Surrounded by a redwood forest, this cabin doesn't get a lot of sunshine. The drive to it was very beautiful in May. Wildflowers everywhere until you get to the cabin. The cabin itself was fairly nice with an updated kitchen that had everything we needed and more, including food in the fridge. Hmm? Ours or theirs? The main bathroom was also updated and nice. The one thing you cannot see from the pictures is the condition of the 4th bedroom, which we labeled the art room. With many supplies in the room and paint on the floor it was obviously an artists studio that they crammed 3 beds in, which was great for my big family. Unfortunately, some of the art on the walls was occultist and just inappropriate for a rental. I had written that my grandchildren were coming but they saw fit to leave the nude painting on the wall. Lots of personal belongings left in this room and around the living room. Not a big deal until we packed up and had to ask, who's is this? Ours or theirs? It was a great location for visiting Mendocino and Ft. Bragg. We had a nice time there. The hot tub was wonderful with a nice forest view.

The property is beautiful! The house is very secluded and the space inside is homey. Felt very comfortable and we had lots of fun playing games and enjoying each other's company.

The house is amazing! Surrounded by redwoods and close to the coast, what more could you ask for?
4.9
Very clean, comfortable beds, lots of everything in the kitchen. The hot tub was greatly enjoyed too. It felt like visiting part of my family's home. Not too upscale and very well lived in. Easy drive to the beaches and Mendocino to check out art.

Very accommodating and secluded. The kids enjoyed the fire pit and exploring outside. The inside was large enough with plenty of beds, blankets and other linens. There are tons of games, puzzles, etc and the kitchen is well-equipped for making larger family meals. The house itself has a very odd smell, it could just be age or the wood burning stove that is inside. We got used to it after a few hours. Bring some air fresheners or scented candles with you. Over all very comfortable and plenty of ways to stay entertained.

Very comfortable for our group of 6. Big fully equipped kitchen. Plenty of sleeping space. Beautiful location with short ride to town or coast.

Our group had a great time here! You’re definitely in the woods, with a bit of a drive to destinations in Anderson Valley, but not totally in the middle of nowhere and close to spots along the coast. The kitchen is well equipped and the outdoor spaces are great — especially if you have nice weather. The fast internet was a big plus, and communication was great.

Everything you need cool little place in the woods and great communication with owner with questions and changes.

This house is as described. My family had a wonderful time in the large home and surrounding woods. Very peaceful and private 3 miles from beach.

The cabin was fine. There were a lot of cobwebs and unfortunately the carpet in the main downstairs smelled like urine, but for the price it worked really well for us. It was nice and cool and in a pretty area. Our host was great.

Relaxing retreat in the redwoods
We enjoyed the nearby coastal trails, Navarro River Fern Canyon, and Mendocino. Then we returned to enjoy a relaxing hot tub at the end of each day while looking out at the surrounding redwoods. This was a lovely relaxing place to stay.
