outward facing security cameras, and a keypad entry system.

The outside seating areas include lounge chairs, plush cushion chairs and ottomans, outside dining for 8, and an ocean-side bar for sunset cocktails.

A California king is situated in the main bedroom with an ensuite bathroom. A flat screen TV and fluffy pillows allow for a comfortable rest, and for the guests wanting to sleep late: blackout curtains! The adjoining full-bath is beautifully created with a step-in shower, pedestal sink, and closet.

The guest bedroom sleeps 2 additional guests, either as a twin bed, a trundle queen, or 2 twins. Enjoy another flat screen TV here, or choose a book from the library for some quiet-time.

A community bathroom off the kitchen hosts another step-in shower, and luxurious towels are provided for all guests, including beach towels.

The laundry room is available to guests with a stackable washer and dryer.
Guest access
Vieques is situated on a small Caribbean island off the east coast of Puerto Rico, and does require additional travel and planning. To get to Vieques from San Juan, you can fly or ferry.

Casa Oceana is a short 10-minute walk from the ferry, and also from Isabel Segunda –– Vieques's downtown. You can access grocery stores, restaurants, bars and shopping on foot, however, we do recommend renting a vehicle while on the island to see the beautiful white-sand beaches Vieques has to offer, as well as the famous bioluminescent bay and other wildlife only to be seen here! The island does tend to run out of rental cars, so these should be booked well in advance. You will have access to parking on the property.
Other things to note
Vieques is raw and remote, and this is part of our island charm! There are no stop lights on the island, or fast food joints, or big box shopping. Everything moves at a much slower pace. The island is prone to brown-outs, and city water can be shut off at times with no warning. Hurricane season is typically September thru November, and we cannot control the weather! Gas shortages to the island are typical, and shopping can sometimes be a scavenger hunt. Again, part of the island's charm! If you're looking for discos that are open until wee hours of the morning, this is not the place for you. Vieques is run by thousands of wild horses and the best tropical beaches in the Caribbean.

Holly was amazing! She was helpful with all of our questions and available if we needed anything. Casa Oceana is a great place to stay, walking distance to ferry and restaurants. Hope to stay again next trip!

Everything was terrific. Holly was always reachable and in contact with us. Neighborhood was quiet. And for someone who doesn’t like the beach 😂, the pool was great. We spent the afternoons using the pool.

Cutest water front home that has everything you will need for your stay on Vieques: Toiletries, pantry with basics, beach gear, first aid, even sunscreen and bug spray. Holly was hands down the best host we’ve ever had. She checked us in, checked on us and gave recommendations for everything from tours to restaurants to her favorites. We can’t wait to come back!

Amazing location, beautiful and pristine beachfront home. What's not to love? Everything was simply wonderful and the host very communicative. Would highly recommend for anyone looking for the ultimate relaxation experience, but still close enough to town for excellent food and shopping. Will definitely be back! ;)

Holly's place is WONDERFUL!! She is very welcoming and very prompt in communicating. Her rental is superbly located overlooking the water with a huge amount of outdoor space that includes a covered/shaded dining area, lots of seating and a pool that is big enough for more than 'spashing'. The indoor spaces are sparkling clean and have everything anyone could possibly need. (I wish my kitchen was as modern and as well-equipped.) Each of the bathrooms has a good size shower with amazing water pressure. The master bedroom is perfect, while the 2nd bedroom is completely serviceable, if not quite as luxe. Holly has lots of books for her guests to read, and the televisions (3) are new and seemed to work without any issues. The availiblity of the washer and dryer was really helpful. Don't bring too much--you can just wash and rewear a few items. Holly also provides lots of beach towels, some high quality and very comfortable beach chairs, and a well-designed beach tote/cooler for her guests to use. Though in a quiet location, the rental is a short walk from Isabell II, the location of the ferry, stores and restaurants. Holly is a GREAT HOST of a VERY SPECIAL PROPERTY! We look forward to renting from her again in the future.

Casa Oceana is an amazing property, we were so fortunate to enjoy our Vieques stay here. Even with so many comforts inside the house we spent most of our time on the patios watching the waves or near the pool. The ice maker was in heavy use, and we had plenty of clean bedding and towels on hand. Holly was very communicative had great suggestions for activities. Would definitely recommend!

This trip was our family’s favorite vacation and the house was an important reason why we loved it so much. The design of the house and grounds, the super comfortable king size bed, fully stocked, modern kitchen, and private pool are highlights. Our hosts were super informative and responsive - always ready to help, but there was no need to contact them as the house is in perfect condition.

This place is even better than then pictures! It’s gorgeous! The decor and cleanliness are top notch! The hosts were extremely responsive and checked on us, gave us suggestions. The island itself was so much fun and relaxing. The pool was a perfect size and we would swim at night after beaching it most of the day. The house had lots of kitchen and bathroom items to utilize. We are very impressed! We absolutely love it. Thank you for letting us stay here!

I can’t say enough good things about this house. The view is amazing! The house was also well stocked with anything we needed plus things we didn’t even expect. We didn’t know what to think about the swings at first, but everyone loved them. Communication was great, the beds were comfortable and the a/c works perfectly. I will definitely stay here again when on the island.

This property was great!! It was located at the end of the street, right on the water with absolute beautiful views!! Holly was so responsive to all our questions the whole time and gave us great suggestions for food, beaches and things to do! The house was clean and a perfect home away from home!! It was well stocked with kitchen items that you’re free to use while cooking! The house was perfect! We def plan on visiting Vieques again and look forward to staying at Holly & Ricks property!
