If you are looking for a quiet location, this is it! You can see the local harbor from the back deck and the local ship yard from the front of the house. The area is beautiful and charming. The town's post office is on the lower level of the house. The drive to Bar Harbor and/or Acadia National Park is about 30 minutes, but is scenic and provides a picture of the area. The house is old, but updated nicely and very comfortable. The reason for 4 stars rather than 5 is that the main level bathroom is on the upper level. So people sleeping in the main level bedroom had to climb a flight of stairs to get to a bathroom. Even with the multi-level bathroom issue, we would stay here again!!
