When I was messaged by the “owner” Vacasa a few days ahead of arrival telling me that someone was coming to look at the lower floor HVAC I made a strategic mistake by not asking why. The reason was that the heat on that floor did not work at all. We arrived Thursday afternoon, by Friday it was cold in our apartment. I messaged the contact for the owner who said she would contact “the teal”. After several further messages from me, all with the same reply.
By Saturday morning I was wearing my coat inside. I contacted VRBO. After several discussions I was issued a case number. Over the next 24 hours VRBO was also not able to get any reply from the owner. Writing this review was my only recourse. I would think twice about renting from this (corporate) owner.
We were a multi generational group. There are two levels to this rental. The first floor has a living/dining/kitchenette, bath and bedroom. My husband and I stayed there. Even though the kitchenette included a fridge, stove, sink and microwave, there was not one fish, one glass, one pot of one piece of silverware. We borrowed things from upstairs.
Our daughter and family on the second floor had a spacious kitchen/living/dining room. Still, only one glass upstairs. They liked the space but said most of the living room furniture was uncomfortable. It was clean.
And, the locks… there are key pads on the front dooor, foot between the garage and house and door out from the first floor. Codes are taped to one side of the door.

Very clean. Safe area. Very pleasant experience.

Good location that is close to downtown and the airport. House was clean and the beds were comfortable.

Neighborhood feels a little sketchy but once you’re in the house it feels fine. Hot tub is good. Kitchen is 6/10 for supplies. Biggest issue is that there are locks on every door, including bedrooms and bathrooms and it’s possible and likely that you will lock yourself out of the house and not have opening the four codes required to get back in. Or you will close a door that automatically locks and then you will be locked out of a bathroom. Why is this necessary?

Convenient location close to hikes and adventures as well as grocery. Clean and large enough for our group of 5 adults and 3 kids.

Property is clean. Kitchen is nice and open and had all utensils and pots pans needed. Bathroom in king bed room was updated. The king bed mattress is uneven. The other two bathrooms were dated but functional. Plenty of hot water!!!! And pressure!! The tv room wasn’t comfortable but can be seen from the kitchen and dining area. Overall house is spacious and meets your needs.

We had the pleasure of stopping in Alaska last week and enjoying another delightful stay at #FalkeInn. Falke always exceeds our expectations. The home is lovely and well positioned and comfortable in Anchorage. The home is spacious and the beds are perfect after long days of adventuring. It was a memorable experience. We will be back.

We enjoyed the location, brightness of the home with large windows facing south, and the layout. We had plenty of room in the common area with the kitchen and living room. The hot tub was nice, as well as separate towels to use for this. The dishwasher was broken. We would have liked to have some common kitchen items to assist with cooking / baking. Would suggest measuring cups, measuring spoons, plastic spoons / flipper for the non-stick cookware (which were very nice), and baking dishes such as a 9 x 13" pan. The common area was a bit chilly and we used the warm throws that were provided. Nice coffee maker and regular coffee was provided. There was basic spices and olive oil available. If you use the fireplace, you will need to purchase your own wood. The TV did not work while we were there. We kept getting an error message when we turned it on. We are not TV watchers, but there was one ballgame that I wanted to see. Communication was lacking. We tried multiple times to reach someone at Vacasa and VRBO, no one responded until the night before we left when we called. Emails and Instant Messenger did not work. The person we spoke with was going to follow up with us that same evening, but we never heard back. Vacasa responded to us three days after we checked out.

We throughly enjoyed the beautiful home. The home was clean and comfortable. We loved the fireplace and hot tub. The garage was definitely a plus since it was cold and snowy. We would definitely stay again.

We had an absolute amazing time while visiting Alaska. The house suited our needs perfectly. We had a couple different issues while we were there. The day we arrived. There was 8 to 10 garbage bags in the garage, where it was obvious the cleaners had cleaned out the house getting prepared for us, but did not throw the trash away or even put it in the trashcan. I notified the property management company right away and they told me they would come the next day to remove the trash. That did not happen during our retire stay. It was not a huge deal because the trash was in the garage, but just noting that did happen. Also, the garage door code they gave us did not work. well it actually worked but it was dead bolted so we are not able to get in. I asked them for the garage door code instead of the side door, garage code, and the code they gave me did not work. Not a huge deal because we were able to use the code to the other door and get in and out each day. Lastly, all the doors to the bedrooms and bathrooms automatically locked behind you if you shut them. We were never provided with the codes to those doors so I had to reach out to the property management company to get the codes to the door. I eventually got the codes about six hours later. Good news is we were out and about enjoying ourselves, so it was not huge issue We did not get it right away. Other than those minor issues the place was great and we really enjoyed our time.

Falke Inn was most comfortable in every way. It had all the amenities and comforts of home. When I go back to Alaska I hope to stay here again.

Adorable little place, full sized hot tub, and very cozy touches. Could use a big comfy couch upstairs.

The place was good but the dishwasher was not working. Great for families.

Overall this was a great experience but communication with Vacasa is not easy. The bedrooms had large heavy quilts and we wanted some lighter blankets but couldn't get any. My communication felt like I was talking to an AI Bot. I just kept being told that is what comes with the property. However, that was the only complaint that we had. The house is very spacious and accommodating. The hot tub is a real great addition in Anchorage. The kitchen is well stocked with utensils. The ice delivery on the refrigerator didn't work.

