Come and stay with your family and friends in this beautiful beach-themed vacation home under new ownership. The house is set along the Back Bay and has immense natural beauty. Situated within walking distance of the beach, you'll feel the sunshine on your face while using the beach access points, which are easily found and marked by signs.

Enjoy watching the spectacular sunset views over the magnificent Back Bay from the upper deck, hot tub, or on the dock. Plenty of seating is available when taking in the breathtaking views. Rinse off in the outdoor hot/cold shower after spending the day at the beach or swimming in the fenced private pool, equipped with a cabana bar and more seating. A full-size refrigerator, mini-fridge, propane BBQ grill, sink, and outdoor TV are all included to help you enjoy your vacation.

Back Bay Dog (formerly known as '4 the 9') offers guests a comfortable beach paradise experience. Among the amenities are a private sauna in the sunroom, seating in the dining area for 15, leather chair comfort in the living area, and a 55-inch TV for viewing from anywhere in the great room.

The downstairs of the house hosts the laundry area. All bedrooms come equipped with cable TV. Other perks include a dock for crabbing and fishing and WiFi.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

We had 6 adults and 6 kids. The location of the house was great and perfect size for all of us. The pool was highly used and the dock for fishing was a big hit. There is NO treadmill at this property we were never told this before arrival. The deck and the property had us pulling lots of splinters from tiny feet all week. Suggest you wear shoes on the deck at all times there are also nails popping up everywhere. We had a shower head that trickled water out so only 2 showers were best to use. Our main issue was the sunroom AC unit did not work at all we messaged and told them immediately on Sunday morning. Nobody came to look until Tuesday and they said a new unit would be installed on Wednesday and that never happened and we did not receive and type of communication on this at all. I followed up numerous times because this room was completely unusable the entire week it was so hot. Frustrated by the lack of response and communication from anyone. The owner declined any type of refund for this unusable room and false advertising of the missing treadmill that would have been highly used by our family. We would not return to this home for lack of the home owner not fixing the AC for us and still charging us full rental. They seem to only be in it for the money and not putting back into the house or creating relationships with those traveling so they want to come back year over year. Sandbridge VA location was great and highly recommend traveling to this town.

Our group of 7 just spent the week here. It was the perfect size and we all had our own spaces, though the layout is a bit odd. The house was clean and the kitchen had everything you could think of to cook for a group. Loved the beautiful pool and pool area. Also spent a lot of time fishing from the dock. A great location! A short and easy walk to the shore. Our group agreed that we would definitely stay here again.

It was a great experience with amazing views and beach access. We wanted to celebrate Christmas away from home. So this location was almost equal driving distance for all parties as we had family from the north and south stay. Great memories!! We will definitely be utilizing VACAS from now on.

The space perfectly accommodated our wide range of guests from kiddos to grandparents. Everything worked as described. The location was super convenient to the beach and the interstate for a day trip to colonial Williamsburg. We heartily recommend this property.

Wow, this home was such a delight for our ladies’ reunion/getaway weekend! Hot tub and pool were meticulously maintained, and kitchen came fully stocked with all the cookware and space we needed to enjoy group dinners and drinks. No matter the time of day or night, and regardless of the weather, we enjoyed beautiful views of the bay and surrounding nature. Check in/out was a breeze, and staff members were helpful in confirming check in time, in light of weather concerns. Also loved the 🇺🇸 touch! Thank you for blessing us with this chance to relax!

We loved everything about the house ! The huge kitchen , the great room , the decks and of course the wonderful pool ! The area was gorgeous , fishing from the dock was a blast ! I would highly recommend a stay at the Back Dog Bay rental unit to anyone traveling to Sandbridge Va . Plus the people at Vacasa were wonderful responding to any issues we had were met with immediate action ! Great stay , thank you Vacasa !!

We had 14 adults and went to the beach everyday. Would highly recommend renting a golf cart to go to the beach....we used ours alot! The house has a unique layout, tough to share bathrooms but not awful. We loved the pool and bar area with the grill and outdoor fridge. We spent a lot of time there. We would sit on the top back porch every morning to look at the bay. Wish there were kayaks there to use... overall a nice vacation rental.

This house was spacious, met our needs and was a good value for the price we paid to rent for the week. We appreciated the bay location, pool and hot tub. One drawback was the filthy moldy shower curtains. We reported that upon our arrival however, they never were replaced. One improvement to be made would be to weed whack an area for loading kayaks into and out of the water as the dock is a bit high. We noticed the price went up considerably for the coming year and would not rent at the increased price.

Overall decent property however our stay was not without incident, and unfortunately, dealing with Vacasa has soured our experience. Among other issues (black mold on shower curtain - they brought us a new one several days later, smoking INSIDE a non-smoking property as evidenced by the smell, ashes and ashtray, general lack of cleanliness) this property was advertised (and still appears online this way as of July 2022) as having a rooftop deck. This was the deciding factor when we selected a property. Arrived at the property to find the steps removed from the rooftop deck. I assume there is/was a safety concern but no one notified us beforehand. We contacted Vacasa during our stay to find out why we weren't informed and what kind of credit we could expect since the rooftop view is listed as a selling point and was now inaccessible. Got the run around from them from the start. Oh yeah, and a $.95 credit to our card. Typo by the peson that processed it, I suppose, but even $95 is a joke when we paid $7k for the week and the property isn't as advertised - including a non-functioning sauna also advertised.

I wouldn’t want to stay much longer than a week but overall, it was a nice place. Layout is great, views of the bay are wonderful, place was tidy. There were definitely some parts that could have used more cleaning. Our shower liner was moldy. Not just a little, but filled with mold all along the bottom. The window sills had dead bugs on them. The pool was very clean and pleasant. I love that it’s truly private pool. The outside of the house.. well that’s where more cleaning should be invested. It so badly needs a power wash. There are bugs and spiders EVERYWHERE. We couldn’t even enjoy the deck and use the sliding doors because they were infested with bugs and spiders. A power wash would go a long way.. Just sitting in the hot tub (which is nice) I was distracted by the amount of spider webs and large spiders hanging over our heads. Like I said before, the place was overall nice and had nice furniture and was fairly clean. I would stay again if those few things could get cleaned. I almost went out and bought a new shower curtain liner..

Saturday the 1st, the day after Ian, brought us a beautiful sunset! Sitting in the hot tub and looking at the beautiful sunset was amazing. The house had everything we could want or need for kitchen equipment,laundry,and comfort.
