A historic building with huge rooms, perfect for hosting a get together with friends. The pizza oven and bar make all the difference. The host was very responsive to answer questions and make recommendations.

The view was very relaxing since it was an open space and felt tranquil, with not too much or too little to take in. The vibe of the house was very cosy, ideal for a weekend getaway! The rooms were spacious and the extras that came with them made it feel like a luxury home.
Everything was well organised and tidy, but the only thing to change would have been the taps (toilet and bathroom sinks). The way they were designed made the water spill out everywhere, including our clothes and the floor.

An amazing property with everything you could wish for in terms of space and amenities. The house is decorated and furnished to a high standard throughout, and the rooms are all spacious and well-appointed. It was all spotlessly clean too. The view is also fantastic. You are a hot tub and a bit of lawned area away from perfection! We used the house as a base for tackling Helvellyn, and it is a bit of a drive (but we knew this - and the same standard of accommodation anywhere more central would definitely have cost 2 or 3 times as much). We will definitely be back in the future and would recommend this place to anybody who is looking for high-end accommodation and exceptional value for money. A very nice welcome package of wine, bread, milk, butter, tea and biscuits was also much appreciated.
There was nothing not to like! The aforementioned hot-tub (not to everybody'd taste I admit!) and a bit of grass in the huge outside area - perhaps an outdoor bbq too.... all would be cherries on the icing of an already delicious cake!

Location was perfect and secluded. Child friendly and the house itself was enormous and spacious. Very well equipped and perfect for staying in if the weather turns!
The only suggestion I would recommend is having a bigger shoe rack!

A very spacious house with a great outdoor seating area. The living area is more than big enough for everyone to sit down for dinner or separately on the sofas. The pub fittings such as the bar make it feel special. The 4 bedrooms are all very big with decent bathrooms for each. A great garden space in front of the house as well. 20 minutes walk to the beach or to Millom centre with a good selection for dinner. Everything was contactless so very smooth.
Kitchen is well equipped but a few items missing and the cooker very slow. Location great for the beach and small walks which we wanted but a bit of a drive to get any further into the Lakes.
