Cute renovated motel in Auburn

This is a cute old motel that's been renovated in a fun, retro way. The beds are SUPER comfy, and it was very clean and quiet. Rooms have fridge and microwave. They have a discount agreement with a bowling place nearby for a meal, which we didn't take advantage of. The service was very nice - we had to stay at the last minute because Donner Pass was closed in a big storm. We booked at 9:30 PM and arrived at 10 PM. Tons of other people had the same idea, so the place was packed - but they helped everyone and were really nice and attentive. We'd return.

The rooms are small. That's the one slight challenge.

Great location with a fair price. Facility is new and the Manager is great!

Close to the highway, clean and new rooms.

Room could be a little bit bigger. But for the purpose we had (to sleep while the I80 was closed), it was great.

Excellent & easy.

Quiet, coming from Reno to the Bay Area during the evening, was a perfect place to rest during for the night. Super quiet the night we stayed. We’ve stayed here 3 different times (kids sports tourney, pass road closures), just a convenient and easy ( and quiet) locale.

When I mention how small this room was, too small. The guy said that I could pay $50 more to move?

This hotel doesn't offer any breakfast for their guests?

The queen size room was very small, and it made the large screen TV appear to be up in face while laying in the bed. I'm glad I was only in this hotel for 2 nights, or I would have moved either to larger room, or a different hotel. This hotel had less than 10 people staying at this motel, so they could have been a bit more accommodating as this was my second time staying there, but it will most likely be my last time too.

Excellent staff. Room temperature hard to regulate

The manager was excellent and very helpful

I could not get room temperature adjusted at night when temperature dropped. I had to get a space heater which the manager was kind enough to provide

it was a nice room to have for thr night after a wedding

it was good for the night. comfy bed and pillows. shower was awesome. love the 50s vibe

had a strong smell. not bad, just a strong smell that was overwhelming

A real clean lighted place, very comfortable beds with 4 pillows and they leave the lights on for you

Not what you would expect at a “motel”, great room value, exceptional cleanliness, a very pleasant surprise

This comfortable, design-forward motel is a delightful step beyond the basic!

Loved the design touches a lot! Comfy beds. Big TV. Quiet. Fast internet. The pint glasses and coffee mugs were a great touch. AC worked great.

Staff messaged "Ok" when I thanked them. Pool and ice machine were far from the room. Low water pressure in the shower. Faucet water was warm or hot, no cold.

Cute little hidden gem

This is a super cute, newly remodeled motel, right off the freeway. Very quiet. Super comfortable beds. It's VERY clean. There's a fridge and microwave, plus blackout blinds for sleeping in. Good location, too. We also loved that we could park right in front of our room.

Wish they served breakfast. Water pressure wasn't the best.

Location and your understanding of our very very late arrival at 2AM --- Your manager on site was quick and efficient. The room was great and much nicer than we thought. We have been to this motel years and years ago. Great job on the remodel. Loved the room, tiny but clean and comfy.

The little fridge makes noise through out the night. I'll bring ear plugs next time. Our incredibly inconsiderate noisy neighbors.... They came outside at 6am for goodness, smoked and hacked up a lung NUMEROUS times all morning. Very loud and noisy.. And then he threw all his nasty butts all over the ground outside.. Sad..

I’m a repeat Foothills traveler & will continue to be so!

The beds are a dream! so comfortable. I’m a finicky sleeper so this says a lot! The rooms are immaculate too.

I’ve stayed here twice & twice the Keurig did not function.

Property management is awesome!! Is clampers really appropriate the hospitality. Like you know we will be back next year for bean feed

retro furnishings mixed with modern; good tv channel selection; pillows; shampoo soap and conditioner

no instructions for running things, no phone to front desk, terrible draft, shower water not hot enough, rough towels, could not figure out how to change shower sprayer, no bathroom cups, mini split took a long time to figure out the basics-always too hot or to cold

The stay served our purpose of a nice place to sleep and the location was perfect for our needs.

The beds were very comfortable allowing us a wonderful sleep. The shower was very nice.

The rooms were pretty tight.
