The Inn is an ancient monument, sadly in need of refurbishment. Clearly the cleaner had made a tremendous effort to optimise the cleanliness in the room... the carpets are well past their sell-by date, wall-paper peeling, lino lifting, holes in plaster and a somewhat nasty smell in the reception area. Having said that the kitchen looked clean and so I ate breakfast which was very nice. What tipped the balance was the lumpy bed. It would also have been nice to know that it is a thumping live music venue, as I wouldn't have booked it had I known.

Really friendly staff. Amazing food and a cozy comfortable room. Will use again.
Many thanks

I was sadly very disappointed, the hotel is tatting and needs some basic cleaning and painting.
Positives: the bed was comfortable, it was quiet and the shower was a good pressure and hot.
Negatives: the dust on the heater in the room was thick, mould in the bathroom with peeling paint, services at breakfast was awful meaning I missed out on a cooked breakfast as I was ignored for over 20mins and was required to leave for my work meeting.
I would have raised these issues but reception was unmanned when I left.

It was simple easy and clean plus will be staying over in the future.

A very nice stay at a very old hotel parts of which date back to1555 wonderful staff well worth a visit
4.4
Very quirky 1500’s property. Needed a bit of an upgrade. Carpets throughout could do with a clean. Breakfast was lovely & cooked fresh. A good place to stay for a couple of nights for the price
4.4
room was dark and everything old looking, shower was rubbish with mould on tiles - wouldn't recommend or stay again
4.4
Historic building, so low ceilings and sloping floors which adds to the character. Good breakfast both hot and cold. No parking on-site, but on-street parking nearby.
TV in room not very good. Only ever given sparkling water in room, had to go and swap it out for still at the bar every evening

Loved the area and the history of the hotel

Pleasant stay lovely staff good room. Good breakfast choices cooked to order

Incredible, ancient building with wonky floors and head-cracking beams and an incredible oak clad dining room in this olde royalist town. Full of character.
Friendly and helpful staff and a great bath.
My only criticism would be the single bed l was in was very small and l didn’t sleep much as l was scared of falling out.

UNFORTUNATELY we had the room at the rear of the Inn .overlooking the Beer Garden
We understand with the Hot evening s people came out to enjoy. However the noise was still going on till 12.20pm .so we could not get any sleep

Stayed for one night in a spotlessly clean modern bedroom in this very old hotel. The only things that let it down were lack of private parking, a very small en-suite and no hand soap.
4.4
The property was interesting it was so old it had lots of character which we love the room was warm and cosy and the food was excellent
4.4
A lovely old property although I wouldn’t call it 4 star as there are bits and pieces around the room that need attending to such as old carpet, peeling lino on the bathroom floor and a shower head that misses your body in the shower and hits the shower wall despite trying to adjust it. Traffic could be noisy outside the window and as there are traffic lights there, if someone is playing loud music or has a barking dog (which was he case for us) it’s quite intrusive while that car is waiting for quite some time at the lights. A room at the back may be better. Regardless, we would stay again due to price, friendly & helpful staff and a decent breakfast.

Great atmosphere friendly people great food

Quirky old house. Low ceilings in the old part of the house so tell when booking if you are tall. Food was fabulous and staff were lovely. Would stay again

This is a great historic 16th century pub/inn and it really shows if you get a room in the old part of the building! not a straight line to be found, low doors, sloping floors, ancient timbers - great !
Landlord very welcoming and informative on the history of the buildng. Veggie breakfast excellent !

Very amiable, beautiful old building, friendly bar, very close on foot to everything in Ledbury

It was a 15 century town and building so it was very quirky, but it was very nice the staff were brilliant thank you

I would stay again, but would ask for a room away from the pub. My room was directly over the bar and was very noisy until 12midnight.
4.4
Ancient quirky building with low Timbered beams and a lovely Breakfast room with a lot of history!

We have a nice relaxing stay, room was spotless and very comfortable. Food was excellent, staff very friendly

Visited with a group of cyclists. The staff were friendly welcoming and helpful. Happy for us to leave our bags in a room whle we explored this lovely old town. Secure cycle parking provided. Comfortable beds in quirky old building. Our floor was very wonky due to the age! Clean. Food plentiful and good breakfast choices. Excellent value and I’d certainly book again if visiting the area.

I love old properties and was surprised at the high standard of the bedroom (clean and tastefully furnished), in that the downstairs area were "tired" and needed updating.
Pity there is no on-site parking!
4.4
Nothing to complain about which is always good. Staff friendly and helpful. Great town centre location. Easy off site parking for £7 (24hours) a minutes walk away. Room was immaculate. Bathroom small but functional.

Nice big room, massive bed, good food and beer, helpful friendly and professional staff.

Two night business trip. Knew it would be old inside due to its century of build and steeped in history. Bar service was good but breakfast service was slow and frustrating. Lovely town and setting.

One of the best hotels i have stayed in. From check in to check out it was a very nice experience. Friendly staff comfortable rooms. Great breakfast included

Accommodation conveniently located central to town, room clean and tidy. Responsive friendly staff.

An historic 16th century Inn. Uneven floors and low ceilings just added to the character of the place. Warm and comfortable and very clean. Staff and food both first rate.

The hotel is in a good location. The rooms and en suites were a good size. We were pleased with all the facilities. Breakfast was also very good. The car park (£6/24hrs) was within short ( 1-2 minutes) walking distance via a cut through. We were pleased with our stay with the exception of the evening meal which was very poor. The chipolata sausages for sharing were pale and tasteless. This was made worse as they were submerged in oil soaked breadcrumbs. The chicken was plain but OK but the so called cassoulet on which it sat was very poor. Cassoulet is one of my favourite dishes but this was not really a cassoulet. It had a strange bland taste with very small hard pieces which were certainly not Toulouse sausage. The waiter was the really likeable and although we told him about the food we did not feel we wanted to spoil our evening by detailing just how bad it was.
