The land the cabin is on is very beautiful and scenic! Cabin had everything we needed and was very comfortable and clean. The host Veronica was wonderfully helpful and quick to respond. Chalk Bluff was only a 5 minute drive, which was perfect for our trip. Would definitely recommend staying!

We had an amazing stay! The cabin was perfect and so nice! Even nicer than the pictures suggested. The water came up a little while we were there with the rain so that was neat. The location to Chalk Bluff and 19 mile crossing can’t be beat. We will definitely be returning!

Property was very nice, a bit bummed the river was so low. We were able to drive to 19 mile crossing which was under 5 minutes away.

We had a great time. Exploring the Nueces River, bird watching, star watching, and being with friends and family were unsurpassed.
The Bunkhouse worked very well for cooking, eating, and playing games. We decided to have only 4 people sleeping inside, as the bunk area is a little tight.
The casita and double-swing were wonderful, with a view of the River and the Chalk Cliffs.
We greatly appreciated the solitude--no traffic sounds, airports, or neighbors. This feeling was amplified by the encompassing serenity of the Eclipse, when all sounds stop and a sunset completely surrounded us.

Booked this beautiful “casita” as a last minute getaway for the 4th of July. Kids had a blast running around on the huge open acreage and swimming in crystal clear water of the Nueces River. We also spent one day at the recommended “19 mile crossing” which is minutes away. Owners were very helpful and responsive throughout the booking process. I would definitely recommend and we can’t wait to go back.

Over all very satisfied with our stay. Very clean home that was very stocked with everything we needed (kitchen utensils, trash bags, pots and pans) for a weekend getaway. The property was clean with enough chairs for the whole family. The water wasn’t very high but it was beautiful. Water was very clean and just high enough for my grandchildren to enjoy themselves.

This was a really nice place. We all had a great time.. The owners were very nice and took care of us. We had a frig issue and they brought us another one... The grounds were great, the river was beautiful. The kids had a blast. The big kids too.. The one thing i didn't expect was the deck over looking the river (I assumed it was attached to the cabin by the look of the picture).. It was still really relaxing to sit out there enjoying the sounds of the river and sites.. Either way, I have to admit its still a great place to enjoy with family. We definitely want to come here again..

Beautiful Property and Views
Property was beautiful, secluded, and the cabin was clean and spacious enough for our family of 9. We enjoyed swimming in the river, cooking hamburgers on the deck, and roasting marshmallows on the fire pit. The cabin was equipped with everything we needed like toiletries and cookware. The location is 5 minutes from Chalk Bluff Park and about 20 minutes from the Upper Dam in CampWood and we enjoyed both. Will definitely recommend this ranch to people and hope to book here again.
