About this apartment rental
Spend your vacation, work-trip, or weekend getaway in our lovely, downtown apartment. Apartment 3 is located on the third floor where you have access to all our modern appliances: refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, washer and dryer combo unit. We have a luxurious shower, a queen bed in the bedroom, and a pull-out couch with a queen mattress in the living room. Both the bedroom and living room have large, flat-screen TVs and in the living room you will find a luxurious leather loveseat.
Our third floor apartment is located in the historic Parkside neighborhood of Portland. Portland is full of wonderful parks and green spaces in fact, we are located right around the block from the beautiful Deering Oaks Park where they hold a Saturday Farmer's Market during the summer and a short distance from the beautiful Eastern Promenade. We are a short walk away from the Old Port where there is an abundance of unique local bars, restaurants, pubs, and breweries as well as antique shops, thrift stores, theaters, and concert venues. The State Theatre, Port City Music Hall, and Thompson's Point hold great shows throughout the year. The Nickelodeon movie theater in downtown Portland has $5 shows on Tuesdays! In terms of food, it is hard NOT to find a restaurant in Portland that is not farm-to-table and locally grown and there are so many types of international cuisine to try during your time here. Wake up and grab a donut from the famous Holy Donut right down the street. Grab some brunch from Bayside American Cafe just a 5 minute walk from the apartment. There are so many options for food including vegan and vegetarian options, please let us know if you'd like additional suggestions. We are just a few blocks away from Maine Medical Center, so if you have an interview or important event, this is the perfect spot to stay. Take a day trip to one of the many beautiful islands in the Casco Bay from the ferry terminal located only a 25 minute walk from the apartment! Catch a baseball game during the summer months at the Portland Sea Dogs baseball stadium located just a few blocks away. Trader Joe's, Hannaford, Whole Foods, and Shaw's are just a 5-10 minute drive. Here are our personal favorites if you'd like some food/drink suggestions: Coffeeshop/Bakery: Holy Donut, Tandem Coffee, Arabica, Coffee ME Up Breakfast/Brunch: Bayside American Cafe, Becky's Diner, Hot Suppa (Southern food, always a huge line) Quick Bites: Poké Pop, Kamasouptra, Otto Pizza, BRGR Bar (get an adult milkshake!) Dinner: Local 188, Boda (go for late night specials!), Vignola's, El Corazón, Flatbread's (on the water), Hi Bombay, Green Elephant (100% vegetarian Thai restaurant) Desert: Gelato Fiasco Bars: Blyth & Burrows (mixology, unique cocktails), Portland Hunt & Alpine Club (great cocktail bar) Breweries: Bissell Brothers Brewing Company, Urban Farm Fermentory (awesome kombucha & ciders), Rising Tide
Everything in the downtown Portland/Old Port area is walkable, but Ubers are relatively cheap and you should be able to go anywhere on the peninsula for about $6. The metro also has several stops nearby where you can access the Maine Mall, the Jetport, Old Orchard Beach, and many other locations. We are located only 5 minutes driving from the Greyhound Station, Amtrak Station, and Concord Coach Lines and about 15 minutes from Portland International Jetport.

Very cute apartment that was just a few minutes walk from downtown north Portland. The property owner was very communicative and helpful throughout the whole process.

Very clean and the owners were very communicative and helpful. Neighborhood and parking wasn’t great, but was great for a one night getaway in Portland to go see a show.

Sweet little getaway
Had a great time staying here with my daughter while we explored downtown Portland. Apartment was nice and clean and just what we needed. The only drawback I would list was lack of onsite parking, but we did manage to find street parking each night.

Nice place to stay!
Place was very safe and a great spot not to close to the craziness of downtown but a quick Uber ride to the water. No A/C during early May. Would recommend more fans.

Sadly Disappointing
We want to first thank Liz for her prompt attention to our concerns without which, we would have left as soon as we arrived. This rental was incredibly dirty. The furniture was covered with old food crumbs. The towels need to be thrown away they're in such bad shape. The floors had dirt visibly all over them. The rugs were black with dirt as well. The entire apartment has an inch thick layer of dust on the light fixtures and windows. The only bed has a mattress that is so soft that you roll up in it when someone lays down next to you. And we found out as we were arriving that there was no dedicated parking for this rental, and that is a very big deal given the lack of parking in Portland. Thank you again Liz but to come from Alabama for a 10th Anniversary trip, we were not impressed with the stay.

Great stay!
My boyfriend and I visited Portland for the first time and had an amazing experience! This apartment is located right in town and only a short Uber ride away from many of the delicious restaurants Portland has to offer. The apartment was clean and updated with a beautiful bathroom and shower. They even accommodated us with a late check out which allowed us even more time to explore the city! Would definitely return soon!
