Our cottage, Crystal Cove, provides you and your family the opportunity to visit and enjoy the beautiful Bay Beach just steps away from the house. Crystal Cove is a breathtaking 3 story open concept home with 3 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. We are so excited to give others the opportunity to stay in our beach home!

1) our beach house is closed to water and lake. There are bugs including mosquitos, spiders and others and there will be more for after a rainfall. They are attracted to any form of lights at sunset and evenings. If the lights are kept on closed proximity to any entrance door, they will go inside the house and stay on the lights/ceilings/walls. We cannot guarantee that the doorways /decks will be free of these bugs despite our best effort to clean them regularly. It is part of waterfront cottage life.
2) there are 2 outdoor cameras on the property: a ring video door bell at the front entrance door and a side door camera on the driveway side. They are for security purposes and safety.
3) We try our best to provide the amenities at the beach house. However, like the weather and at your own home, appliances may malfunction and things can stop working. If this happens, we will work with you to resolve the situation as quickly as possible so your vacation will be least interrupted.

Beautiful location steps from lake Erie.
We traveled with our family which included 2 kids and the house worked out great. The beach was a hit!
Just be aware you need to bring your own bedding and towels.

This home was the perfect stay for a lovely beach vacation! It was directly across from the most wonderful, sandy, clear beach. It had all of the necessities and amenities needed to enjoy our stay-a paddle board, beach chairs and toys, a wonderful deck for outdoor dining, and comfy beds at the end of the day. We thouroughly enjoyed our time at this home and in the CBTYC community! We can't wait to come back again!

My family & I stayed at crystal cove cottage while visiting Canada to see Niagara Falls. It was perfect! Being steps away from the lake beach & also the pool, tennis courts, fields ect. PRIME LOCATION! FAMILY FRIENDLY! It was walking distance from just about all bar/restaurants right there at Crystal beach (Fort Erie) & only 20 minute ride to the falls.
Crystal cove cottage accomidated my family perfectly

Great property in a fantastic location. We had a few unexpected hiccups but John was easy to communicate with and took care of each issue. Would definitely look to book again, thank you.

We stay at a lot of short term rentals and John's one of the neatest places we've stayed. The community is private, gated, quiet, and very well manicured. The house is spacious, bright, sunny, and literally steps from the beach. We also enjoyed the pool and a couple of neat restaurants just outside the gates. Contrary to a previous reviewer, we found the neighbours to be lovely. We try to be nondescript guests, but the permanent residents were kind and chatty with us by the pool - and by the end of the week I knew many of their names and vice versa.
You will want to bring all your own linens, blankets, towels, and pillows -- but the house has everything else you could possibly need right down to pool noodles. It also has a washer and dryer which many short terms places are seemingly not offering as much -- so we appreciated that amenity especially.
We spent each morning drinking our coffee on the covered porch over-looking the water, but there is also a large deck off the back of the house where I did my yoga on the sun-baked wood.
The beach is hard to beat: soft sand and clear, warm water. Also, because the beach is private and not crowded, there's plenty of space to set up your camp. You can also access the public beach by walking down the shore, and that's a fun place to check out on a beach walk.
John was a great communicator and checked in with us the night we arrived; other than that, I just touched base with him when we left. Overall, I'd described the community and home as private club living with a laid-back beach vibe. Five stars.

We loved the proximity to the beach and updated kitchen. We weren't aware that there would not be any towels, but made due with our beach towels. It had most things we needed but could use a couple more kitchen utensils such as measuring cups and spatula's.

We really enjoyed our stay at Crystal Cove. We were in regular communication with the owner prior to arrival. Upon arrival, the house was clean and ready for us (we are pretty picky about a clean house). Within an hour, we were greeted by the property manager who was so helpful, explaining all we needed to know. The photos and description of the house are accurate. It is in a great location, close to the beach with beautiful views. For you coffee drinkers, in addition to the Nespresso machine, they also have a traditional 10 cup coffee maker. Our experience was different than prior reviews with regard to the neighborhood. Everyone in the community was very nice and friendly. We had no issues feeling unwelcome. All in all, we had a great vacation!

Our Stay
The location of the house is great, very close to the beach. The community itself is beautiful and quiet, however the regulars are not fond of renters and made it very clear to us that we were not welcome. It was discouraging and made us feel terrible. The house is outdated, needs updating and deep cleaning and for what your paying, you would expect things to be working consistently and door handles not to be falling off.

Great location, nice owners
I’ll start by saying that the location of this beach cottage is great — it is literally a few steps from Lake Erie and sandy beach, and not too far from the community’s nice salt water pool. The home is pretty well kept, though there were some issues:
(1) The owner had us pay outside Vrbo for extra cleaning fees that were not listed on the property listing, which we felt obligated to pay for fear that the cleaning person would take the hit. We’re not sure what the extra cleaning $$ was supposed to cover, b/c the home was not super clean upon arrival. The bedsheets on a few beds (linens weren’t even supposed to be there) had hairs and dead spiders. The home had many cobwebs on every floor, which we were having to use our time to vacuum (with kids underfoot).
(3) There were mice droppings inside the kitchen cabinets. Every dish we tried to use from the cabinets needed to be cleaned before using because they were sticky, had dried food on them, etc. (not to mention the mice issue).
(4) Our first afternoon there, we followed instructions given to us by the owner to “please rinse off sand outside using either the hose or the outdoor shower.” We did this using the outside shower, and it ended up flooding the inside of the home’s basement, where part of our family was staying. All of our items sitting on the floor, like suitcases and kids toys/clothes, got soaked with drainage water. Upon calling the owners, one of them said, “Well, not many people even use the outdoor shower!” …like it was our fault. We were following written instructions. 3-hr cleanup + lots of laundry time in a home we’d just arrived in. Couldn’t use the outdoor shower the rest of our trip.
(5) Quick note that this property is not little-kid friendly; glass top tables and breakable decorations need to be watch and moved.
(6) There is only one fob given — this fob not only lets you into the community, but also lets you in *and OUT* of the pool area. So if you have friends or family staying with you, you must plan to have people shuttling the fob to people who need it, to either go shopping, get in and out of the pool, etc.
Location, again, is wonderful and we could tell the owners try hard to keep the home up. Knowing all we know now, we would stay again.

Wonderful Vacation House
Our whole family (ages 5 through 65) thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Crystal Cove Cottage. The house is well-equipped, and nested in a quiet, friendly, and beautiful gated neighborhood. It’s steps away from the serene Crystal Beach, and they provide all the gear and toys for a fun day at the beach. We sat at the front porch to watch the waves, and we enjoyed the spacious back deck at night. Just minutes of walk away are some great restaurants and ice cream shops. Last but not lease, owner John cares very much about how our vacation was going, and made sure we had what we needed for a good stay. This is truly a gem. Thank you, Nguyen family for sharing your lovely property.

Perfect Location - Beautiful Sunsets
The Beach house was located close to the private beach and could see the water from the front desk. Also, pool and tennis court was well maintained. John the owner was always available and ensured we had all of the information we required for our stay.
