Had an original rental cancel the night before (homeowner removed house from Vacasa) and this one was a substitute they offered. What a surprise, because this house was awesome! The back porch is definitely a highlight with an awesome view.

This was an A-mazing cabin! All of the little touches were perfect. It had everything you need. The back deck/tV/fireplace with deck throws was our favorite! The kids (and adults) had a blast down stairs on the pool table, movie room (yes bean bags are comfy for adults too!) and loved Mario cart on the Wii (batteries in remotes need replaced). Some might say this is silly, but a perk to this place is the way it’s set up! Bears are definitely in the area as we had paw prints on car doors one day, but I loved how the decks are up separate and blocked off and you can actually RELAX on the deck or in the hot tub without having to be anxious what is around the corner! (I’ve stayed in places like that before and it’s hard to relax with every fluttering leaf). This place was great and we would love to come back!!!!! Thanks so much for sharing your Gem!

The house was perfect for our crew. Couldn’t ask for a better location and view!

The cabin was very nice and clean but the WiFi did not work so couldn’t access any of the TVs. The hot tub was freezing. We called the support number. They had no one who could come out to help us with either issue. By morning we still hadn’t hear from anyone so decided to check out and move to a hotel. We rented this place because of the amenities listed. We feel we should be given a refund for the remaining two nights. We have rented several times from VRBO without any issues. This is the first time our rental was handled by Vacasa. Whole thing was a nightmare. We won’t be renting again. It was expensive and certainly didn’t live up to listing.

Gorgeous house tucked away in a very remote location w amazing views. Plenty of room for our family… main reason I rented house was for the back porch- but sadly nothing worked- fireplace wouldn’t light and propane for heater empty. Upstairs air didn’t work, several remotes and clocks had no batteries or they were dead, microwave did not heat, screens were missing in windows (later found hidden behind dresser). It indicates pet friendly but for little dogs yard was a struggle; so be aware- it’s also a distance from Boone (not being familiar with mountain driving- 12 miles to me is close- however it’s a 45-50 min drive). If house was inspected prior to rental; would’ve been an amazing stay.

This property was a good size home for the 10 people and two dogs we had. View is good and location is secluded and off beaten path.

Overall my friends and I had a good time but some things we were not satisfied with. The following were issues we had: broken hot tub, broken locks on doors, falsely advertised gym, missing bed sheets, only a $50 refund for a broken hot tub, tv remotes missing , beds not being made, and a very poor cleaning job.

The covered porch with outdoor fireplace was our favorite part of this home. You can also walk directly to a great hiking trail. It was a very comfortable and well equipped home. Note: do not plan to play tennis at Beech Mt. Club unless you transfer owner’s membership to your name. This is what we were told when we asked to play tennis.

The house was in an amazing location and what sells the house is outdoor living space. It was perfect and we spent 95% of our time there. However no remotes worked in the house, tv, ceiling fans, nothing. There was not a spatula or cooking spoon in the house. There was not no hand soap in the bathroom, no dishwasher detergent, no kitchen towels or dish clothes. The outside heater only Elgar enough gas for one night. It is an amazing house the owners needs to do some refreshing on amenities. Thanks!

The house on Locus Ridge Road was adequate, with plenty of space for our multi-generational group to spread out. The outdoor covered porch had two heaters, necessary this rainy weekend. A few kitchen tools that we needed for baking were lacking, measuring spoons, etc. We could have used better instructions about where to take recyclables that our group generated, and convenient grocery shopping locations.

The house was not as advertised. Weeds growing all over the front. Light bulbs out. Mold on the shower curtain. Dusty. Broken window shades, dead leaves on deck. No cable connection to lower level TV. Dirty, stained deck cushions....and more

We arrivied with my family to celebrate my birthday. At the evening mentioned that AC is not working tried to contact for 2 days anyone for this property, finally someone got back to me and told me that previous had an issue with freon and repairs was done not well, the next available AC guy is available in a week, and for now just open windows should be cooller (we had 8 years old son with us) No any other option was offered. Bad experience.

Wonderful view. Deck was the highlight of the home for sure. And the beds were super comfortable. However, the AC unit upstairs was out and it was 81 degrees our first day. They couldn't send someone out until the next day and he was unable to fix it. The hot tub had been drained and refilled (due to previous tenants) and it took so long to heat back up we were unable to use it until halfway through the 2nd day, basically as soon as it started to thunderstorm. It was one of the main reasons for booking the house and we were only able to get in between break in the weather. I know they cannot control the weather, but it was very disappointing that it took an entire day to heat back up and we were only there 2 days. The grill on the deck looks like it has never been cleaned. It was full of debris and grease, and we had planned all our meals around the grill. The bottom of it caught fire the minute you start to cook. We continually had to turn it off, blow the fire out, and then try again. We only had one trash bag the entire trip provided to us, so cleaning it for them wasn't much of an option. We still enjoyed ourselves. I'm glad it wasn't during the hottest part of the summer, or we would have been miserable.

This home was a great pick for our family of 9 plus a pup! I think the outdoor space was our favorite. We watched some beautiful sunsets and even had a couple nights cool enough for the fire. The bedrooms were very comfortable and spacious. The hot tub was nice and clean. There were plenty of extra pillows and other linens, even beach towels and kitchen towels. There was also a nice starter set of toiletries and dish cleaner. The washer and dryer were nice to have available! We saw deer in the neighborhood every day. There is a beautiful spot at the end of the street past the house where the creek runs through and other beautiful trials nearby. We got the club transfer membership and enjoyed golf, swimming and pickleball!
The only suggestions we have are supplying some fresh cooking utensils and improving bathtub drains which they were going to check on after our stay.

We enjoyed this property for 5 nights. Beds were comfortable, easy check in process. There was a huge yellow jacket hive on the back porch which was removed the next morning after check in. The property manager called to tell us it was there. I was very grateful because I am very allergic to bites of all kinds. The property is about a 10 min drive to restaurants in the Beech Mountain area. It is a very curvey drive to get to the property. You would definitely need a 4WD in the winter. Very isolated only one neighbor. 20 mins to Banner Elk. 35 mins to Grandfather Mountain. Good place to visit and to relax!! Would recommend.
