Easily one of the best decisions I made on the trip. Excellent car service from the airport. The owner/manager does an outstanding job making guests feel welcomed to the B&B and Ollantaytambo. Picaflor Tambo was a rustic, placid experience. It has wonderful charm. I'm so glad I booked here!!

The location was excellent. We’ve been to Ollantaytambo and like the location. The staff was helpful and friendly. The breakfast was good and the best aspect was the cleanliness.

Really great location a block or two off the main square. The owner is extremely helpful and friendly and gave us tips such as how much a taxi should cost to the train station. We took a tuk tuk to the station to Machu Picchu the next morning. Room was large and bathroom large.

Wow, what a little gem right in the heart of Ollantaytambo! Our room was up on the second level with a view of the ruins and slept to the sound of the Inca made canal. The place was clean, beautiful and great staff and breakfast. It was also very cheap. 10/10 .. amazing place!

The place itself is very charming. Bedrooms are spacious and had everything we needed, a comfy bed, hot shower and the sound of water running outside just made it more special. Antonio is great. Very helpful and nice. We had to leave early the next day and missed the breakfast. Antonio was kind enough to pack our breakfast to go. Would stay there again and would recommend to my friends.

Was a fabulous place to stay. Just far enough from Plaza to walk but quiet location. Walkway to Granaries entrance opposite accommodation. Breakfast was fresh, incl eggs to order. Bed very comfy, shower hot and very welcoming hosts. Only too happy to help with information and ongoing travel tips.

We stayed at B&B Picaflor Tambo for 1 night before travelling on to Machu Picchu. Out of a 3-week trip in Ecuador and Peru, with 8 different accommodations, which were all good, this was my husband's favourite stay.
The staff were welcoming and helpful, giving us dining suggestions. The inn and our room were cosy and quaint, with a decor of beautiful local art and handicrafts. The bed was comfortable, and there were warm covers. We had a water jug which we could refill with purified water--something that was not provided at any of our other accommodations in Peru. We had no issues with the shower or the wifi, as a few other reviewers have had. (I suspect some reviewers may not be familiar with tankless hot-water heating. We also have this at home, and it can take a little bit longer for the water to get hot, especially on upper floors.)
Although we didn't use it, several varieties of tea, including coca tea, were available in our room.
Breakfast was delicious, and we loved the charming breakfast room.
Our room had a view of ruins and the aquaduct. We loved staying in the midst of Incan history.
Our experience here was brief, but pleasant and comfortable. We would definitely stay here again, if we are ever back in the area.

Charming little place in the amazing historic part of town, on cobblestone alleys with views of Inca ruins. Would definitely recommend this place for an overnight in Ollantaytambo.

Great stay here. Antonio was off the charts helpful and was a wonderful host.
Clean and quiet boutique hotel away from noise. Very clean and a great breakfast.
We really enjoyed Ollantaytambo it's the prefect place to step off to see Machu Picchu and the sacred valley. When you get to Cusco, just get in a cab and go here.

Walkable distance to the Ollantaytambo ruins and the square. Our room has the view of the ruin and next to the creek. It’s a good size room with a comfortable double bed; standard bathroom. We enjoyed our stay. The staffs were helpful with recommendations of restaurants and sightseeing.

We decided to have a night in lovely Ollantaytambo before leaving for Aguas Calientes and Machu Picchu the next day. We couldn’t have chosen a more authentic and nicer little place. We were greated at the door by a lovely woman who helped us with everything from the best restaurants in town to hikes in the surrounding mountains. The hotel is very small, but this is the charm of it. Great service and great place! In the breakfast room there is one long table that fits 7 people, the breakfast is simple but tastes good. The same lady that greated us when we checked in made eggs for us in the morning. Would recommend for both couples, friends and families.

It was over all very pleasant. First night, we endured 8 hours of music from next door and it was beyond hotel control. Staff moved us to another room to accommodate us. Food and service is excellent.

The couple owning the hotel was very warm, friendly, and super helpful. Delightful little hotel in a nice, quiet area of Ollantaytambo, and super close to the entrance of one of the ruins.

Very sweet hotel. Nice ambiance and staff, room and bathroom were of good size, breakfast was nice. Location is great and fell asleep to the pleasant sounds of a babbling brook.

We booked this property with the impression that it was a small hotel.
It is indeed a Guesthouse.
All rooms open onto a central courtyard and have large windows at the front, in view of the balcony and walkway.
The curtains do cover the whole of the windows but are a little see through.
Rooms are very basic with only beds, bedside tables and private ensuites.
There are no TV's on the property at all.
Given that sitting down outside the guesthouse anywhere usually involves eating and/or drinking, it is difficult to relax
at the guesthouse and stare at a blank wall.
On the upside, Breakfast is nice and you may get a chance to meet and talk with other guests.

Staff was great, convenient location.

The staff is incredibly nice and helpful. We got in late and were very tired, but they took such good care of us and made us a delicious local breakfast in the morning. It is also a five minute walk right across the street to see ruins. I would definitely recommend this place for anyone to stay at. Whether passing through or staying for a while, Picaflor is a great spot, with the nicest staff we've encountered. Gracias por todo!
