The hotel is beautiful, clean, nice and warm, quiet. Everything was perfect.

We booked a last minute overnight stay. Two of us in a room for 5. Very clean with everything we could have needed - fridge, kettle, microwave, hairdryer, great shower, TV etc.
Beds were a bit hard but I think that’s personal preference as I like a soft mattress but room was very clean and well decorated. Would definitely stay again. Five minute walk from Paddington Station with shops and restaurants nearby. Close to Hyde Park - we stayed for Winter Wonderland. We couldn’t check in until 4 but were able to drop our bags off earlier in the day. Easy check in.

The hotel is quite alright, nice and helpful staff. The room was more spacious than the photos showed.
The only downside was a weird odor like water damage.

Great budget hotel near Paddington.
Second time I've stayed here. This trip I had a triple room. Nice a spacious.
It was very cold week in London but the room was lovely and warm heating worked really well and windows were not drafty like many other hotels in the area.
Would highly recommend.

The bed was hard to sleep on

Close to everything eg shops, train station. A bit old but clean hotel. Very friendly staff. The only negative is we could hear very loud noise from the room above us that woke us up so early.

Big confusion about booking details

The rooms was a bit small but in good conditions. A good option to stay a night or two. I wouldn't stay longer personally. The room was in the underground floor.

We have had a great stay at Lindens House. the bad reviews are not justified. The family room is large, clean and has a fridge, microwave and kettle. Not an abnormal amount of noise from the street. The staff are pleasant and very helpful. I would say this is a child-friendly hotel, as long as the child can tolerate noise. we traveled with a 6-month-old baby and had a great stay. This hotel is very centrally located to everything London has to offer. Walking distance to the underground, Hyde Park, Oxford Street, Nottingham, yes, the typical tourist attractions. We will definitely visit Linden house in the future.

Very good value and nice people
3.0 / 5.0
Very kind and helpful staff, especially with our luggage, as climbing up to the top floor was a bit of a challenge. The room was very basic and suitable for one overnight stay on the way somewhere else, so OK for us. It would have been comforting if the emergency exit (the second front door, no. 4) had been cleared of the big pile of stored items: in the event of a fire, we would have been trapped. I would suggest addressing this health & safety issue as quickly as possible.

I got moved to another hotel, further away from my event that evening. The hotel I booked had a leak so they moved me to another hotel meaning I was too far away.

Room was clean and comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful. Lovely area.

Our room was very clean, tidy and recently renovated. Located in the basement, although there was no actual view, we did have a window looking out into a light well. The bed was very comfortable and we found nice warm blankets as it was a bit cold. Overall a pleasant nights stay for our purposes and we will certainly be back.

I know that Paddington is famous for its small hotel rooms. But this is a grotesque. This is supposedly a three-star hotel. The double room was about 7-8 square meters. In the basement. Of course, there is no air conditioning, only a small window that literally meets the window of the neighbor - you can talk and watch TV together. There is not even half a shelf in the bathroom. Plus the dirt. Every pillowcase with stains, by the bed someone's hairpin. And the biggest abomination - someone's used soap on the frame of the shower stall. After taking a shower, when the “room” was like a sauna - for the very first time we made the decision to “escape”. We threw money down the drain for a 2-night stay. And we don't regret it. A slightly more expensive Best Western 2 minutes away turned out to be much better. Never again!

A clean en-suite room near Paddington.
Room: London property so obviously a tight room however still space for a desk
En-suite: shower was good enough with excellent nozzle pressure.
Bed: firm mattress and decent pillows. Was like a 1.5x single so decent.
Price: £61 excl any breakfast, almost too good to be true value for money in this area.
Overall: great for business overnight stay at low cost.
Negatives: the room had a smokers smell. I slept with window open for cool breeze so not really an issue but maybe stipulate smoke free room during colder times of year.

Very convenient for transport and exploring. Friendly staff and clean. Comfortable bed, all the basics for a comfortable 2 night stay.

The hotel has a good cost benefit. Close to the Paddignton Station and lots of options of restaurants. No elevator, so if we are with lots of luggage it might be uncomfortable.

Exactly what we needed. Very close to a tube and train station, loads of small shops and restaurants within a stones throw. Clean and comfortable room for a good price.

Great location for Paddington Station and the cleaning staff couldn't do enough to sort out the shower, but my room had an old hostel feel to it.

Good cost benefit. Apartment is clean, beds are good, close to public transportation and easy to go to many touristic points.

