About this house rental
Welcome to our vacation rental located on a quiet street just above the town of Gardiner, MT. Featuring stunning views of Yellowstone, the chance for wildlife to walk right below your deck, a large kitchen and a cozy spot to lay your head after a long day of exploring and/or recreating. Our home is located 1/2 mile from the north entrance to Yellowstone where the natural world is your oyster.
First and foremost, this home feels like a home. We have an open floor plan downstairs for easy chatting while making dinner and/or sitting on the couches. The bedrooms are cozy and you have the ability to do your laundry in our space as well. Come stay with us and see what you think!
Please note there are stairs required to access the home and the master bedroom. If stairs are a concern please reach out to us and we can give more specifics about access.
We do want to note that we are animal lovers through and through! While our furniture, linens and other household textiles are new, we have had animals living with us in this home during the off season. If you have concerns about an environment that dogs and cats have lived in, please contact us to discuss the particulars.

This cabin was better than described! Great views and we loved having happy hour on the deck and seeing elk out front in the mornings. It is close to restaurants but out of the traffic. It was very well stocked, even had bear spray to borrow. Super close to the park entrance. Would definitely stay here again!

Great location- close to town but yes secluded. We saw elk walking by the deck each night. The house is cozy with everything you need as a great base camp for a Yellowstone adventure. The property manager was very helpful and available by text for any questions we may have had.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the house. It was ideally located for trips into Yellowstone, specifically the northern half of the park. Additionally, we did a day trip to Bozeman, which was an easy hour drive.
The town of Gardiner had plenty of restaurant options, a grocery store, shopping and fuel.
The house was well appointed and very clean. The deck offered an excellent place for eating, grilling and spotting wildlife (we saw elk right off the deck and across the street).
The host was very attentive, responsive and even informed us of a place to listen to live music in Gardiner.

We stayed at this house our last few days of vacation. Beautiful house, close to town. We saw lots of mule deer and Elk which was awesome. It’s was a great place to spend our last moments before heading home.

The house is a great place to base your stay visiting Yellowstone or the general area around Gardiner. We loved the house. The listing is accurate and the house does have a flight of steps to get to the main living area. It’s not a problem and we loved being higher up to see the park from the house. It also gave a great vantage for the Hells a Roarin horse drive.

This spring we spent long days in the park and it was nice to come back to such a clean, peaceful place. Dorothy has thought of everything from making sure we had bear spray to welcoming us with a note and muffins upon our arrival. With an upstairs suite and a downstairs living area, we had ample room. We have been to Yellowstone many times and this was one of the best places we have stayed. Looking forward to coming back soon.

This place lists A/C but there is no A/C in the living room. We were there during the summer when temperatures went up to 85 degrees. We had to sleep with a small fan that was provided. When we tried to reach out to the owners, no response back. Would definitely suggest looking elsewhere.

What can I say about this VRBO? It was amazing! Incredible view of the mountains, comfortable accommodations, well-stocked kitchen, elk outside every morning and just a 5 minute drive to the North Yellowstone entrance. It was the perfect home base. The town of Gardiner is very welcoming and quaint. Gardiner Market had everything we needed to cook during our stay. We also checked out Wonderland Cafe which was recommended by the hosts and it was spectacular! Would definitely stau here again!

The listing was accurate, and the house was very nice, but the host was the real star! We had to make some changes in our travel plans due to a family emergency and Jess was great to work with. She went way beyond what we expected to give us options and meet our needs.

House was in a great location to town and the views were amazing. Every morning and evening we saw elk grazing on the property. One afternoon we came back to house and there was a young elk resting in the entryway. Mama must have left him/her there where it was safe to go eat. So…. We left and came back later. Lol. Restaurants had great food. We had our first elk meatloaf. Tasted good.

We loved, loved, loved staying at this house! It was comfortable and inviting, and it had everything we needed for an enjoyable stay. We woke up each morning to watch the neighborhood elk grazing on the hillside as the sunrise lit up the contours of the incredible landscape. The town of Gardiner is fun and interesting to explore, and the house is minutes from the entrance to Yellowstone. We are extremely happy about our stay!

We absolutely loved this house. The views were spectacular, the accommodations comfortable, and Jess did an excellent job communicating and making us feel welcome. I enjoyed sitting on the deck in the mornings and watching mama and baby elks walk right by the house. The only downside was the wifi is slow, but I have a feeling that is the case everywhere in Gardiner. There were a lot of activities to keep us busy. Plenty of puzzles, games, and books in the upstairs loft. As VRBO houses go, I felt like this one had a lot more charm than most and felt more like a home than a rental property. It was just what we were hoping for.

First time to Yellowstone and it was amazing!! This place has fantastic views!! We loved to sit on the porch at night, have some wine and gaze at the stars in the clear skies:) girls loved having their own space..plenty of room!! Beds were super comfortable!! Had some problems with the internet when we got there but Vicki was right on having someone come out and fix it and offered another place for the night. We didn’t want to move but the offer was so nice:) Yellowstone pizza was so yummy we had it twice;) overall it was a great vacation! Would highly recommend this place😊

This was the perfect spot to stay for easy access into Yellowstone's northern entrance! If you are looking for a peaceful place for your family to stay with views of Yellowstone, this is it. There's also a gas station just down the street and a market for any last minute things you need to buy for meals. I also appreciated that the laundry detergent was unscented as my family has fragrance sensitivities. (Dishwasher detergent is scented however, so bring your own if that is an issue.) The home had cozy living areas, great books on the region and books, games and puzzles if you're there for awhile and want some downtime indoors. Plus, an awesome wrap-around deck area to relax on. We would definitely stay here again!

We have rented out over a dozen VRBO at various places, and this location is one of our top for sure. You will be amazed of how much room it has. The pictures do not do justice on that...a lot of room. They have a bunch of kitchen ware so you do not need to bring any. Also, we made the misstake of buying a cooler on our way there. They have a cooler there to use. The location is super close to the Yellowstone entrance. We spent 14 hours a day in the park, so we did not really get a chance to use their big deck for chill'n-out/relaxing while enjoying the stunning views. The two beds are VERY comfortable. The owners did not go cheap on anything at the house. There are very few rentals that will have this much room, so close to Yellowstone entrance, and at a very good price point then this location...not to mention you will be entering the northern entrance of Yellowstone and everyone knows that the northern side of Yellowstone (Blacktailed Plateau, Lamar Valley, Tower Falls) has the most animals to see. 54 bears is what we end up seeing there. Perfection
This is a great vacation rental! The views are much better than are shown in the pictures. The house is less than 5 minutes from the entrance to Yellowstone. The house is very comfortable and has everything you need to enjoy your visit. Gardiner is a cute little town with fun restaurants. We didn't want to leave and we're hoping to come back.

Cabin near North entrance to Yellowstone
This is an really outstanding cabin near the North entrance to Yellowstone. The cabin sits on a hillside above Gardiner, MT and has been attractively renovated. The owners provided many thoughtful extras (backpack for hikes, towels for soaking in a hot springs, sun tan lotion, guidebooks to Yellowstone, etc.) and everything in the cabin was in perfect working order. We didn't use the outside deck due to the temperatures during our visit but it should be a great place to relax after a day spent in the park. Definitely worth a visit.
