good breakfast, comfy beds! I was able to check in super early which made arriving from a redeye flight so much better
4.1
Parking can be difficult
4.1
Okay service and cleanness. But overall impression is a tacky and worn Down hotel without any facilities at all. Parking only possible far away. Breakfast very, very simple.
4.1
The Book Store Bar next to this location was extremely fun every evening.
4.1
Loved the location. Continental Breakfast was nice.

I hated all the stairs to access the property. There were 4 at the street level to get to the door, then another 8 or so to get to lobby level. Really hard if you have luggage. The staff isnt there to help with luggage although they were polite & friendly. Once you get up to reception there is an elevator for other levels. The breakfast provided was very basic.
For the same money i booked a much nicer hotel up the street - turned my "Fron" upside down.

Really liked the hotel. Customer should know it is in the heart of downtown and very noisy well into the night

We were so grateful for the hotel's offer to store our baggage when we disembarked from a cruise ship early in the morning, so we could enjoy local sightseeing without dragging bags around. Wera was delightful & chatty, as she also did a pre-check-in, while giving us lots of local tips about nearby venues on a map provided by the hotel. Our room 409 was clean & super convenient to lots of venues. The included daily breakfast was more than expected & started each day's exploring on the right foot. We also thoroughly enjoyed the Expedia VIP-bonus of a complimentary drink at the Sky Lounge, which we might have overlooked otherwise.

We checked in July 10 and the receptionist Mina (I think, just can’t remember) was the friendliest, most helpful and most pleasant ever and we’ve been to a lot of different hotels. If everyone was like her, then for sure you’ll have a very nice start of your vacation or stay.

Staff was super helpful with local recommendations!
4.1
Property is not as I expected it to be: Not accessible by car as road is blocked off to auto traffic so not easy to navigate if you are physically challenged. Also, there are steps to get into the property and more steps to get to the elevator to get to reception on the second floor. Breakfast is passable for a budget-conscious traveler. Otherwise, location is excellent.
4.1
Liked fridge in room, ice machine available, breakfast included. Room and bath a little small, but fine.
Staff was helpful. Location was great: on shopping st, near the big church, close to bus stop 6.
4.1
Great shower; friendly & helpful front desk staff; very clean and clean-appearing
4.1
Easy access to the Rainbow road area and all the shops.
4.1
It was a nice hotel but we were on the side with nightclubs and very noisy
4.1
Delightful small hotel right in downtown. Plentiful included breakfast with good variety. Friendly staff.
4.1
Quick easy access to the Rainbow road area. Convenient to go out and shop or experience the area.

Stayed 1 night after finishing our 19-day Iceland ring road trip before a embarking on cruise. Good coomunication. Excellent welcome by reception staff. Stored bags before official check-in. Nice spacious corner room. A little noisy on Saturday nighr but no trouble sleeping. Very good breakfast. Stored bags until departing around 1400 for cruise. Thanks for stay. Especially good work by reception lady.

Great location, very clean, and overall convenient

Excellent location. Two blocks from bus stop #6. Lots of places to eat. Short walk to the main church. I would stay here again.
4.1
Mother daughter trip was super awesome. The staff was always so very friendly and helpful. The rooms were wonderful and very comfortable. Very walkable to see the area as well as mini buses for tours were always available too.
4.1
I stayed at this hotel for one night. It was perfect for the short stay, as the room was clean and the staff were very friendly. I’d stay here again.
4.1
It was definitely ok for our one night stay before we left to go home after our tours. I think the property needs a little TLC as some of the paint and cracking in the bathroom and certain areas could use some touching up. And the wind goes through the cracks in the windows if it’s a really bad windy day. The staff is super friendly and everything else was enjoyable including the breakfast. The night life on the weekend can get a little loud, but I use rain sounds on my phone every night so I didn’t really hear any of the people once I turned it on.
4.1
Staff very helpful and friendly, arrived before room was ready and asked if i could leave bag so i could explore the town. But they gave me another room, my tour the next day was early and they offered to allow me breakfast early so not to miss out.
Location is right on the main shopping street great locations very handy for stop 6.
Even though it has a lift to floors not suitable for some with difficulties as you have 3 large steps to get into building, then a flight before reaching the lift.
Ensuite very tiny but perfect for one person, whole hotel very warm, even with rad off in room and window open it wasvery warm

Excellent place to stay. Very convenient and easy to walk around

Staff was wonderful!
4.1
The property was in a perfect location. It is walkable to everything and every restaurant. The only issue is it can be a bit loud if you keep the window open because the pub next door is open until late. If you keep the window closed then you cannot hear anything outside.

Shopping stores and restaurants are right outside the hotel. The hotel has wonderful staff and free breakfast. Rainbow street is behind the hotel. There are about three steps right outside the door and about another 6 or 7 steps inside to get to the elevator to see the receptionist. It's difficult to carry the luggage up these steps after a long flight. The Viking restaurant is right outside the hotel which is convenient, however, loud music at night that stops around 3am makes it difficult to have a restful night. The room developed a sulfur smell after the 2nd night and worsen the day after. The hotel handle the smell the same day. When we came back from a tour, the smell was gone. The proximity to the shopping and restaurant areas is wonderful! No car needed. Closest bus stop is 6 (3min walking distance) and not 14 as the elevator in the hotel states. I would definitely stay in this hotel again, despite the loud music in the night. Nothing that earplugs cannot solve.

You couldn't ask for a better location if you intend to be on foot or plan to meet up with bus tours (use Bus Stop 6, not 14!!!). If you have a room facing the street, it will be LOUD well into the early morning hours. Also, the windows in my room were incredibly drafty. To the point the curtains were blowing around. The front desk gave me towels to try to block the draft. The breakfast was limited, but good enough to grab a quick coffee and toast before meeting your bus.

Paolo the reception/check in employee was amazing! He made sure we got our room early when we arrived in the morning and offered us breakfast after our long travel day. The rooms are comfortable and clean. Great location to walk all around Reykjavík.
4.1
Great staff and location! Staff helped immediately anytime we asked for any help. Clean room, perfect for our week-long stay. Beautiful dining area and breakfast spread. Only issue was our room was across the street from a bar and the band played nightly from 8-11.

Very good reception people, room small but comfortable

12:32 am Saturday and so noisy outside . The bar opposite our windows
Room - small , hotel must be renovated
Center city
Our previous night was in 4star hotel ( 3 minutes from Hotel Odinsve) was a little bit more expensive than center hotels but quiet . And we could relax after full day traveling
Here it’s impossible
Vip ( I checked they had available rooms, beverages were available in another hotel of their chain
4.1
Expensive hotel with outdated rooms. However: centrally located and friendly staff.
Lot of noise due to the bar next door, noise until 4 a.m. every day. So impossible to sleep.
4.1
A room was available for us at the time of our check in. The cookies in our room
was a really nice gesture for the occasion of our trip. The room is adequate enough for 2 people. The continental breakfast is pretty good especially the pickled fish. Pablo gave us some food recommendations and showed us in the map how to get there. Staff was friendly and accomodating.
4.1
It was the smallest single room I have stayed in on a 4 star hotel.
Very basic breakfast.
Close to shopping an restaurants.
4.1
Safe, convenient, clean.
4.1
The hotel is very central and a great location for a few days in Reykjavik, close to resturants, bus stop and walkable to a few sites such as the church, harpa, etc. The room was a bit small, but was all that i needed for a solo trip.
4.1
the hotel sits at the heart of downtown making it walkable to anywhere downtown. Great stay would do it all over!
4.1
The biggest problem was parking which was street parking only.
