Best buffet. We ate til our hearts content. The bathroom is very outdated and small so our family used the onsen daily, it had a wonderful view anyways.
The hotel is Very remote and difficult to get to, but well worth it.

My friends and I visited Hakone for the first time and stayed here for a night. We were very happy at the end of the stay. We weren't expecting the buffet dinner and breakfast to be included. The onsen was great, couldn't see Mount Fuji from it but got a good view from our room. Overall a pleasant stay

Overall good. Wish the lounge was open to eat since it is so remote.

We enjoyed staying at this place. The lobby was clean and felt comfortable sitting in the chair before checking in. Also providing coffee for free was a nice service.
We were satisfied with the dinner and breakfast because almost all the foods provided were well prepared and very delicious.
We would like to visit this hotel again in the future.
Thank you all the staff members for your great hospitality!

Neat and tidy but dated

Our western style room was specious and clean. Japanese style breakfast and dinner with many choices is a must to try.
Hotel provide shuttle services to nearby bus stop and Ubako ropeway station. We enjoy our stay very much in this hotel

it's all perfect. Except the weather is hard to predict.

Wonderful half-board in a Japanese style room. A bit difficult to get in and out for first timers, others than that it was great.

Well situated to see Mt Fuji! Great food, spa and rooms were comfortable

Excellent location and quite nice area. Very enjoyable stay. Rooms a bit outdated which was not a big deal to me.

Loved the Japanese style room. Breakfast and dinner buffet had a lot of dishes to offer. Loved that the ubako station is a short quick walk away. Very convenient for riding the tram either up to the volcanic area and then on to other sites or down to the ship and bus.

It was an amazing stay! It is tough to get to from Tokyo but they have a 3 day pass that lets you on all the buses, trains, sky lifts and boats that it is seriously worth it. The buffet here is a 10/10 and the robes are amazing. The onset is clean and friendly overall a great atmosphere.

It was my first onsen experience and it was nice, warm and relaxing. But I do not have other onsen places to compare to. It was a very foggy day and I cannot see the beautiful scenery outside. The buffet dinner and breakfast have a lot of variety of food and very good overall.

The view of Mt Fuji was stunning. The staff were friendly and helpful. A variety of food at both the breakfast and dinner buffets. The onsen was relaxing.

Good in all areas, wide variety of food for dinner and breakfast. Good size for onsen.

nd dinner was included which was wonderful. We had a lovely time enjoying a traditional Japanese room which was very comfortable. The onsen was a lovely experience. The hotel had a resort feel to it. We enjoyed ourselves very much. Would definitely come again.

Beautiful location with amazing view of Mount Fuji. Really nice to get away from the busy city and nearby cable car ride to the lakes. The outdoor spa was lovely too. Food at hotel wasn’t great and hotel is antiquated but maybe part of its charm.

Hotel room was clean and spacious. We chose the traditional tatami-styled. Loved it! We had a lovely view of Mt Fuji. The service staff was efficient and courteous. Hotel was easily accessible within a 5 min walk from back of Ubago Station but through uneven terrain. Our only comment is the food quality.

We really enjoyed our time here and people were very helpful. The only issue was that it was a bit confusing to get to the hotel and although there is a shuttle advertised it’s only down the street to the bus station. If we hadn’t called in advance we would not have been informed of how far the shuttle went. They also have some confusing spa and massage therapy information. Their hot springs and food were amazing, though. Really enjoyed our stay.

Onsen experience was great, also liked using body creams and lotions provided at the onsen. Food at the buffet restaurant was good. Room was quiet and beds were comfortable. Massage therapist was very good as well.

