Bathroom had mold in tub the toilet didn’t flush and wasn’t cleaned. Bed had trash underneath the bed. The when time to checkout I was charged twice

What a wonderful stay. Staff is great, a special thanks to Shirley. Pool warm. Enyed the beach from the balcony. Many shops and restaurants in walking distance. The rooms are old but for a budget hotel the best I have ever stay in in the US.

Terrible stay. Broken tub faucet. Broken glass on the balcony. No ice except to purchase at $6 per bag. Staff attitude!!! A mistake trying this hotel a second time. First time not as bad as this.

First time ever that i had a room where the shower didn't work. No room cleaning service. Initially gave me a room 2 levels DOWN STAIRS, NO ELEVATOR. At 83 years old i knew I'd have a problem getting a 50 lb suitcase back up when checking out. I do not recommend this facility to anyone

Our refrigerator went out the 1st day within an hr. They gave us a new one. Our room 303 has a great view from the bed, & balcony. We would stay again❤️ nothing fancy, but great views, and a nice room

This is our second time staying at the Chateau! We love it because it is affordable, clean, and at a great location on the beach! I do wish when they renovated and updated the rooms that they would have apent a little more time on the bathrooms.. they dont really match the rest of the room and still look dated... but they are clean!

Is a good place to stay. Room was clean, enjoyed the pool and very close access to the beach. We enjoyed breakfast and beverages at the outdoor bar; bartender Trish is amazing! The next trip I make to PCB I will definitely stay here!

Overall it was good for the night. Bed was hard and the outlet plugs were a nightmare. There were pieces of garbage in hard to reach places from other clients and the sink water would accumulate and not go down. Water pressure in shower was almost nonexistent. The view of the beach was wonderful and the patio games were a neat touch.

We stay here every visit to PCB. This hotel is not handicapped accessible. It does not effect our stay but i think it should be mentioned. We will book here again though. The hotel has 4 floors & no elevators so everything has to be toted up/down stairs. Bring extra towels bc the pool never has any and housekeeping rarely has any on their carts. The pool closes at sun down which was a negative for us. Overall the hotel is worth the price & we will stay here again.

We got there way earlier then check in so we had to kill a lot of time but our room was ready by 2. We got in and noticed there was no garbage bags in the trash cans. We had gotten the penthouse so it had a full kitchen but didnt have any cookware. Called down and they said we had to request for them so we did. When they brought us some they literally brought 2 pots and that was it. Housekeeping didnt clean our room one time while we was there for 5 days. Called down to get trash bags and another roll of toilet paper and never received any. Ended up using walmart bags for the trash and kleenex to wipe with in the bathroom until my husband went and found a housekeeper to get a roll of toilet paper. Besides those issues it wasnt a bad place to stay

The pictures are misleading. This is called a resort on the listing but in reality, it is a motel with a pool and a bar. The pool was nice and fairly clean, however, the bathroom next to the pool had no toilet paper which led to people using paper towels and throwing it in the trash. It smelled like a dog kennel. Our room was significantly smaller than how it appeared on the website and even though we payed for a king sized bed, we were given a queen sized bed. Most of our linens had brown stains on them. The toilet seat did not match the size of the toilet. The bathroom had a weird smell, maybe mold. The reception area smelled like sewage. The staff was fairly kind and helpful but the overall experience was awful. We decided to leave and not stay the night. If it looks too good to be true, it probably is.

Stay was iffy, we were promised a gulf view but had a view of pool and slight gulf view. Hotel does not offer breakfast and they add extra charges at check in. Bathroom had mold growing on ceiling and coming out of sockets. And room smelled heavily of mold if you didn’t close the bathroom door. There was millions of drain flies, to the point that we had to go out and get raid and spray daily. Dishes were dirty and scarce and the floors left your feet black if walked in without socks or shoes. We were unable to switch rooms due to hotel being fully booked. This property is more of a motel rather than a resort and should be labeled as such. The only good part about this motel is that it is close to the beach and close to attractions.

