Tired room that needs a refresh. Walls are somewhat thin. Pillows are awful because they're just air. Bed was ok. Shower was warm and had good pressure, but the head would only point out of the bathtub, which drenched the floor in water. Overall ok, but really needs an update.

Excellent location and a great bar area. The hotel will recommend parking nearby if you send them an email. One suggestion was free on the weekends but a 20 minute walk away. Otherwise there is a garage a block away but it’s about 35€ per day and busy on a Saturday.

The hotel was easy to get to on the free public transport from the airport, and ideally located for the centre of the city. We had breakfast which was extensive, all the staff were very helpful. I would stay again and recommend.

Helpful desk clerk gave great tips about local attractions. No air conditioning, but staff gave us electric fans and that helped. Best breakfast buffet in elegant dining room. Easy walking distance to bus. Superb location in upper town.

Hotel staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was lovely, good selection. Location was fantastic for the old town. I loved the art deco style in the hotel and our room with the balcony and lovely view (room 551). Also appreciated the provision of slipper and dressing gowns and tea/ coffee, although there was no black tea options or milks provided (I would have asked if I needed but we didn't end up needing to). Some might find the decor in need of updating, and agree that it may need a refresh but for me it added to the charm. The hotel does seem to be updating some rooms as floor 4 looked refurbished. I would hope the refurbished rooms still retain the art deco character. The lounge and dining areas and old lift were beautiful. Would definitely stay again if revisiting Luxembourg.

Luxembourg is an amazing place. One day wasn’t enough. The hotel was close to everything and with free public transport close by , everywhere is in reach. The staff are helpful and the breakfast delicious.

Hotel is ideally placed for walking around the city. Eateries nearby, plus cathedral and viewpoint. Room was comfortable. No air conditioning, so had to open the windows. Mattress slightly softer than I prefer. Bathroom was huge. Shower curtain could do with being longer given its fixed position and the shower being in the middle of the bath’s length. Main issue for us was that there is NO parking for high vehicles nearby. Everything is under ground and 2 metres and under. Our options were carrying our luggage for 15 or 18 minutes or getting park and ride. Not the hotel’s fault, and they communicated well with us on it. But one for potential visitors to be aware of if you’re in a van, camper van or with a roof box.

Perfect location for exploring the Old Town area. Close to restaurants, shops and plazas. City i fo is nearby. Everything was clean even though it is an old and historic hotel. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Bed was comfortable even though room does not have a/c. Bath is modern but I had a problem with water leaking around the shower… bad design. I’d stay here again if I come back!

Lovely classic European hotel in the heart of Luxembourg city. You can’t get a better location. Gorgeous views out over the city and close to major attractions and dining options. Breakfast was excellent and the servers very hospitable. Bed on the firm side. Only complaint was the old-fashioned key to the door that I struggled to use to get into the room. The locks could be upgraded without reducing the rest of the charm of the place.

Hotel was very central and the reception staff were friendly. Bedroom had no natural daylight, kettle lid broken and carpet was a little worse for wear. Breakfast choice was OK but short staffed. Had to ask twice for a tea refill. Overall thoroughly enjoyed by short break to Luxembourg.

Room was lovely with a cute balcony and all amenities you’d want. Bathroom dated with shower in bath. The massive downside was the awful staff member who checked me in who was incredibly rude. They also take a €250 deposit even for a 1 night stay

The Grand Hotel Cravat is a lovely hotel in a great location. It feels a bit dated, but that adds to the charm of it. The front desk staff was extremely helpful during the stay: securing a taxi for me at 3:30am and having a to-go bag of breakfast items packed since I had to miss the breakfast buffet. The room was spacious and clean. The breakfast buffet was delicious. My only complaint was the room heat/air was difficult to figure out and a ceiling or table fan would have been nice to help circulate the air. Overall, I definately recommend this hotel.

Great breakfast and friendly staff. The lobby and hallways are nicely decorated. The hotel has an older style and has furniture from another era. If you are looking for an elegant atmosphere, different from modern hotels, while still being comfortable, this hotel won’t disappoint. I recommend to book a city view room. There was a fresh apple for every guest in the room every day. I had an issue with the room that I was checked in and although I had to ask for it to be looked into, staff were very accommodating and resolved the issue. The location is excellent for sightseeing and enjoying the city.
