The location was perfect. Great sunset views off balcony. The pool was great and warm for this time of year. The hotel needs a lot of updating. Our room on the other hand was disgusting. We did not take our shoes off the entire stay. The one heat unit did not heat the room. We made the best of it but I can’t say that we would stay again unfortunately.

The property is located by the sea which is nice however the room we stayed in was very outdated. There were so many little things that can interfere with your vacation. I went with a friend who constantly stays at the hotel and said this is the worst room at the resort. The check in process was easy and the staff I interacted with were pleasant

Lets see- busted drawer- missing interior door missing - roach in kitchen - hot tub not working
Forgot to check on the bike rally so - loud motorcycles- obnoxious music
Then there was the fact that we couldnt sit on the balcony because someone close by was smoking pot

Going to start by saying we got the room because a potential hurricane was to hit the next morning. We booked a room with jacuzzi. Upon arrival we were informed that the room type we requested and paid for was not available due to housekeeping not having to work because of the hurricane. We would have been more understanding but the same room type was available the night before, however we decided to arrive a day later. So we were downgraded, free of charge. And person on duty had to email the manager to discuss the difference in price between the room we booked and the room we occupied. (Still waiting on the response to that email, btw) Finally, about to get the room key to our standard room WITHOUT jacuzzi, after paying for the room plus taxes and fees online. I was hit with a security deposit. So I was informed we won't be getting the keys until the deposit requirements were met. This would have been understandable, however the difference in price between what we paid for vs the room we were getting would have covered said deposit. Overcoming the check in obstacles we entered first room we were supposed to stay in. To find the bed broken, kitchen cabinet doors off the hinges and broken, holes in the walls and doors, the poo fan in the bathroom hanging out of the ceiling and the aroma of fresh sewage strong in the air. From the balcony an absolutely beautiful view

Stayed for one night waiting for our condo to be available. Was not enjoyable, we did not use the pool or the beach. Room was not clean and could smell people smoking pot every time we exited our room. Staff was courteous and attentive at the front desk, no complaints there.

Staff let us check in 3 hours early, we have 3 sons that school from home, we appreciate them letting us get put up quickly.

We only stayed her 1 night as we tacked on an extra day to trip and just found somewhere quick. Would definitely go back. Laid back, older crowd while we were there...1st weekend after labor day.

We stayed here before (last year) so we booked the same hotel because it was great. When arriving this time hotels.com said 98.00 due at hotel for resort fee just like last year but the charged us 179.00 (said it was wrong that it changed) so we paid it then told us there was a 250.00 deposit on top of that. Never paid it last year. Said they changed hands and hotel.com was wrong so o said they need to get a hold of hotel.com and have them change it. As it is not letting people know the right amounts. Hotels.com did say that there will be a 25.00 deposit for anyone under 25. I am almost 50!!! Also we never got fresh towels or room cleaned the whole 7 days! We had to go ask for everything! We asked to have our room at least vacuumed and never got that! Just wish we were told about the 250.00 and 179.00 before we got there as we only had a limited amount of money. So we didn’t get to do much. But there was an amazing guy who was very friendly he was maintenance. Hopefully it gets all worked out so we can book again with them and have an amazing time next year.

The only thing I liked was the ocean. To start with I was told over the phone I’d be on the 7th floor since I requested the highest floor. When I went to check in one guy was on his cell phone and didn’t say a word. The last told me I would be on the 4th floor and I told her that I was told I’d be on the 7th floor. So that was disappointing as well. The room was dirty. The bathroom had hair on the sink around the toilet tub and floor. There was pee around the toilet. The lights didn’t work. There were roaches. The bed smelled like pee. The room stank in general. Asked to speak to a manger everyday for 3 days just to be told there’s none available. Ask for housekeeping to clean the room after we got to it and no one ever came. We left a day early cause we couldn’t deal with it anymore. Not to mention you couldn’t sit on the balcony without smelling cigarettes and weed. I’ll never go back to that hotel.

Love the waterfront location of Beachcomber, near Pier Park and a Winn Dixie grocery store right across the roundabout.
Unfortunately, during my stay, the two driveways into the property were packed sand (not pavement) and sometimes blocked due to heavy equipment laying sewage/water pipes underground in front of hotel. This wasn't so bad, the noise was tolerable, but the ELEVATORS were on the fritz...only one of the two was working, and sometimes it wasn't! I was on the 6th floor, so I had a great aerobic workout getting to my room at times.
I liked the layout of the room, bedroom in front, kitchenette (with large fridge) in middle and living room area in back. Loved being up high to look out over the gulf. But when I looked down into the pool (not huge but nice size), I could see black splotches on the sides (underwater).
For the inexpensiveness, it was worth it at The Beachcomber. The staff was very nice.

Very happy with this Hotel! It was right on the water and the bed was comfy! Loved that it had a full kitchen and full size fridge! Plus a living room!

It took about 30 minutes to get checked in. They checked my ID 4 times and finally found my reservations. Room was dirty and a lot of things broken, loose or didn’t work. Staff was rude,the bartender served an under age girl. And got caught. The pool is nasty. I don’t recommend this hotel to take your kids.
