Super cute hôtel in downtown
5.0 / 10.0
The owners of this property paid attention to each and every detail. The custom-made furniture through to the complimentary toothpaste (a very cool silver tube) to the gummy bears.
The interior is fantastically-comfortable and it felt as if we were staying at our Granny’s chic country home after she retired as a leading interior design professional!!
The location was superb….not close to be very quiet, but so close to the fantastic restaurants and features of Old Town.
Breakfast was simple, yet perfect.
Our only minor concern was the location of room Neuf (9). We heard the comings and goings of other guests, but this settled late in the evening as everyone tucked into their comfortable and serene rooms.
Very highly recommended.

The hotel is cozy and beautifully restored. Breakfast in the mornjng is light but a perfect start to the day. The staff is warm and welcoming. The location is perfect for walking to dinner or attractions. The bathroom is small, as other travelers noted. The vent in the bathroom ceiling was completely covered in dust. It must be noted there is an active construction site across the street and work starts at 7:00 am. The noise made it difficult to sleep in. Despite these few complaints, it is still a beautiful property in a great location.

Beautiful property in old Quebec City. Tasteful architecture and interior design, nice breakfast and great amenities. Walking distance to everything in Quebec City. Perfect for a romantic getaway.

The hotel staff will do whatever it takes to make your stay pleasant. The entire hotel is impeccably designed. The location is ideal with easy access to Old Quebec. I would highly recommend a stay here.

The hotel was beautiful. You felt the history in it. Breakfast was excellent - fresh and delicious. We didn't realize that there would be no elevator, so it was a slight challenge at our age to get to our rooms on the 3rd floor using a somewhat steep staircase. But our luggage was taken up for us from the street and taken down to the street level when we left which was a tremendous help.
We'd definitely recommend this hotel. It is very charming.

Great stay in QC. 9 rooms (I think) so very personal. The staff are great. Very nice breakfast in the AM. A couple of blocks to the main areas of town, convenient but quiet. The manager, Paule, and her team (shout out to Marie Eve) were fantastic and so helpful. Their service will ultimately bring us back.

The staff were so friendly and provided an excellent service. They provided details of restaurants booked taxis and gave advice on where to visit in Quebec. The hotel is of a very high standard providing the staff providing a very personal service.

This is a trendy, well-decorated, lovely boutique hotel. The location is just 2 blocks from the River. The only negative is the steps to enter are steep, and there is not an elevator for humans - just luggage. The hostess Paule was very relaxed, welcoming and helpful.

This hotel was first class standard. As it’s a designer, I felt very inspired and every detail was taken care of. The staff went out of their way to make us feel comfortable. It had a very cool, modern vibe, yet old world.
I highly recommend this hotel.

This new boutique 9 room property is very unique and well done. Paule the GM is all Hospitiality and staff are well trained and accommodating. We will be back to enjoy the place for sure. Highly recommended

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. It is a small property with only 9 rooms, but you really can have as much or as little contact with other guests as you want. It was great to see staff multiple days and get an individualized experience. They provided great recommendations to us and we had a great experience in Quebec City because of those recommendations.
The hotel is newly updated and beautiful. There are many rooms throughout you can relax in, read a book, have a snack.
Parking: There is a parking lot associated with the hotel only a short walk away ($25 a day, very worth it)
Accessibility: This is the only downside of this property. There are many stairs, including probably about 6 from the street up to the lobby. There is no elevator on property. There is a luggage elevator so you do not have to take your luggage up and down, but there is no passenger elevator.
No keys for rooms, it is all codes for doors throughout the hotel. It is up to the guests to make sure they lock the door to the hotel at night after the staff leaves. They do give you a 24/7 phone number that we did need to use once, but they picked up right away and addressed our issue.

This is a wonderful upscale small boutique hotel experience. We were fortunate enough to get Room 6, which has a view over the park and city in the front of the building. The owners have done a superb job renovating a 200-year old house which has only 9 rooms. The rooms are small and efficient, but have beautiful finishes, a the bed and pillows are very comfortable. The area is generally very quiet but you are still within walking distance of the Fairmont, restaurants, shops and the Citadel. There is a bike rental stand just down the street, it is a wonderful place to explore on bike. The staff at Cap Diamant, led by Paula and Chantal, are superb. Breakfast with nice croissants and coffee is included, and you can enjoy it in the lush courtyard to the rear of the building. Coming and going is easy because all locks have 4-digit passcodes, so you can come and go as you please, even outside of regular staff attendance hours.
A couple of caveats: first, this is not for those with diffuvclty climbing stairs. The stairs inside the building are old and steep, and even the front entry requires a half flight of stairs to access. The rooms are small, and the bathrooms remind me more of european efficiency units than American sized bathrooms, despite their opulent finishes. Rooms do have nice quiet AC inverter units, which we enjoyed on the humid days, but other night we slept with windows open which is quite refreshing.Would highly recommend to those looking for a unique boutique hotel

This was the perfect hotel for a European feel romantic weekend. The hotel and the room were gorgeous. I particularly appreciated the in room Nespresso (with real milk in the fridge!), the mini fridge with complimentary sparking water, pop and snacks, and the breakfast in the morning. The hotel itself it on a quiet street but it’s a 2 min walk to the Châteaux. The hotel staff were very friendly - and had a good balance of being around vs giving you privacy. The hotel is small and there are stairs but this adds to the charm.