Check in was unpleasant. The older lady in the office was very rude (we were told the same thing by other guests). We did arrive early and was rudely told that no room until 4. Totally understandable. But at 4, we were told it would be another 40 minutes. 40 minutes later, we were standing outside our room while housekeeping finished cleaning. Once inside and unpacked, discovered the AC unit wasn’t cooling the room. We did get a brand new unit installed within an hour. It was not a pleasant way to start of vacation. We did enjoy the pool and beach!

This is my third stay at this hotel. The condition of the property has really degraded… there was trash everywhere I went. There were beer bottles on the walkway near my room. The condition of the room was poor. The bathroom was terrible and the floors were dirty. There is only ice for purchase. I spent $6 for a bag of ice that was way more than I needed but nothing else was available… the check in desk area smelled like raw sewage. I asked the attendant about it and she said they are trying to find the source. It’s a shame because the location is great, right in the beach. If it is not cleaned up I can see this place folding because people will not stand for material condition

Water from the AC leaked into the room. The door wouldn't shut properly. The toilet was clogged without even using it. No room service. No broom for the sand buildup. No table to eat at. Only one chair to sit in for a family of three. Mini fridge was unbalanced and knocked food onto the sandy floors.

Only stayed one night in this beachfront hotel. Deborah at check in was friendly and gave us a great restaurant recommendation for dinner. Our room had a balcony overlooking the pool. Bed was comfortable so we rested well. Compared to more expensive/fancier hotels, this older/well worn property was very affordable for being right on the beach. It suited our needs and we got to enjoy sunset from the pool deck.

I was really disappointed in our stay this time. The Chateau has always been really special to us, as it was the first place we ever stayed at in Panama. I was real disappointed with this stay, especially since all the updates. Pros Our room was clean. Great staff. Nice size rooms and living area. Great pillows. Close to the beach. Swimming pool area was really nice. Its conveniently located near some stores and restaurants. Cons The main office stinks (like sewer) - SO BAD! The pictures of our room were misleading. It looked as if we would have a balcony, but instead we had to use the main shared balcony area. Our room had 2 seperate bedrooms, and a living room. There was only 1 remote control to use for all 3 rooms. The a/c was kept on the lowest temp and highest fan, but the rooms still were not cool. The shower was difficult to figure out, if my husband didn't have plumbing experience, we would have never figured it out. The water pressure was terrible. The beds were really uncomfortable, other than the pillows. Overall the staff was great, clean room, nice areas. I was just disappointed as it seemed so misleading. The Chateau will always be special to us, but I doubt we will ever stay again.

We had a wonderful week in our favorite Panama City Beach place to stay! Rose, Deborah and Andrea made extra special sure we had everything we needed to make our stay perfect. We've stayed here before and will stay here again. Centrally located right on the pristine white sugar sand beaches! We don't want to leave, but the grandbabies need us. Don’t know because yall ran my card too many times and it locked my card up so I wasn’t able to finish paying for my stay to even check in and yall already had on hold for the room so I had to call yall and have yall talk to the hotel so the stay can be cancelled and still wasn’t able to stay after driving all the way to Panama City so I had to drive all the way back home on a bum trip.

Good location, very expensive drinks in the tiki bar, no elevators, no ice (can purchase a 14lb bag of ice for $6 out of a vending machine), the room looks like they may have updated the floors but left the black mold in the bathroom, the toilet runs all day and night, and the tv remote needed new batteries. On the upside, the room was ready when we arrived a couple hours early, the pool was clean, and the staff were friendly.

Room had some cleanliness issues, spots on sheets, pillow case. Luckily for me I always bring linen (learned that from hotel hell). Mirror was full of something, assuming toothpaste... Floor has sand and someone else's hairs on it, assuming not swept between parties. The shower head/hose leaked all day which flooded the bathroom, informed them no one came, not my problem let her leak. Room was a handicap room 338, had a bar height table with a bar height chair, that's weird but whatever I guess. Sink faucet was odd as well seemed like the cold was hot and the hot was warm. AC unit worked awesome. Balcony is great however doesn't allow much air circulation in the corner there. I'd stay in this room again, easy access.
