One of the nicest things about this property is the free wine and cheese every evening in the lounge. Great way to wind down the evening. On one of the occasions when we arrived late for the wine, the night manager Dan showed up at our room with two glasses of wine and some cheese. Service above and beyond.

We loved staying at Casa Del Mar. our family reserved multiple rooms for our wedding and we could not have been happier with our stay at this charming hotel. Rooms were clean and spacious and the grounds were impeccably kept and well landscaped. We loved the wine and cheese hour and the breakfast (which include Porto’s danishes, our favorite bakery in LA!) To top it off, we can’t say enough about the front desk staff who were so friendly and incredibly helpful in accommodating us and some special needs of my 90-year old dad. We genuinely enjoyed our stay and will be returning when we are back in the area!

The staff were all very professional and friendly. The hotel was very quiet and relaxing.

Wonderful location. Great service. Room was a little on the small side but didn’t spend much time in it. Good value. Would stay here again.

Great location. Clean, comfortable, great staff and hospitality.

The property was well kept and clean. The room was nice with a fully equipped kitchen. Located close to the water and eating options. Parking was limited but adequate. Only negative is no AC but it’s close enough to the ocean to get a nice breeze if you leave the windows open.

Very nice property and close to the beach

The staff was helpful and accommodating. We loved the room and location. Our unit had a kitchenette, some cutlery and a kettle would have been a nice touch.

You can't beat SB oceanfront location, but there are many better properties nearby for the nearly same price. A couple of unpleasant discoveries first. Apparently, this hotel staff is not in sync (hopefully unintentionally) with other hotels about what the kitchenette is. It is not just microwave and a little fridge, guys. So if some parent reads the description too quickly, this parent is going to be disappointed to discover that there is no cooking gear in the room, so your little kids need to eat something microwaved. Another thing - they probably think they are Ritz-Carlton, so they charge 5 bucks/water bottle. Well, guys, you are not. Pleasant little things: exceptional pastries for the breakfast, wine and cheese happy hour, very helpful and polite staff.

They served wine in the evening that was nice and looking forward to the breakfast tomorrow. Place is nice and quiet. Lots of things to do within walkable distance. Would surely come back.

I have been staying at Casa del Mar for about 14 years. It is just a cozy little bungalow. Always clean. The staff is great. It just feel a little home away from home to my husband and I. Perfect when we bring the dogs.

The location and the staff are great! The room though had some issues. There were 3-4 spiders as well as no heat! It was really cold at night!

Cute little inn! The complimentary breakfast consisted of danishes and bagels. Perfect location was able to walk everywhere from the inn

Accommodation is close to the waterfront. It’s clean but a little dated. Walls are thin and we could easily hear the people next door. Breakfast was basic but adequate. Friendly staff.

The atmosphere was perfect and across the street from the beach. Old world charm combined with a great location. Besides breakfast they offered a wine and cheese free happy hour

So well maintained. Loved the cottage feel. Staff helpful

Great location close to the beach. Very lumpy pillows though, and the room became stuffy easily.

Accommodated an early check in. Great communication. Great room.

Terrible in so many ways! Horrible chlorine smell, dirty floors/surfaces & dripping noises all day/night! Also, the a/c didn’t work and it was a hot few days in SB! Lastly, bfst was bare minimum.

The property was nice and clean. The only things I didn’t like was that there isn’t air conditioning. It was very warm in the room. We noticed other people using fans and our neighbor told us to go ask for a fan. The fan helped once it was nighttime. The parking is limited. There are not enough spots for all of the rooms. We got a covered spot, but when we left we lost it. We ended up driving around for about an hour until someone left and we got that spot. We were afraid to leave because we were afraid of losing our parking. The street parking was all taken up. We ended up taking a walk to lower State street for ice cream after dinner. I liked everything else about the property, but I wouldn’t stay here again.

Very clean room and very clean and well kept grounds. The bed was a little too soft would be my only slight negative.

We booked one of the rooms designated as 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms with kitchen. It was more like a 1 bedroom with the other bed in the living room, but still nice and roomy. Nice sized kitchen with a door between it and the main living area. There is covered parking, first come first serve, and the location is so convenient to the beach she Stearns Wharf. It really was cute accommodations. Would stay again!

Older property, but very well maintained. Great shower with very hot water. Friendly staff, easy parking. Clean. Good value.
Basic room was smaller than I expected, with no frills. But the price was much less than other hotels. All in all.... a nice place and a good value.

Really nice Santa Barbara style location. The 2 bedroom suite is huge and an incredible value

Great staff and location. Will definitely stay there again
6.0
Convenient and close to the beach. However, in the picture for the room I booked, it showed I had a kitchen and also stated that there was a kitchen, but my room did not have one. Also, there were stains on the sheets of one of the beds.
4.0
It was clear that this hotel has been upgraded, as shared in brochures and on line. Unfortunately, my room had not been ungraded and did not include any of the things that were advertised in the recent renovations.
The room was TINY, full, not queen bed, tiny tv that was like a computer screen in the corner, bathroom sink not even in bathroom, old fashioned keys when other rooms had all new entrance card key entry, paper thin walls, barking dogs, bedding was old and gave me extreme allergies as of it had not been fully laundered, no in room coffee, broken ice machine, no in room mini or full kitchen as described, zero in room amenities except wall mounted blow dryer, no fireplace as described…. This room was the smallest I have ever stayed in with fewer amenities than any room I have ever stayed in. The staff was really sweet, but other than this, I was horribly disappointed.
How can you share images of rooms that are simply false? That is how we are booking and it makes me think twice about using you.

We stayed for only 1 night, but really appreciated the care made by the staff. Pleasant stay, loved the wine and cheese hour! Rooms are spacious and clean.

Good location. No parking in the motel. When the 9 parking places are occupied, you have to park on the street. Room was not as advertised. Too small, bathroom door would not close completely and antique lighting. I would not stay here again.

This location was excellent! It was very close to the beach. The rooms were very big and the bed was great! I loved the stay here.
