Beautifully positioned on the southern shore of Norris Lake, this waterfront home provides gorgeous views, incredible sunsets, and direct access to a deep year-round channel from its large dock. It's a home that brings bright, contemporary style to one of the most classic settings in Tennessee.
The house is a showcase of its surroundings, with multiple levels of outdoor space that overlook the lake. There's a sunny deck with both bar and lounge seating, and a second shaded deck below. A staircase leads down to a firepit encircled by Adirondack chairs, a cornhole set, and another deck with a fleet of loungers and a lakefront dining area. One more flight of steps leads down to the dock, where you can set sail, launch a kayak, or dangle your feet in the water.
As for the house itself, it's open, polished, and modern, with cathedral ceilings and rear walls of glass that frame spectacular lakefront views at sunset. The main living area features chic, neutral decor, a flatscreen TV that can be seen from the kitchen and dining room, and a two-sided gas fireplace that warms the deck as well. The kitchen is a study in style, offering stainless steel appliances, bold fixtures and finishes, and such culinary bonuses as a pot-filler and a prep island with bar seats for five. There's ample seating around the farm-style dining room table as well.
After preparing dinner on the gas grill, you can retreat to the upstairs loft for a game of Ping-Pong or relax in the TV room in the company of a coffee and wine bar. When it's time for some shut-eye, you'll find the primary bedroom suite on the main level with the other three bedrooms - including one with built-in bunks - downstairs. Additional amenities include a designated laundry room, central air conditioning, and free WiFi.

The views were peaceful and relaxing. Of course, we were there in the fall...can't do alot of anything on the water.....but it was a nice getaway, if you are looking for a quiet home for family get togethers or a place for your friends to feel comfortable around the firepit.

We stayed for four nights. The house was beautiful and very clean. We certainly got our exercise going up and down all the steps to the dock, but it was worth the effort. Appreciated having use of the paddle board and kayak. Beautiful property.

Pros-the inside of the house was nice, boat dock was great to have, and the lake view was amazing. If there is an issue, the property manager was amazing!
Cons-the wifi or even cell service is next to nothing, which also means there is limited tv/streaming. The deck attached to the house was real dirty. Couldn’t sit on the cushions-they were so dirty. There is also not an ice maker in the house-just ice trays.

I went for a relaxing trip with my best friend. It was wonderful. So relaxing. There is a coffee pot and 2 keurigs even though I was told none there. Only one life jacket, 1 kayak with paddle and a paddle board with no paddle. Still a wonderful place just wish I had brought my life jacket with me. Great access to the lake

Great property, updated, clean. Very remote, little boat traffic and no vehicle traffic. Home has all you need, bring you, family and food needs. Roomy and Great Lake views. Only negative is no cell service, buffering tv and only texting as communication. If you need to work, you will need to venture back to town area.

If you plan on staying at this property there are some things you should keep
in mind. The wifi does not work well at all, so this will prevent you from getting any work done while at the house. The dock is very unsafe, is it halfway in the water and the floating portion is not stable whatsoever. I was told that the dock keepers would be by to look at it and they never showed up. I contacted management before arriving to ask if they could leave the outdoor fireplace on and they replied with yes. However the fireplace was turned off and could not be turned on for use. Before arriving management said that the downstairs shower door was broken and that was someone would be there to repair it, which they did come but the up stairs masters bedroom shower did not drain either. This left us with only one shower for a couple of
days. I reached out to management with these problems during our stay and never heard back until we had left and I sent another message. I usually would not have an issue with these types of things, but if you look back at previous reviews these are all issues that clearly have never been addressed.