I booked this hotel given all the 10 ratings and I would give it a 10 for the first night. We stayed 5 nights and the shine wore off. I recommend a one or maximum two night stay to enjoy the hotel. Beyond that you will get frustrated with having to ask for basics like the coffee and beverage bar to be refilled. Or requests not fulfilled - for example, I asked for a ground floor room (max one flight of stairs) and we were placed on the 3rd floor: 3 flights of stairs multiple times a day became increasingly challenging for me. The staff is lovely (esp Mary Eve) and clearly trying their best but not on par with service for a high end boutique hotel.

We had a wonderful three-night stay. The staff outstanding, the rooms are very clean and newly renovated. The bathroom is tight for space, but the rainfall shower is great. Loved the lasies

This hotel is fantastic!! What a gem in the middle of beautiful Quebec City, and the hotel itself added so much to our stay. It's a gorgeously restored historic home with just 9 rooms, fabulous breakfasts, and the nicest staff ever!

This small boutique hotel with only nine rooms and included breakfast gave it a bed-and-breakfast feel. The building and our room were quaint yet with a modern feel. The courtyard out back was beautiful. The staff was attentive, nice, and very helpful. The room we had itself (number 4) was beautiful. One issue was that the bathroom sink was very small and low, making it not very functional. However, there was another sink in the room. The other issue was that the bathroom had a sliding door which did not close the entrance fully by design, which I imagine may be a show-stopper for some. The hotel was on a cobble-stone street in old Québec very close to all the restaurants and shops. The paid-parking option provided by the hotel was convenient and well worth it. You paid one fee regardless of how many times you took the car out during the day. Overall we would recommend this hotel strongly if you're looking for a charming experience.

Wonderful boutique hotel. The sevice was impeccable, the room clean, cozy and comfortable. Newly renovated. There are a lot of stairs with no elevator and the bathroom was small but well appointed. These things weren't an issue for us, but something to be aware of if that's a concern. We absolutely loved the property, walkable to much of the sites in Old Town Quebec. We will definitely stay here again for future visits.

If you’re solo or a couple in Quebec, and this beautiful boutique hotel is available, book it right away! You won’t regret it. The parking is offsite, but very close. The service is off the charts and the rooms are well thought out. You can walk everywhere.

It's beautiful boutique Hotel, with only nine rooms. The reception and staff was lovely and very helpful. Love staying there and felt very special. Rooms are not that big but sufficient. My only complaint would be the bathroom sink is very very small. Other than that it was amazing place to stay breakfast was good too

This hotel spoiled me for all other hotels! It is a charming property with a lovely room and super comfortable linens and bed- really big fluffy towels and superior bathrobes. I loved how the hotel was off on a quiet street that was often blocked off to traffic, but we could easily walk into the bustling streets where the restaurants were. The staff was so friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was perfect- warm croissants, yummy cheese, jam, and ham, fresh fruit, juice, and a cafe au lait- what could be better? I would highly recommend this place to anyone. The only caution I would give is that our room was on the second floor, and there is no elevator (there is a luggage elevator though!). It was not a problem for us, but less mobile folks might want a lower floor room.

I truly enjoyed the stay. It was made special by the staff. They were so sweet and helpful, and gave me some great recommendations of places to go and restaurants to dine in during my stay.
I enjoyed the included breakfast, and dining outside on the adorable patio. They also left several snacks in the room, for free, which i binged on at the end of the night ;)
There was one unexpected issue, which is that there is quite a lot of construction going on. They are building a park across the street and there is construction going on 2 houses down. There was also some work being done on the premises. It didn’t start too early, and was over by 4, but i found it hard to take a nap in the middle of the day, and wish this had been mentioned where i booked.
Overall, a great stay, with a comfortable bed and pillows, and a positive vibe. I would stay there again.

Amazing newly renovated boutique hotel. The staff is incredibly kind and friendly, the location is great and close to everything but in a quiet area. Rooms are spacious and beautiful although bathroom is small. Lovely garden! It felt like home away from home. We loved our stay and would definitely come back.

Beautiful boutique hotel in Old City. The employees were super kind and helpful. Had a hidden elevator in the ceiling (like a dumb waiter) to get luggage to your floor. Breakfast was fruit, cheeses, meat and warm croissant.

So happy we found this beautiful newly remodeled 7-room boutique hotel on a quiet side street in Old Quebec City. Modern design meets old world charm with an extremely friendly staff. Room Cinco (5) is extremely large. The continental breakfast was lovely. Would definitely stay here again. Disclaimer: If steep stairs and tiny bathrooms are a problem for you, this might not be the place for you. We loved it!

Great service, extremely friendly. Rooms, bed very comfortable. The only suggestion I would have is for breakfast to be a little earlier, as 8:30 for me is late - i’m an early riser. Otherwise, excellent hotel!

Beautifully newly restored building with modern decor and amenities. Staff went out of their way to take good care of us. Nice continental breakfast. Comfortable beds and good shower. Great location to walk the old city, very quiet street. Highly recommend and would stay again. Did not bother us, but the bathrooms are tiny.
