Hotel.com rate was higher than the Hilton rate however this was discovered after booking so no changes could be made I booked The presidential suite because it was my daughter’s birthday and we planned to have some of her friends from Portland join us for cocktails in the room For the price of the room, I was very disappointed overall. cleanliness was less than average and the room appeared dated, the couch was worn and pilled and the pillows were old and stained. The rug was also stained. Nothing looked as I expected. The decor is tired. Same with the towels and the robes, old and worn. maybe that’s not a big deal to others but it is to me. My expectations are simple, friendly, clean and comfortable. The room had plumbing problems on the first day we arrived. They said they fixed it so we carried on thinking it was fixed; however, it was not. The tub wouldn't drain, water was bubbling up through both sinks and the toilet almost overflowed. We heard excellent things about the rooftop bar, Luna so we took a chance on Saturday night and had a reservation for five. The bartender was clearly annoyed to wait on us. We tried to chat about the food recommendations however she said she hadn’t eaten there in a long time. Then at 1059 the lights came on and we were told to leave. no request for a last call drink or “we’re closing soon” just on time to get out. During check out, They compensated my valet parking which totaled $80. Needless to say, we won’t go back

Everyone was exceptionally great. The room was an inviting experience. The room and bathroom was fantastic and very clean. The beds were like sleeping on a bed of clouds. I was so impressed with everything that I will come back again and again. I have had a wonderful time with the staff from the afternoon straight up to the time we got back to the hotel. We had a few great laughs with the staff and we enjoyed ourselves immensely. The staff from the afternoon to the evening were awesome. It felt like we were great friends .

The hotel was located in a very convenient location for shopping and restaurants as well as the piers. We could walk to most things we wanted to see and do. The room was clean and comfortable. The look was very modern and fresh. Our room did not have much of a view (facing out the side of the hotel (not toward the harbor or the downtown area). The A/C did not work our first day there. Fortunately it was October but the evening sun did shine in and heat up our room. It was not repaired until our second day. Also, the water and ice machine on our floor did not work the entirety of our stay (3 nights) and had to go to a different floof for that service. The only self parking is a public lot next to the hotel which was a little pricey ($50 per night).

The hotel is beautiful and the location was great. The room was very comfortable and clean. I was bit disappointed with the staff at the rooftop bar. We saw an open spot on the outside corner and asked to be seated there. The hostess told us that they only sit large parties there. So that sat our party of four inside. Ten minutes later they sat three young girls the spot we requested. We had multiple drinks and appetizers, while the girls ordered two drinks between three of them. No other guests joined them. Not happy with this service

Clean, comfortable hotel. Very nice rooms and comfortable beds. Close to many attractions on the Harbour. Had lunch at restaurant. The burger and bacon, egg and cheese were delicious. Would recommend.

Hotel was fine, but very expensive for a room that was nothing exceptional. The bed was way too soft. Bar in main level was great, rooftop bar was cool but was closed one night and the other night it was overcrowded by non-guests so the guests couldn’t even get a table, disappointing!

The staff at the Canopy were amazing. They were very helpful. The rooms we had were large, modern, and very clean. This hotel was very conveniently located to shopping, dining, and other entertainment. Walking to all of these activities was easy from this hotel. I highly recommend this hotel for your stay in Portland.

Kitchen supposedly shut down because of dishwasher issues at 7:30 this morning. Which is one thing but took me several people to clearly explain what was going on. Staff at kitchen seemed like they didn’t give 2 cents about me or the situation. Very unprofessional

All of our staff interactions were par excellence! So friendly, gracious and helpful, from the valets to the front desk and bartenders. The rooms are spacious, pretty, comfortable and well designed with sliding doors to separate the sleeping area from the dressing/shower/ vanity area and thus provide privacy and quiet for couples traveling together. The Luna rooftop lounge is the best in the city—beautiful with a great view. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay!!

The hotel was clean, new and nice. What I cannot understand is how a basic hotel without: an ocean view (we saw a power pole and lines) turndown service, and included breakfast or free parking can charge luxury hotel prices. The cost of $500/night for a $200 room is egregious.

Great hotel in a great location, especially if you are looking for a dog-friendly place. The staff couldn't have been nicer and more accommodating. Not only did we feel welcome, but our dog was given VIP treatment! We'll definitely be back and likely very soon!

Great location and view from the room. The restaurant/bar were not always open when you would want them. The house keeping service did not make it to our room one of the four days we were there so we had to request fresh towels and make the beds ourselves. It’s not a problem but not what you paid for. We also arrived early and asked about early check in and were told that it would be possible but we ended getting into our room after the standard 3pm check in time. If you do not offer early check in just tell us so we don’t wait around for something that isn’t going to happen.
