This centrally-located, three-story home is an entertainment paradise with enough room to spread out between the main house and a bonus guest suite above the garage. The finished basement has been transformed into a one-stop activity hub with a home theater space, exercise area, and elaborate game room with arcade games and bumper pool and billiards tables.
While you're outside soaking in the private hot tub taking in the serene wooded area, it's hard to believe that you're still close to town with various dining options and only one mile from the nearest beach. The spacious tiered decks provide an ideal space to host a cookout with the gas grill or just bring your already-prepared meal to the outdoor table for an alfresco dining experience when the weather is warm. There's plenty of room for helpers as you prepare your family's favorite meal in the open, full kitchen equipped with a four-seater breakfast bar. Other dining options include the kitchen and dining room tables, as well as a breakfast nook. The adjacent guest suite is also self-sufficient, with a kitchen of its own.
In addition, the guest apartment has a bedroom, full bathroom, sitting and dining areas, and one of the property's two gas fireplaces. The main house has a ground-floor bedroom and there is a primary bedroom upstairs, which offers an en suite bathroom with a huge walk-in shower and separate jetted bathtub. The property is equipped with five, individual mini-split AC units throughout the main house and guest suite.

We wanted to get our busy family together for the Fourth of July holiday, and this house suited our needs perfectly. Ogunquit is one of our favorite places to visit. This house gave us easy access to all the spots in town, while, at the same time affording us a quiet and very private place to reconnect. The grandkids loved the game room, and the size of the house gave them great opportunities to play and explore. The house had everything we could have asked for. The beds are extremely comfortable, and the bathrooms were excellent.

I would give an A plus rating to the location, the kitchen and the showers. My guests also thought the beds were comfortable. The bedroom separation is very good for a group of friends or for a two family vacation.
The decor and furnishings were not up to the price being charged nor was the cleanliness of the area around the hottub. (Plus the lower step to the hottub is precarious.) The house rugs need cleaning as do the windows. The skulls, candles and dead terrariums are bizarre focal points. And the furniture and lighting (or lack thereof) need a person with vision to critique and execute a do-over.
A garage is a garage. I get that. But when the guests are led through it for house access and the separate apartment access, I would expect it to be neat and clean. It is not.
There are several TVs with multiple remotes..none of which we could get to work. I understand that sadly there is no cable, but we couldn’t even get live (current as opposed to shows that were live hours before) network TV. I would strongly recommend that each TV have directions next to it telling the guests how to work them. We ultimately had to get a Vacasa rep to make a visit on this issue.
To recap, if the rest of the house/garage/lower outside area were up to the standard of the excellent kitchen, the location, the setting and the A+++ showers, this property would have been worth the price and would have received an excellent rating.

Great place to stay in Ogunquit

This house is great for those who need some space. There is plenty of room for different activities (movie downstairs, game table on the main floor, hangout on the back patio) all while people are able to rest upstairs with no noise at all. Comfy beds, quality linens, and quiet wooded atmosphere. Only drawback was that the kitchen was poorly stocked, so if you're planning to cook your own meals you'll need to plan ahead!

It was roomy with the amenities you would expect in a large home. We couldn't get the teenagers (or many of the adults) out of the basement with the game room, workout space, and home theater.
The sun room off the kitchen and cookout area has the most comfortable chairs to curl up in and read. Our family was constantly vying to get one of them.
The three full refrigerators with freezers were wonderful for storing all our food and keeping our beverages cold.
The kitchen was large with plenty of space to sit, and the laundry room was in constant use.
If you bring bikes, you can get into town quickly and avoid the road congestion that seems ever present.
The area over the garage affords privacy (and a bathroom of ones own), but you will be going up stairs to get there.

River House was beautiful, and the location was perfect There was plenty of space, and we were comfortable. This place totally worked, but just a few things would take it from nice and adequate to outstanding. Solid 8 out of 10, we would stay there again.

House is exactly as described. Clean and ready to go. Everyone had their own space, and the porch and kitchen are awesome meeting spots. Towels and all paper goods were supplied, including all cleaning materials (and laundry).
Quiet street, and beautiful, peaceful back yard with a river!!
The kitchen was stocked! You will not want for anything in this home. Internet worked throughout the entire house. The game room was a huge hit, almost could not get everyone to go the beach!
We will be back! Thank you so much for having us.
