Room was quaint. Staff was friendly. Comfy bed. Kurieg coffee pot with k-cups provided in room. Location was excellent!! Within walking distance of everything in the French Quarter. The only downfall is no parking. We had to park several blocks away and carry our luggage, etc., back to hotel. We were lucky to find street parking for free.

For the rate it charged, I would have expected more. If the rate was lower, I wouldn't mind giving it a higher rating.
No proper check-in area. No proper luggage storage area. The room was basic. With basic amenities. Not even a toothbrush and toothpaste. No kettle. Not even a chair or small sofa to sit in the room except the bed. The AC was not working properly. I even think that my room was haunted as the lights switched off by itself twice, and tv was on one time by itself when I was in the toilet. I told the reception about it.

Outstanding stay. It was clean , great location & amazing PRICE

It was a charming, slightly funky, older hotel in a great location in the French Quarter. Beds were very comfortable and everything was clean. Not enough electrical outlets. Would not recommend for anyone with mobility issues.

The hotel was nice, clean, and comfortable. Recently updated bathrooms and furnishings. But, if you’re a light sleeper, do not accept room 501 or 502 (opens to street/sidewalk) The late night/early morning traffic and people just outside your door will keep you awake.

Great spot in the FQ. Lots of people on the streets late at night.

Nice location, friendly staff, quite silent room

I knew, in part, what I was in for regarding the condition of the Inn as I've stayed in almost all owned by the same people & loved each for their own charms. I actually love the older, authenticity of these rooms/ Inns. The exterior has all of the character of the historic area & the rooms are comfortable but the bathroom & room itself could have been cleaned better. The door took both of us to open it due to the heat & age, they stick which was fine but be prepared to struggle. The gap under the door to the outside made me uneasy due to the amt of critters we saw in the courtyard & surrounding area around the Inn. The main reason for the lower score was the location. During the day, it's fine, but when you're walking back at 1am, you find yourself practically running because it's downright terrifying in this area. So keep this in mind when booking. It's comfortable & cute but the safety aspect or feeling of the lack of safety in the area will prevent me from booking here again unless I uber to & from the short distance from city center.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The staff here are extremely friendly and helpful. The property is conveniently located a block up from Bourbon St and a few blocks down from Decatur. Which made exploring the quarter beyond manageable on foot! It’s a nice piece of classic New Orleans, and will book again!!

Love our stay. Room is spacious and clean. Staff were all friendly and helpful

I love how every building is different. Every room has it's own shape, from high to low ceilings with brick walls within odd shaped room configurations, and hidden nooks

The staff was amazing. The property was beautiful, quiet and clean. Everything was brand new due to renovations. All the staff made us feel right at home. Our new go to place to stay when visiting

If you appreciate an older property, you will love this. It has all that is needed for 2024.

Check in was easy contrary to some of the other reviews I read. I called ahead and a man was outside when we pulled up. We parked on the street which was okay for our weekday stay.
We got two King rooms. The man who checked us in recommended that we take room #5 as it’s quieter and away from the courtyard.
We checked out my son’s room (#22). It was small but comfortable. He had bad WiFi connection (he’s a gamer) but a HotSpot connection fixed that. His Xbox wouldn’t reach the tv so he used an extension cord.
Our room was a little bigger than his, but was VERY HOT. I turned the AC on but realized that the AC cuts off if the door stays open more than 5 seconds.
Also, could not turn the ceiling fan on and turn off the light that’s attached to the fan. On night one this was not a problem. The seat of the toilet looked like someone had vomited something red and they tried to clean it without bleach.
Either way, we were too tired from the 6 hour drive to complain so we didn’t make a fuss.
On night two, at almost 2 AM I heard the AC cut off and realized I couldn’t turn it back on. My husband was too tired and it hasn’t gotten hot so he just said let’s wait.
But by 5 AM was now almost 90 degrees in the room.
I called the front desk and the Inn on St. Ann… no answer. I finally reached someone at their other sister property who brought us a small, rusty fan.. no other rooms were available. Maintenance not available till 9 AM. We checked out EARLY at 6 AM HOT and very MAD.

Amazing location. Lots of charm. Steep stairs only thing to consider. But other than that great hotel and location.

Good prices, vintage property, try for a room with a window. Great access to local stores and a laundromat in walking distance.

The overall stay was nice. The AC was very slow to cool the room down, but eventually got to 74 deg F. Location was good. Convenience store on the corner was great for voth water and snacks But also served a very good breakfast sandwich!

The staff are this hotels best asset. It is close to Frenchman Street, French Market and Jackson Square.
There are no refrigerators or microwave ovens. Very sparse on amenities. Had a cockroach cohabitating with me.

This place was amazing and very cozy. I was also quiet and quaint. Definately Staying there again on the next trip and my husband and I will bringing our adult children and we will book 4 rooms instead of 1. Gary and Greg were great hosts.

The room they gave us had a carbon monoxide detector that started going off in the first few hours we were there so they moved us downstairs to a bigger room with King bed

Not for those who want a Hampton experience but we loved it. Our only complaint was some 1am chatting in the courtyard that disturbed our sleep. Coffeemaker available - our King bed room was very clean and comfortable. No fridge but we brought a cooler. Pay parking is a few blocks away but there is also some street parking.

This was such a cool find! My husband and I got in at 3pm and we’re able to just parallel park outside the place (which I did not plan for in the French quarter). The outside is rather unassuming, but then you’re invited into the Parisian courtyard, and there are about 20 rooms that stay fairly quiet despite being a block from Royal street. Room was beautifully renovated with high ceilings and a nice bathroom. The AC worked well but was dripping a bit due to humidity (probably more of an issue for them than for us). Highly recommend for anyone staying in old New Orleans.

Loved the Location

It was surprisingly quiet for a room in the Quarter. Very clean and the king size bed was so comfortable I wanted to take it with me! Check in was very easy which is a big thing for me. The only problem I had, like most hotels in the Quarter, is the parking. There isnt any and there isnt an area to pull up to load/unload bags and it was raining hard when we left and had cars waiting on us to move.

Greg at the front desk is excellent. And the other folks also super friendly and warm.
It’s a very small place and has been around since the 1700… it’s age shows tho of course it’s all been renovated.
Perfectly located and comfortable.
No in-room fridge or microwave, but there are two delis a block away for emergency food needs.

Cute little room in historic building. Clean, Quiet and close to everything. Parking lot P409 a few short blocks away for $25 overnight was perfect. Front desk guy was very friendly. Don’t know why they show a hot tub on website but there is not one. Will definitely go back.
If your used to big modern hotel stick with that, your probably to picky for this “small, rundown” piece of history.

The air conditioner dripped water onto the floor the entire stay. Despite immediately reporting the problem, they did not repair it. The constant dripping noise and dealing with water on the floor was terrible. Otherwise, the bed was very comfortable and the room was clean. They would get alot better review had they taken care of the maintenance issues.

I stayed here about a month ago & did a review then. The fact I’ve done so again says it all. Great location. Would stay here again no problem
