I writing about my current holiday at your hotel. The building and room were beautiful however that is not enough. Thursday night a loud sounding noise woke us up three times. We thought it was an emergency alarm but discovered it was the heating unit. We had to turn the heat off to deal w the issue. The next day we called and someone came up to service the unit. Once again Saturday night the same issue. Once again, interruptedsleep in a very cold room.
Long lines every day because all the elevators were not functioning.

I was in Philadelphia to spend the holiday with my sister.

Service was really top notch. For the modest resort amenity fee, you actually get value. That is rare.

The tv service wasn't good and there was only the desk chair in the room.. Outside of those issues it was a good trip. The location is excellent for shopping and dining.

Our stay was basically fine, but there were a few disappointing issues. There was no door stop/chain/blocker on the door so staff member was able to walk in on us with unexpected delivery… it was disturbing… No in-room coffee and lobby coffee wasn’t hot. No more in-room bathrobes.
BUT. the room was clean and quiet. So that was good.

Went for breakfast 9.15 am sunday with prepaid breakfast and asked if we had a reservation. No one said you needed a reservation
Told they are booked out. No other option given such as we can bring it to your room.
Unbelievable way to treat paying guests

It was a pleasant stay. I was in town for a concert and left early in the morning so I didn't get the most out of my visit. I'd definitely stay again.

There is no better place to stay in Center City! I'll be back :)

Beautiful hotel with friendly staff. Nicely appointed rooms with comfortable beds and nice sized rooms for Philly!

The Kimpton Palomar is a very nice hotel in the middle of center city. For us close to where my son lives. The area is walkable to dining, shopping and public transportation. It is close to many of the tourist areas if that’s what you want to do.
The hotel was clean overall. The staff was kind and took care of our requests.
Cons: I wish parking wasn’t so expensive and there wasn’t a resort fee. I’m not sure why that is even a thing. A microwave in the room would have helped for the leftovers from the great restaurants we went to.
The breakfast at the hotel was good, reasonably priced. Overall our stay was great. We appreciate the staff.

Other than opening the bed to take a nap and finding blood stained sheets, I enjoyed my stay. Staff quickly changed my bedding with brand new sheets. Comfy stay overall with a nice street view of Philadelphia.

Enjoyed the aroma the happy hour the package for the kids and overall friendliness. Service was wonderful. Wish the rooms were a little larger but it was perfect for a weekend getaway.

The hotel was nice, front desk was nice, hallway to the elevator was rather dark but hallway to the room was well lit. Coffee was served in the lobby but there was not cream, another guest told me that someone went to get it. After waiting for about 10 minutes, I gave up and didn't take the coffee. The food was not the greatest. We went to breakfast and the hostess put us at a table near the door and near a table with a screaming child. We asked to move to another table and she told us they were reserved. When we left, the place was still empty.

Nice room, nice staff. Price higher vs the booking price but that was solved smoothly. Nice free coffee and free wine at the happy hour. Perfect location, expensive parking but that you know in every big US city.

I had a nice stay in this hotel. I would not change anything.

It is very close to the city hall and major attractions, that is a plus. However, the checkin and checkout process is quite slow. The staff are not very sympathetic when I lost my stuff in the lobby, they simply asked me to go to an online website to look for it. The held charge for incidentals has not been refunded promptly and I have to call about it.

Not worth the expense since price tag.

The hotel beds are great and the location was central to everything we visited. Philadelphia was the last stop on our New York, Boston, Philly trip. The experience was ok but a little off the mark from the other cities. This was no different at our hotel. It just seams to be the Philly way.

The overall cleanliness of the hotel could be improved. There was a distinct smell in the halls that was unpleasant. 2/4 of the elevators were also not operating, which made it difficult to get to the room at times. The technology in the room needs to be updated (speakers/alarm clock etc.) At least an option to watch Netflix would be great, and LED mirrors for the bathroom could really elevate the experience. This is probably the most out of date Kimpton I’ve seen in a while. The restaurant attached was great, and when u did need anything the front desk was very helpful.

Our room while nice, backed up to two elevators which ran all night, vibrating through the walls.
We didn’t think the bar met the Kimpton standard, drinks were okay.

The hotel was very lovely and accommodating. The amenities online claim there is parking, that is false. There is only valet which is almost $70 a day. Just something to be mindful of. There are parking garages in the area.

I have visited this hotel for 10 years. During this visit, the AC in the front lobby felt like it was non-functional during a heat wave. I had forgotten a cell phone charger and though there is a sign in the bathroom stating that forgotten items can be borrowed at front desk, I was told there were no charging cords. When an unexpected rain storm came and I asked the front desk to borrow an umbrella, I was given what I found to be a broken umbrella once I went outside and was told to make sure to return it or I would be charged either or $30 or $40 fee (I don't remember which figure is correct). Finally the most disappointing part of the visit and the main reason that I have kept returning to this property--the King Spa room had a spa with a broken tub drain stopper. So while I was able to fill the tub, when it was time to drain it, the knob on the side of tub did not work so I had to try to get my nails under the drain stopper and pry it up to let the tub drain. Upon checking out of the hotel the following day, I reported the issue and was told that staff are aware of the problem and the issue is that the tubs are older and the company that made them and had parts for them is out of business. This information should have been shared at time of booking or at the very least upon check in and a tool to pry up the drain plug should have been provided. Either way, this is not what I expect from Hotel Palomar. This hotel truly needs some maintenance.

It’s giving Marriott or Holiday Inn. I used to love Kimpton Hotels, it was brand I thought I could trust for luxury. After IHG purchased, I’m noticing a decline, and this is the worst Kimpton I’ve ever booked.
