A slightly dated resort compared to its neighbors but fitting of a lower price. We got the suite and it was extremely spacious with our own private balcony. The apartment was updated except for the bathrooms. The private beach and coral reef are unbeatable, but dining options are limited. The resort is very walkable to the public beach with many dining and drinking options. Staff were mostly friendly and helpful!

Stayed here with my best friend! Staff was pleasant and helpful especially Chris the manager!! Easy access to private beach and 10 min walk to Mambo beach restaurants. Would definitely come again.🙏🍾

We really missed the young man that made the smoothies by the pool last August! He was fun and entertaining. If we didnt know from last year, we would have had no idea what the girls were there for. They were doing each others hair and staring at their phones. Great time other than that!

Very nice but too quiet

Excellent staff, helpful. Sea aquarium next door was a great experience

We spent a week with our family. Super friendly and helpful staff. Resort was clean, quiet and safe. Beach and pool access was strictly limited to those staying at the resort. We rented a car, however most of the restaurants we frequented were within walking distance. Kids enjoyed the dolphin encounter right next door. Hope to return again soon!

I liked that this property had its own beach (more like a lagoon). It was close to Mambo Beach which had a few restaurants to dine it and a nice beach for bathing. Additionally, it was 15 drive away from down town and the Sea Aquarium was next to the hotel.

Watch when you book this property. We booked a "suite" but got a hotel room. Based on the photos we chose, we were supposed to get a kitchen, a living room and a large balcony/patio, but we got a plain hotel suite with a TINY balcony. We had to upgrade to get what we had reserved, a bait and switch type situation. With that said, it's a great place to stay with a private beach and security on their own private island. Snorkeling was ok right at the beach. Not a lot of fish, but a lot of different fish to see. We could watch the dolphins in the aquarium next door from our patio, and my wife was happy to see that they let them out to swim freely in the ocean for exercise!!!

Wouldn’t stay here again!! The experience was not as expected and we didn’t feel very welcomed. My sister arrived before me and was asked by security if she “belonged here”. From the start they were slow to respond to email etc. if response received at all. Emails were sent several days in advance regarding transport from the airport and I was celebrating my birthday so I inquired about birthday packages for arrival. Emails were either not answered or very last minute. After several attempts at contacting them to set this up Chris contacted me the day before arrival and stated this is last minute. Provide 2 balloons , some chocolate which was nice however the treatment we received once we arrived was not up to standard. My sis had to call them when she was at the airport were given a room in the back of the hotel which was not fully booked. The customer service was very matter of fact when trying to convey needs etc. Shane the trainee told another employee don’t ask her for help when we asked for information. The staff was very condescending. Which made us not want to voice concerns. The bath tub along with the shower curtain was dirty. We felt like they were prejudice against us. Nyaisa was the only staff that was really genuine with assistance. Chris remarked and questioned if we ever been out the country (US) inferred that island time is different. Meanwhile we are world wide travelers. We had charges that were not accurate upon check out that we had to dispute.

The Royal Sea Aquarium Resort has the best location, beautiful sea aquarium view from our room. Cleaning service was the best. Bedroom, dinning/living area and balcony on the suite apartment are amazing but bathroom and kitchen are outdated. It’s very silent and safe, very close to restaurants and entertainment.
It’s very convenient that they have free transportation to the market and town.

The views were beautiful however the room was not cleaned properly. On the surface it was clean but the bathroom wasn't uo to par. The shower was filthy. The showerhead had dirt and grime stuck to it where the water came out. The tissue was not on a tissue holder. Initially i thought it was an acccident and ignored it hoping one would be privided after housekeeping. But on day 2 or 3 I had to ask for one. Staff is friendly though.

They did an amazing job to make sure our reunion was amazing. I loved our experience !!! 3 times coming to Curcacao... this was the best living arrangement by far.

The Pros: Great location, Private Beach. Quiet location but few minutes walk to Mambo Beach.
Aquarium and Dolphin Academy next door. Watched dolphin show right from huge patio. Beautiful views, nice pools, offers transportation to downtown and supermarket, huge 1 bedroom suite. Felt wecomed. Great staff.
The Cons:
Plumbing is a problem. Slow draining. Beds are very uncomfortable. All three beds were beyond lumpy and hard. The beds hurt our backs and hips. No support in mattresses. Huge roach in kitchen and hallway outside of room on second to last night. After running and screamimg got son to kill roach.
Would like to go back to this location next year but the Huge Roach and beds makes me rethink this.

Stayed in a 1 bedroom suite with 2 other females. VIP access was supposed to give me a bottle of wine (they did) & a free room upgrade when available. (When I asked about this at check in I was told my room was already upgraded, which is BS because that is what I booked & paid for). If you like to explore on vacation, rent a car. If you don't & just want to walk to Mambo beach, you probably don't need one. There is a shopping center there with restaurants & shops.
Pros
Had a view of the aquarium & got to see dolphins every am, suite was clean & spacious, terrace had a table/4 chairs & also 2 loungers, property was clean/well cared for, room had modern furniture/decor, walking distance to Mambo beach, have towels & other beach items that you can check out (ex: snorkels, floaties, etc), outlets are compatible with US plugs, never had issues with noise fr other rooms or bldg nearby with construction
Cons
No bowls, no gym, nearest restaurant (Olas y Copas) took too long even though not busy, parking was across the street (not too far) but a pain when we came back with shopping bags (they do have 10 min temp parking to load/unload & we never had issues finding parking in the lot)

This property is very nice, it’s relaxing and clean. The lagoon is beautiful and good for snorkeling. I wish there were no Construccion machines around. Also they should have a better store in the property and more food options.
The restaurant is good, but the menu needs more variety. The service a the restaurant is was very good
The staff at the hotel was always friendly
The rooms are amazing, very spacious.
We will stay there again.

Needs a better maintenance

The breakfast (I paid to have it included) the options got minimized and you were only allowed one beverage. Whether it was coffee or juice, only one drink. They never come around to see if you wanted anything else whether it was breakfast or dinner. If you wanted another drink. So the only restaurant there was terrible for service. The room itself was great. A/c worked well, but I believe I got reminded 3 times to make sure the kitchen was clean otherwise I would get fined $75US. Although, when I decided to check under the bed to see if I got everything before checking out. There was a full roll of toiletpaper thrown under the one bed and coral pieces under the other bed. The beach was nice, many fish to see. No glass was allowed on the beach but plastic cups weren’t available anywhere. Their trick to get you to go to the restaurant where the service is terrible.

Royal Resort is very nice the property atmosphere is very welcoming with clean rooms.
Please do not take the package deal which includes resort stay with breakfast. The breakfast at the restaurant is horrible and we found human hair in our food 2 times.