The views and sunsets from the deck were amazing. We have been renting on Norris for about 10 plus years and have stayed at various places around the lake. This is truly probably one of the best parts of Norris. Minimal boat traffic during the week. Some wake since being on the main channel but not too bad. The house was very nice and clean. However, on our first day, we noticed that the boat dock was not safe at all (main walkway only being held by one bolt and the swim/sun platform only attached on one end), 2 out of the 3 showers would not drain and ice maker wasn't working. We called Vacasa and they said they would send someone out to check. A maintenance person fixed the shower drains but said the ice maker was not even hooked up to make ice. I am not sure how you rent a house on a lake with no ice. Then we asked about the dock, and he said another person handles the dock. Needless to say, a huge storm came thru that night and disconnected the walkway from the shore thus dragging the main dock (with our boat and jet skis attached). Luckly, the walkway got caught on a huge rock and stopped from moving any further but walkway not in working condition. Called Vacasa again and stressed the safety of the dock. Finally got to talk to a General Manager from Vacasa and said it would be fixed as soon as possible. Next day nothing fixed. Called Vacasa again and tried to talk to a Supervisor and was put on hold for 20 minutes then disconnected. The dock got fixed later on that day but then another storm came thru on Wednesday leaving the walkway to the dock with only one bolt again. Thus, the dock not safe especially with younger children. Pretty much gave up with Vacasa. They told us that a supervisor would contact us which never happened. Very disappointing.
Hopefully, the owners will look into the dock issues because it needs some major attention.

The pictures they show are spot on. The home is beautiful and well appointed. Unfortunately, the pier to the dock was broken, the cable system that stands in for rails on the deck are out a or coming loose, and cleaning and general maintenance issues were a problem. Would’ve overlooked the smaller things if they ever responded to the big issues. A high price to get a private dock that is unusable and NO help or response when we contacted them and even sent pictures. And not even a partial refund!! Could be a great place under different management

Tranquil, peaceful setting down a somewhat terrifying road to get to the property. Many small things were either broken or didn’t work well. Master shower didn’t drain, rendering that shower useless after one shower. Downstairs shower door didn’t close so the floor would get soaked when taking a shower. When we arrived the outdoor trash cans were completely full from the previous guests, so the first evening we just set our kitchen trash out on the driveway. Varmints got into the trash overnight and made a mess for us to clean up the next morning. The trash cans never got emptied during the time we were there, so each evening we had to drive our trash down to the marina and throw it in a dumpster - about a 20 minute round trip process. There is absolutely zero cell service at the house, so calling the management company to get anything fixed was impossible from the house. Wi-fi was spotty at best - you could maybe get the weather forecast to load on your phone but that’s about it. Definitely not a place to count on being able to communicate with home or your office. Maybe that’s not a bad thing? The lake was beautiful, warm, clear, and not particularly crowded. The nearest marina, Hickory Star, is small and kind of dumpy by comparison to other marinas on the lake. Friendly folks, but very little in the way of provisions if you forgot anything. The several terraces of the deck were nice with beautiful views of the lake. The pier leading to the dock was broken and barely holding on to the shoreline. We had to use some large rocks upon arrival to help secure it, though this was a temporary fix at best. Several of the steel wire cables that were tastefully used for railing along the stairway and and the deck edges were broken. They should have been easily fixable but had yet to be, potentially making a safety issue.
Overall the house was very esthetically pleasing, but it’s very obvious nobody really looks too carefully after the property other than a quick cleaning before the next guests arrive. It really is a beautiful setting with nice decor, but attention to detail was certainly lacking. For $4100 for four nights, I expected more.

The property was beautiful and clean. We got there a week before the fire was suppose to be turned on but we had a cold morning so we called and they were very accommodating. They have every kitchen appliance you would need to make it feel like home. They even have a coffee frothier in the drawer which sold us! My only complaint with this house is we had two small children and the railings are very unsafe! The wires had come loose on the upstairs balcony and the top deck. We were constantly on guard making sure they didn’t get to close. Other than that issue this property is definitely a 5 ⭐️. We would consider staying again.