Staffs were excellent and the level of service was the best I ever experienced. (I am a world traveler). Mt. Fuji view from the outdoor onsen was exceptional. Dining option was good enough for a couple of days. Traveling with Hakone region is a bit cumbersome since the ropeway stops at. The bus stop is Onsenso where the hotel provides a shuttle service to and from. Make sure to have a bus schedule ready. We spend more time on waiting for the bus or train. Onsen is old and outdated but functional. The room requires a significant update. Our group spent very little time in the room, so it was ok. Garden view from the room was great. We chose a Tadami room for an experience, but the Tadami mats were too heavy to fold and unfold every day. We just left it out during entire stay. Bathroom was tiny, but there were many public bathrooms in the building. We end up using a public bathroom in the building and washed at Onsen. Overall, for the price we paid, it was a great stay. I enjoyed all staffs at the facility. They were so helpful and pleasant. For that, I will come back to the Green Plaza Hotel if I visit Hokane again.

We liked that we can see the mount Fuji from our room and the hot spring. The view is amazing. Also, we liked that we have options to have dinner and breakfast since there is nothing around in the immediate area unless you want to take a bus or gondolas to other areas.

Great Ibsen hotel. We got Mt Fuji view room which is a big bonus.

We loved the location of the property. We booked a room with a private bath on the patio - and couldn't have been happier. The view of Mt. Fuji from the bath/patio was AMAZING. Our room was quiet, clean and comfortable. The included dinner was extraordinary and service was excellent. We felt like we were in our own quiet little oasis in the evening after the ropeway shuts down. Wish we would have stayed longer.

An amazing experience of ryokan and onsen in the hotel! We really had a blast and had the chance to experience a private onsen in our room too. Food for dinner and breakfast was quite decent.

Happy with our stay at this hotel even though the hotel itself is a little old since. Overall service is good and efficient. We were lucky with weather and could see Mt Fuji from the open hot spring. Excellent view indeed and worth getting up early to enjoy the hot spring.

It was a good experience. Onsen was clean and traditional. The only con is I wish they had more restaurant options than the buffet or that the buffet wasn't the same everyday. Otherwise, I would visit again.

The hotel has a great potential, location is good once once you are there but arriving to the Hotel is terrible. The free shuttle wasn’t running when we arrived to gondola station and we needed to walk in the middle of an icy road carring our luggage, the most incredible thing is the staff didn’t really care when we got to the reception. The hotel installations are quite old and you have issues with mold all over the place, the corridor had a basket on the floor to colect dropping water from the ceilings, our bathroom was smelling really bad probably due to some sewage leak behind the toilet. The onsen was OK, just like others in the same category, however the views of the Mount Fuji are not that great as you need to stand up and take you body out of the onsen waters to see the it. Also, it is a quite lateral and partial view. So don’t expect great things here. The food was OK and restaurant staff was friendly and helpful. I felt that the food standards were also a bit low compared to other places we stayed in Japan. The worst part was the reception staff, they don’t know how to cater for international guests and they are not willing to help in your way in and out of the hotel if you are not driving your own car. So here is my recommendation, DON’T stay here if you are planning to use Hakone’s public transportation to get hotel. We actually lost 1:30 hours of our itinerary on the way out because they didn’t want to run the shuttle bus 5 minutes earlier to take us to a bus sta

Good and bad experiences here. The best experience was the water quality in the hot spring. Unfortunately we couldn’t see Mt. Fuji from the outdoor tub due to cloudy weather but our skin got so smooth after the bathing. I bought a water cream that they produce there with their water. The location was good and bad. It was a short walking distance to Ubako rope way station. It is the best location if you want to visit Owakudani. However, the hotel is in the mountain. Absolutely nothing around there. We planned to have dinner at a near by restaurant but we ended up with adding the dinner charge to the room and the room rate got expensive after all. Dinner was good buffet style. We stayed in the standard western room. The beds were the worst quality ever! So old and springs were so hard. Our backs were hurting and we couldn’t sleep all night! I slept on the sofa. When I moved sheets to the sofa, I saw tears and rips on the mattress.
Conclusion, I would love to go back for the day use for the hot spring but I will never stay in this hotel unless they buy new comfortable mattresses.

I didn't use the onsen and not sure whether I can see this view. The room is clean, spacious but quite old.