The place was as expected! It’s a big space, could use some more furniture as it felt a little empty, but overall it was a nice space and worked well for our group of 6. Laundry was great to have and we had everything we needed! Basement bed not so comfy, but everything else was great!!

This home was so beautiful and big. It was just the right amount of space to host our family during their week stay. Cleanliness, great location to shopping centers, Highway, food… you name it! I 10/10 recommend.

We had the pleasure of visiting Falke-Inn this spring and again in the fall. The stay did not disappointment. It was great to use the fireplace on the rainy days this time around, and of course the hot tub. The patio lights provide such a nice ambiance.
This will definitely be our go-to stay in Anchorage - our new home away from home.

Beautiful home, very spacious, updated and clean. Would definitely stay again.

Comfortable! Easy checkin and lots of parking. With the open floor plan, we didn’t feel crammed with our large group. Everything was spotless clean, lots of space, and well stocked with towels, pillows - you name it.
Great place to rest and recharge for us after long days of Alaskan adventure.
We used the hot tub and fireplace every night we stayed and put to use the TWO sets of washer/dryer.
If we have the opportunity, we will definitely be back.

Falken inn provided us with a comfortable and contemporary home setting during our stay in anchorage. We enjoyed day hikes and drives to the mountains, and the comfort of the hot tub and fireplace in the evening. Clean, quiet, and comfortable.

Beds were not the most comfortable and the full bed was not good for two adults. Also, just one tv was a little strange. However, it was clean, well equipped in the kitchen and spacious.

What a great place to stay in Anchorage! We had plenty of room for our family in this open style, beautiful, and peaceful home. We loved that it was very clean, kitchen well laid out, and stocked with everything we needed. It is located close to shopping centers, highways, and getting to downtown attractions. We loved all the games and had a blast playing them with our grandkids. Although we didn’t get to use it this visit, having the hot tub was another plus. Really glad that this beautiful home is available as a vacation rental. We would love to come back and enjoy another great vacation in this beautiful home!!!

What an amazing place to stay - our big family felt so welcomed in this grand, yet peaceful home. The inside was exceptionally clean. Everything was exactly as described in the listing - the kitchen was well equipped, even though we ate out most days. The beds were so comfortable and the hosts made sure we had everything we need.
Great location - close to highways, easy access to downtown and shopping centers. Hot tub and fire in the evenings were perfect ways to relax and recharge after enjoying our long days of Alaskan adventures. Also much appreciated on the rainy days + our kiddos loved playing the house games during down time. Thanks for that extra touch!
Thanks again for offering your beautiful home as a vacation rental. We can’t wait to come back.

Thank you for a pleasant experience and positive vibes. The stay exceeded expectation - super clean, spacious, and comfy! The “Falcon/ Falke-Inn” theme is unique. All of the sleeping accommodations really worked for our big crew. Convenient location. The steam shower heads and hot tub were my favorite - hands down! This was our first getaway in a while and it felt just like a home away from home. Thanks for sharing your space. If you’re looking for a warm, inviting place to stay in Anchorage, the only reason not to stay HERE is the disappointment you experience when it’s time to leave. There’s nothing I would have changed.

This place is HUGE and the hot tub was great after an entire day of activities.
We will look for this place again next time we stay in Anchorage.

This house was large and clean. The customer service was superior. We had everything we needed.

This home was perfect for our family of 5 (including our 2 kids and my mother) to all have plenty of space and privacy with 3 bedrooms and 3 full bathrooms. We loved the open airy sun-filled kitchen with tons of windows and the cozy sunroom. The hot tub was so nice to relax in every night after hiking and exploring.
The home was spotlessly clean and we appreciated the native Alaskan themed decor. The house was equipped with everything we needed, including extras you don’t always find in a rental like toiletries, Splenda, spices, olive oil, and laundry detergent. The washer and dryer were appreciated too since we needed to do laundry mid-way through our trip. We loved being able to cook meals at home and watch Netflix on the TV. The kids had fun playing the games provided.
The house is conveniently located just 10 minutes from grocery stores and restaurants, 10 minutes to downtown, and 20 minutes to so many beautiful areas to hike and explore. Highly recommend Eagle River Nature Center for beautiful views and hiking, Alaska Native Cultural Center to learn about native culture, and Flattop Trail for scenic views. This is a great home base to explore Anchorage and the surrounding areas. We wish we were staying longer!

Very clean, airy space at this bnb. Hot tub was temperamental but the space was what we were looking for.

Nest & Rest
Falke-Inn was a perfect place for my family to nest and rest. This home is conventionally located: approximate 20 minute drive from the airport, grocers and gas station less than 10 minute drive, the highway leading to Alaskan-adventures just a few turns and you’re there! The weather was great during our stay and this meant outside walks or adventures on foot - neighbors were polite, quiet, and extremely kind.
When we weren’t out adventuring, we enjoyed the hot tub in the evenings. We are looking forward to annually returning and hope to come back in the Winter months to use the fireplace!