We found the property exactly as described and depicted in the photos. We weren’t quite ready for all the stairs down to the lake but learned to navigate them quickly. We had great fun at the fire pit which we used twice. No bugs !!! One of us used the kayak and we fished off the dock. Did I mention no bugs !!! We rented a boat one day at a local marina and cruised down the lake all the way to the dam. Large screen televisions in every room we’re nice amenities. Did I mention no bugs ! Cookware and dining needs were top notch.

Very relaxing, beautiful home. All the amenities you need. Very clean. Our family of 11 had plenty of room. We rented a boat and enjoyed the lake. When we weren’t out on the lake we just enjoyed the home. The kids swam off the dock and used the kayak and paddle board provided. We had a fire every night and spent time as a family. A vacation you will never forget.

This house has beautiful views of norris lake. Overall, we enjoyed our stay. However, it was not the cleanest upon arrival both inside and out. The fire pit was full of empty beer cans. The cable railing for the stairs inside was loose/broken in numerous areas and outside as well. The biggest issue was the dock. It’s pretty old, many pieces were falling off with some exposed metal and nails. The bridge to the dock is broken and a portion of it was underwater. One bolt has already broken and then other one is very close..then it will no longer be attached to the dock. The dock itself is not really secured to the shore as it should be. The gear/crank for the support cable is stripped and doesn’t work. Anyways, we were expecting a bit more for the price. The floor plan of the house is great, the views are great, and it’s on a great place on the lake but don’t plan to book again.

Other than those reasons listed, the house and property is clean and comfy. Beautiful scenery too. It's a place to go if you want to escape the craziness that's going on in this world.

Very slow internet, and even poorer cell service (Verizon), so remote working may be hampered. The house is obviously electronically sophisticated, but there was no "House Welcome Packet" providing instructions on all of the cool tech niceties: thermostat, room wall heating units, multi-zone speaker system, upstairs main gas/remote-controlled fireplace, downstairs decorative fireplace, wall-mounted i-Pad non-functional, etc. The main fireplace - a big attraction - didn't work for 3 days due to lack of propane, but maintenance replaced tank, so that shouldn't be a future problem. Obvious remodel shortcuts may be problematic later (e.g. fireplace facade obviously installed after insert, and the screens/windows cannot be removed for access - even by the maintenance person! Lava rocks and glass wool not even installed on exterior side of fireplace. Lower bathroom glass shower door mis-installed; hard to open/close. Individual room heaters not intuitive to operate, and largely unusable.)

My friends and I had the most wonderful time on this beautiful piece of lakefront property! The home was clean, warm and inviting. There was plenty of room in the main areas to gather and move around to change the scenery and vibes. Lots of seating outside and inside. Absolutely Gorgeous - Restful and Peaceful
My friends and I had the most wonderful time on this beautiful piece of lakefront property! The home was clean, warm and inviting. There was plenty of room in the main areas to gather and move around to change the scenery and vibes. Lots of seating outside and inside. Our only complaints are the small bedrooms (hard to move around with a suitcase in there), slow drains, lack of supplies (bring extra TP, dish wash, paper towel and coffee!) and weak wifi. It would have been nice to have a binder with instructions on how to utilize some of the amenities such as the speakers outside and to know what checkout guidelines were. Those are all so minor compared to how wonderful this place is especially for the price. We would come back!!!

Lakin' it easy is a beautiful place to stay. Private, quiet, and you can watch the beautiful sunsets from the decks or dock. Lots of stairs to the dock but they have it layed out nicely in sections. Located very close to Hickory Star Marina made it easy for boat rental. The folks at the Marina were great and super friendly.. Had a couple of issues come up at the home. The owners and Vacasa were quick to respond and pleasant to work with. We would stay again, had an awesome week!

The house is very stylish yet exudes a homey ambiance! A house with incredible view! This is a place to go for when you need to relax yet wanting tons of activities for your family! Adult and kids alike will enjoy all the activities this lake house offers!!! It’s like staying on a 5-star hotel! The house smells fresh and very clean! It offers top notch quality of furnishings snd amenities!!
