Nothing all ok

The room was very welcoming

Rooms were good sized, very clean and aired, attractive and comfortable. Very useful having a bar and cafe downstairs and being so near the venues our Norman Nicholson Festival events were being held (and noise didn’t carry!)
For reasonably inexpensive accommodation, all pretty good but a few more hooks/ towel rial in bathroom would be useful plus my entry door was a bit rattle - might need adjustment to stop banging .

Overall, I was quite impressed with the Hotel, it's facilities and the rooms were spotless and well laid out - tea & coffee was plentiful and the room was quite large. Also, there was good soundproofing from downstairs which was a great plus. Shower was also excellent.
The only grumble I had was the heating wasn't switched on before I arrived in the Hotel, the room was freezing cold on arrival and the only source of heat is a wall mounted electric heater - it was a cold evening and it took ages to get warm. The other confusing part is that although it is advertised as a B&B - they don't do any kind of breakfast, which I thought was a bit odd, Maybe next time?

No breakfast or food available
The lack of food . The pub stopped serving food Sunday afternoon and there was no option to get a breakfast

Very noisy the windows let alot of sound through...

Center of town. Very short walking distance to groceries, shops, and take aways. Easy car park. Both restaurant and pub on the ground floor (family friendly). Recently remodeled rooms/hallways. Free WiFi for guests.
No breakfast, but early morning bakery across the street, Nisa co-op around the corner, and Tesco one block away.

unprofessional rude staff
7.0
The staff were friendly and the room was spacious & clean. The location was within very short driving distance to where I was visiting. There was a desk fan provided which was handy to have on when it was warm during the day. There was the option of one main light in the centre of the room, or two individual smaller lights on each side of the bed. The room itself and bathroom were both clean. The pressure and temperature of the water in the shower were easy to adjust.
I would have liked to be able to close both of the windows in the room as there was quite a bit of noise outside (typical Friday/Saturday night) but I was only able to close the left one as the right one had no handle, so I could still hear it through the other side. Earplugs don't really fit me so I couldn't get to sleep until early morning despite the he'd being comfortable. There had been a wedding using thr function room downstairs and some of the late arriving guests were quite noisy; there were no "do not disturb" signs to hang on the door and I didn't fancy confronting them as really it shouldn't need to be said.
The bottom of the shower seemed to take a while to drain away too but it never overflowed so maybe it's just a bit slow?
Personal preference on this but I thought the shower towel was a little on the small side.

The room was very expensive with no breakfast. Disappointed with price and breakfast not available until 10am to book

The breakfast could have been laid on earlier, it was too late for me and what I came to Millom to do - visit my friend in the local prison.

it was recently refurbished
there was no kitchen to use for residents and I was travelling for work for three days so that's one of the reasons I booked it. the towels provided smelt dreadful, the bed was really uncomfortable, there were hairs from the previous occupier everywhere

This hotel was as advertised, the check in staff were more than helpful giving us a side entrance to use for later on as we had a small child with us. The room was big enough with everything we needed.
There were no bad issues about it at all. There is some food places right outside and around the corner. Just 1 Chinese place which was quite a long wait but nothing to moan about!

not sure to be honest
no curtains , doors banging all night ,not very clean , told the room was soundproofed and it’s not ,
