About this house rental
Whether you’re visiting St. Charles for business, your favorite Lindenwood student, or one of St. Charles’ major festivals, this charming, 2-bedroom rental provides a centrally located homebase with everything you need. Main Street and the University are both less than 5 minutes away by car; the airport is 15 minutes.
If business brings you here, there’s ultra-fast fiber internet—also good for streaming if you’re leaving work behind!
LIVING SPACES
Don’t be fooled by the home’s cozy appearance—its floor plan is actually quite spacious! It includes two living spaces (one on each floor) with comfy sofas, flat-screen TVs, and warm hardwood floors. Between your St. Charles adventures, take some time for naps, movie nights, good books and conversations.
COOKING & DINING
The roomy kitchen features all major appliances (including a dishwasher and a gas stove) and well-stocked cabinets. A center island with barstool seating provides a great spot for morning coffees or pre-game hors d'oeuvres.
An adjacent dining table features bench and chair seating for 6 people.
SLEEPING SPACES & BATHROOMS
This home has two bedrooms, both upstairs, with a queen bed in one and a full bed in the other. Sloped ceilings and hardwood floors add to the cottage-like feel of the space. The full bath (downstairs) features a tub/shower combo and plenty of space for your toiletries on the shelves and bowl-sink vanity.
Have extra guests? The sofa in the main floor living area turns into a queen-size bed to comfortably sleep two more.
Central A/C cools the space, with additional window units in the upstairs bedrooms to keep the temps extra crisp for a sound night’s sleep.
Uber/Lyft is likely your best bet for transportation if you're not driving yourself. If you are, there is sufficient on-street parking in the front of the house.
I live in the area and, depending on my work schedule, I can be at the property to help as needed. Overall, though, my style is to leave you in peace and let you enjoy your trip!
St. Charles is a historic, riverfront town, and its downtown core and Main Street play the part beautifully, with tree-lined cobblestone streets, local shops, cozy cafes, and other treasures. Missouri’s iconic rail-trail, the Katy Trail, runs along the riverfront for cycling, jogging and walking. All of this is a quick 5-minute drive from the house; it’s also walkable if you enjoy a longer stroll. Lindenwood University is nearby, as well.
Many guests come to St. Charles for their yearly festivals on the riverfront, which span the seasons and include Oktoberfest, a 4th of July festival, the "Festival of the Little Hills" and a large "Christmas Traditions" festival.
Uber/Lyft are likely your best bet in terms of travel. There are a few restaurants and coffee shops in walking distance, but most locations are a very short Uber/Lyft ride away.
A washer and dryer are accessible through a cellar door that pulls up from the floor of the sunroom/utility room. This door is moderately heavy, though not unmanageable. Contact me before booking if you need access to the laundry but don’t feel comfortable lifting a somewhat heavy door out of the floor!

nice smaller house in quiet neighborhood. worked great for me and my family. would definitely stay here again if we are ever back in area.

The house was ok. Floors and stairs were very loud and squeaky so anyone getting up in the middle of the night to use the ONE bathroom would wake others up. Missing some basic amenities like coffe (had a keurig but no pods offered....had to make special run to get coffee the night we arrived), ,kleenex, bathroom spray (no fan available due to age of home). Also the dishwasher was left with the clean dishes in it. We didnt realize that until the day we left so we just dealt with having what we thiught was just 2 coffee cups and shared them. Found more though on last day in that dishwasher! Also the couches are not suitable for sleeping for adults. The beds were nice however. Lastly, the blankets available were horrible, as if taken from a hospital. They were white and very rough. Bring your own blankets. Ih, and the ottoman downstairs is stained with something on it. I did share most of this with owner in personal message and got no response at all. I also had to request the code to the door at chec in time because he had not sent it. Will not be staying again.

Great area and great home for a 1 week visit.

Other than only having 1 bathroom(knew this at booking), House was the perfect size to accommodate our family of 5. It’s definitely an older home (creaky stairs) but the updates that have been done and the decor make it feel very cozy.
The owner was quick to respond and the check-in process was super easy.
Would definitely recommend this location, as it is accessible to everything, and the neighborhood was calm/quiet.

No trip is a 100% perfect. Yet the hosts of this accommodation were amazing. The house is charming, roomy yet cozy. I love to cooking in the kitchen. I'm crashing in front of the tv.

We stayed here while visiting my brother and his family to celebrate my Nieces graduation. It was in a great location and we even got to shop a little in St. Charles town. Great place to stay!

Great house and easy walking distance to all sorts of great places. Quick and easy comms with the owner. As other reviews note, there is one bathroom downstairs and both bedrooms are upstairs so that layout won’t work for everyone - but it was excellent for our visit.

A nice, clean place to stay when visiting St. Charles. Access was incredibly easy. St. Charles is beautiful during the Christmas season. If you have a problem with stairs, this would not be the place for you.

The house was very clean and the owner responded to all my messages quickly. There is only 1 bathroom that is downstairs and all the bedrooms are upstairs. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay!

We had a wonderful stay at this property. The home is on a quiet street with almost no traffic. The home has been completely refurbished with charming decor. Kitchen and bath were both very well stocked. The host replied immediately to text messages. The home has a ring security system that made us feel very safe, although in this quiet neighborhood there was no reason to worry anyway. The proximity to Main Street was excellent. The backyard has a large grassy area and a firepit. There's also a screened in back porch. Best of all, the home was absolutely immaculate. We'd definitely choose this home again for a future stay.

Very cute house! Owner was easy to work with and communicate with. Within walking distance to lots of cute restaurants and bars.

The property was very nice and well updated inside. Lower level was great! Upper level would have been better with a bathroom. Stairs were difficult for my husband to get to bathroom. Also, I may not have known how to handle the TV, but I couldn’t get any regular channels with regular shows on it. My fault I should’ve probably asked. But we were in and out so much I didn’t get a chance. Otherwise neighborhood was great never saw hardly anybody, and it was quiet at night. Thank you for letting us rent while we were there!

Clean house in a clean neighborhood
Very cute and clean house in a nice quite neighborhood. Not much traffic, nice and quiet. Cant say enough good about the house. The only bad thing is the extremely firm beds upstairs. We ended up folding out the couch bed downstairs and sleeping there. If not for that I would have given it 5 out of 5 stars.

This house is so cute!
We really enjoyed our stay here. The host was always available for questions. The house was clean and decorated so well. I only wish there was a 1/2 bath on the second floor but that can’t be helped. Great place to stay!

Enjoyable stay
My must have for renting a home is that the house is clean and the location is good. This home was both. Brett was great, and not for any issues we could have with the house but just to check in and make sure everything was going well. We would definitely stay here again.
