Amazing stay inside the boat. The rooms were spacious and comfy. A bit far from city center if you didn't plan a watertaxi a bit in advance.
10.0
Best option for parking and a hotel stay if you're taking a cruise out of Rotterdam!

No air conditioning
They say it’s for global warming, but they’re not allowed to have air conditioning. Every other hotel in Europe had air conditioning. It was horrible.

Food is great, breakfast was surprisingly good. Employees helped me and were very kind !

Fun experience to stay on the ship.
Really good and informative service when you go on the boat tour.
Not so good a service on the remaining ship: reception who doesn’t want to help, hard to get service (even get a table) at the restaurant in the evening.
The volounteers made the stay worthwhile.

The service was good, the shuttle helped to get to the metro although finish early, the staff are lovely and helpful

Rooms were clean and comfortable. Even had a small refrigerator.
Boat was clean and tour was fun.
Food was excellent! Breakfast buffet was great as well as dinner.
It was nice to eat outside watching the sunset! Super romantic! Recommend making a dinner reservation.

The history, but on hot days, no air-condition!

Unique experience to stop on board a boat and friendly staff!

It was wonderful to see the ship and stay there, a unique hotel experience. The cabin was comfortable and clean, some areas of the ship looked to need some attention/maintenance. We were hoping to be able to access more areas of the ship, but that was only possible through booking a tour, which our time did not allow. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Convenient and walkable surroundings

This is a unique experience staying on a retro steam liner/cruise ship. The rooms are retro but upgraded. The only down side is that most of the ship is not part of the hotel and you must buy tickets in order to see the best rooms. There is a small discount if you are staying the night, but bake that into the price.

Very helpful staff friendly and chatty and language was not an issue thankfully as I don't speak Dutch
Restaurant food was excellent plenty of choices. Breakfast hot food, well could have a little bit warmer but that was the only thing I will criticise,
Beds were big and very comfy
Bathroom was huge with soft fluffy towels and plenty of toiletries

The accommodation is featured within a ship cabin room with modern comforts. The room that I stayed was cozy and big but with only 2 small round windows (closed). The hotel provides shuttle van to Rijnhaven metro station, only learnt that on the third day. Nevertheless, the Bus 77 is still convenient to travel between the hotel and Rijnhaven station. 👍

The accommodation is featured within a ship cabin room with modern comforts. The room that I stayed was big, suitable for two guests. The hotel provides shuttle van to Rijnhaven metro station, only learnt that on third day though. Overall a pleasant and memorable stay!

It's the Steamship Rotterdam... a really special surprise for my family... I told them I booked a hotel.... and only when we turned the corner dit it click that this huge ship was our hotel...
Super short stay, next time a longer visit to Rotterdam.
Pity that it doesn't really have good transport (frequent) to Rotterdam and the Ahoy...I had to take the car.. otherwise would have been too late for the show.

Very fun to stay on a retired cruise ship. The room.was large and comfortable. There was a bus shuttle between the hotel to our cruise ship which was fantastic. There are two dining options in the hotel which were ok, but no other dining options in the area.

The SS Rotterdam was a world class cruise liner when she sailed the oceans and is now a wonderful hotel with clean and spacious retro decor accommodations. The staff is friendly and helpful, especially the doormen and shuttle drivers. Taking a guided tour of the ship is a must, the historical perspective of the guides is fantastic!

It was a great hotel, staying on a vintage steam liner was wonderful, the tour of the ship was good, the restaurant was good. The 2 things we noticed was the porthole windows were very dirty and the bathroom exhaust fan vent was hanging out of the deckhead

It would be nice to be able to explore areas of the ship without purchasing a ticket to do so. Seems odd.

SS Rotterdam was a retired cruise ship which was gorgeous. Be great to explore the ship more.

Fantastic location to stay, and it is possible to rent bikes Rotterdam Centre is perfect for biking. Nice ship with a lot of history. Easy to park the car. Staff was very friendly and service-minded. The room was clean but the madrasses of the beds were not good and must have been in use for ages. The aircondition in the room did not work properly. The hotellbar was closed and that was a dissappointment. Breakfast was ok but nothing special considering the price. Anyway, we enjoyed our stay and will certainly come back again.

Did you sleep well. The voices of people walking in the corridor were noisy.

Myself and my partner stayed for 4 days, beautiful location and beautiful ship. However, when on the deck the staff are not helpful. We couldn’t pay via their app so we were sat around waiting for a very long time for someone to take our order as we couldn’t pay at the bar, customer service was not the best. Some staff were very lovely and then some were not helpful. Again, very very beautiful ship and EXCEPTIONALLY clean but the air con was rubbish and windows do not open! It got very warm in the room.

Very special and historic place to stay. Parking was easy, as was the access to the ship. If your accomodation is on starboard (righthand side) of the ship, then you'll be facing what looks like a scrap metal recycling/processing site. Not a problem, just visually not very appealing. Room and beds were good. What was disappointing is that the areas of the ship that are accessible to hotel guests are very limited. There is a guided and self-guided tour, but for additional money and at set times. It would have been nice (and actually expected) if this would be offered to hotel guests as part of their stay. After all, the only reason for booking a room on a historic ship is to be able to explore it.

It's a legendary ship. What you get to see is fabulous but disappointed at how much is out of bounds, some of which you can see if you pay extra for an audiotour. Worth spending one or two nights to see it but I'd holiday elsewhere

The room was good and clean. Parking was easy. Ship is beautiful. Great option is the watertaxi. But the staff is unfortunatly not really good. The girl who checkt us in had gum in her mouth, when I checked out she made a mistake in what I had to pay. From the 4 or 5 horeca there were just 2 open.

SS Rotterdam looks better on internet. At arrival you can only visit the vessel by buying an additional voucher. No diner possible fully booked at 11.00 in the morning. Steak-cheese sandwich was without steak and poor quality for the price. Paied almost 200 euro for a room with breakfast with no working aico. For once and never again.

The ship is beautiful inside and out and the promenade deck is stunning for a drink and sone snacks. Service amazing. Pool only for kids, this is not clear at point of booking. The main issue is the beds, although the mattress was comfy it appeared to be placed on an old sofa cushion above the bed base. Very strange. Would deffo visit again if they improved the beds.

The experience of living in an hotel in a boat was pretty unique! I love the idea of using the boat as it's meant to be even though you're not travelling anywhere
