We were quite pleased! We were on our honeymoon and The Hythe definitely met our expectations! We loved the daily hot chocolate and s’mores bar, added a bit of fun. The location is perfect, short walk to town and the bus service is awesome which brings you right from Lionshead to Vail Square. It was an amazing trip and we plan to come on our anniversary!

Nice room at a fair price.

This hotel was spectacular. We mentioned it was our anniversary and they gifted us with drink vouchers and macarons. They’ve thought of everything. The property is worth the splurge. You can park in the public parking for less $ than the valet if needed.

Maintenance issues with first room but they were able to move us. Get's noisy at night - lots of events and noise going late into the night was not really ideal for those that would like to go to sleep by midnight.

it’s definitely not a luxury property

Amazing place, since the lobby the person who took care of us was really nice and help us in every way she could. 100 points in everything.
Smoores and cheese of curtesy in the afternoon. Beautiful place to stay.

Beautiful space but not you need to pay for valet parking at $60 for one day

The arrival and check in was GREAT. The valet and front desk were wonderful. The room cleaning was really slow (3:40pm cleaning one day) which made for post skiing showers and getting ready for dinner difficult. My wife is a Titanium level Bonvoy traveler and we weren't allowed a very late check out (12:30) the day of departure which was difficult as we had two rooms and four guests. Also, the server in the breakfast area was amazing and I unfortunately forgot her name. She was maybe late 20's, black hair, tall and attractive. She went way above and beyond to service our table for breakfast every morning.

Good hotel with good & friendly hotel’s staffs, but the SKI CADDY IS A RACIST. He gives a vibe that if you are NOT EUROPEAN BLOODLINE; DO NOT DO SKIING. It’s NOT your sport. The service is VERY BAD! They will NOT BRING the ski back to the hotel.

Nice property and great staff. Room was too small.

Front desk staff were helpful integrating our nonrefundable hotels.com reservation the first night with additional nights at a lower rate on the Marriott app. They were good about offering to refund our dinner charge after they told us one of our rooms was ready, but upon arrival, we found it unprepared. They then issued us nonfunctional keys. Revel restaurant was typical apres ski type food, but the service was horrible. The breakfast buffet was convenient, but the booth cushions are filthy. As far as ski rental and proximity to the ski area, both are excellent.

Fireplace was broken, reserved a deluxe king room with a pullout Couch… wasn’t available when I arrived.

Stayed here several times when it was a Marriott. Recently, they remodeled, changed the name, and increased the price. Nice place, but it’s still just a Marriott. I’d stay here again but it is very overpriced for what you get.

This property was absolutely beautiful! The amenities were great, the location was great, and it was extremely walkable to get to Lionshead village and surrounding areas. Vail village was a very short shuttle ride, the shuttle comes right to the front of the hotel! Guest services were excellent, I would definitely stay here again

October month is not best because of all the construction. Lot of the stores are closed due to being off season.
No free parking next to property. Valet parking will cost you $60 a day.
Property is clean. Nice view from room.

Unprofessional and bad customer service

The hotel was very nice, maybe a little too nice for us. If you’re prepared for the $50 a day resort fee, the $60 a day parking and the higher priced dining and drinks in the hotel. It’s very high end. There were events every day we were there, so we did not get to experience the s’mores in the patio. There’s complimentary coffee every morning but they also have a coffee shop with good coffee. The pool and hot tub looked very nice and clean and it was never over crowded with people. We paid in advance through Expedia and when we checked in the receptionist tried to charge my card for the entire cost of the stay without telling me what she was charging to my card. Other than that, the room was great, clean and stocked with shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lotion, toothpaste, qtips, water and coffee. There’s a fridge but no microwave. The cleaners came in and tidied our room when we were out and about, and there was no issue with check out. Overall a good experience and great room, just prepare for luxury prices.

When we checked in they didn’t tell us us that the A/C wasn’t working in our wing of the hotel. We didn’t realize it was out until later, when the engineer told us it had been out for several days. They finally changed us to another pair of rooms (we originally had a 2 bedroom suite). The man at the front desk told me his manager authorized a significant reduction in the rate. When we went to check out, they tried to charge the full rack rate for the 2 new rooms. When I complained to the manager that morning she told me that there had been no notes about the new rate, and it took her about 3 hours, having to call multiple people to clear the problem. It is beyond comprehension that a major corporation like Marriott can’t have systems in place to train employees to adequately manage their luxury hotels.