Lovely family room with kettle, tea and coffee provided. Excellent location. Very clean We stayed for 2 night cleaners come after the first night giving fresh towels and refilled tea and coffee. We felt safe the in and around the property staff were friendly . We would definitely stay here again

We booked this hotel as we wanted to explore London with our children it was perfectly located the staff were friendly and always happy to help the room was big enough for the 5 of us however the bathroom was quite tight. I’d book again as it was perfectly situated. The beds weren’t the most comfortable but they weren’t bad either. We were given fresh towels every day that was really handy as we had the children with us

It is basically a private room at a youth hostel. Prepare to have to go up many flights of stairs.
2.0 / 5.0
Details spot on, only negative was we were on the top floor which required 4 sets of stairs to reach and were quite small and steep towards the top.

Was allowed to check in early. That’s a positive

Totally awful. Plastic shrink-wrapped stairs, our “quad with bathroom” was a tiny room stuffed with two full-sized beds and a couple pieces of peeling laminate furniture and a closet-sized bathroom. We had to climb FOUR sets of stairs to get to it w/ no help. Room was UNGODLY hot. No ventilation, only a fan bolted to the wall at the ceiling where it did nothing. Had to prop open our door to the hallway (totally unsafe!) to get any air flow. We couldn’t sleep. The guy at the desk said we came too late for a better room (reservation made a month in advance and company notified about our late arrival). He ACKNOWLEDGED the terrible conditions and said they’d give us a first floor room the next day. He didn’t say the first floor room would be better ventilated or larger, so I sat in the hallway at 2am looking for other places for my family to stay. I booked another hotel for the rest of our stay. Day manager the next morning chastised us for our expectations being too high and offered three first floor rooms. Two were no different than the room we had. One allegedly had air conditioning but at that point I didn’t trust it was in working order. They refused any refund nor offered any apology for our sleepless night. TERRIBLE place, and terrible customer service. Day manager said I would find nothing better and would be back asking for one of their first floor rooms. We found amazing accommodations at Apex Temple Court Hotel. They upgraded us too. Be warned, this place is awful.

Lovely hotel for a quick trip to London. Only a short walk from Paddington station. The owner was very welcoming and gave us a choice of rooms. We chose the attick room which had a typical London view. The room was air conditioned and very clean and cosy. The beds were comfortable and we had a great night sleep. Check out was quick and easy and there were plenty of bars and cafes near by for meal times.

We had to book this hotel at the last minute because we couldn't catch our evening train into Paris. The price was reasonable comparing to others but It wouldn't have been a choice had we known there wasn't a lift. We struggled to bring our luggages to the top floor. Also, we were only given one room key for 4 people and was told by the clerk that we had to give them the key each time we leave out. What? Why? Luckily we were only staying one night. It was also a struggle for one person to fit in the bathroom.

First impression initially wasnt great as hotel doesnt have a sign, just a printed piece of paper with hotel name on. Gent on receptiom was very friendly and let us choose from one of two rooms. Unfortunately they were both on the same floor and required to climb 77 stairs to get there. After walking 25,000 steps per day for 2 days, on the 3rd, we were rather haggered!
Room was small but had everything we needed including air conditioning which was a bonus! Beds a little on the hard side than what i am used to but absolutely fine. Water pressure not the best and water struggled to stay warm for the entirety of your shower. Also not a lot of room to move around in there.
Location was great! Plenty around. Hotel let us store our luggage also which was helpful

We were on the top floor and it was a hike that we weren't prepared for!
3.0 / 5.0
The property was in a convenient location and the staff was friendly and let us choose which room we wanted. We thought it was strange that they made us give the key back when we left the hotel. When we would come to pick up our key for the night, there was no verification process, you just tell them your room number and they give you the key. It seems like you could say any number and get a key. The building was under construction so I’m sure it will be nicer when they complete renovations, but we found the key process/ security unusual and did not like it.

Man at the front desk was very friendly. We only had a short stay but would have loved to stay for longer.
4.0 / 5.0
Everything was good there. I liked the Wi-Fi and refrigerator facility . The only just little bit inconvenient thing was that the room was small for us but we managed, so not a big issue .. all in all i and my husband liked the stay there
1.0 / 5.0
Hotel was crawling with Bed Bugs. Stay here if you want to be bitten. In my 20 years of using Expedia, this is the worse property I've stayed at.
We were in London over the weekend when Wimbledon, Eurocup final and London Marathon were happening so the city was sold out. If not we would have gladly paid to move to another place.
Don't be fool by the low price - it's not worth it.
