Lovely property in a quiet and relaxing area. Great starting point if going through the Ring of Kerry. Also a great spot to access lesser known parts. Irma was a great host and I highly recommend this BnB!

The property is very well located to access the Dingle Peninsula, The ring of Kerry and Killarney. We arrived in Ireland via Rosslare and the drive over is relatively easy and quick using N72. You will receive a very warm welcome and your room will be clean and the bed comfortable. Our room had a lovely view over Dingle. There is a choice of breakfast starting with 'help yourself' cereals and juices. There is then a choice of a traditional cooked breakfast, salmon and scrambled eggs and a more basic 'vegetarian' option. The salmon was excellent, portions generous and whilst the 'cooked' breakfast was nice and fresh I think I might have expected some produce that was more obviously 'local' and 'artisan'. Ireland has some great bacon and sausage and I don't think that this was it...I could be wrong (hands up). It's the only improvement I would suggest...if it's properly local say it...I am middle class aren't I!. We received lots of very helpful advice both about local restaurants...the golf club has wonderful views and OK pub like food...and about travel around Kerry and Dingle especially about avoiding the tourist buses!! This is a great place to stay overall...genuinely I recommend it for your stay in the far South West.

Irma is a very nice hostess and the accomodation is at a beautiful and quiet location. Room with a view. Shower was all right for me. nice breakfast room. No luxury at all, dated '80 and a small room. Twin room, no privacy because guests pass close at your big window and - off course - look into your room. Had to close the curtains. You can hear the guests and the floor above clearly. Brochures in the room from years ago. Breakfast from 8.30, not earlier. Simple breakfast. No choise for cheese, yoghurt, fresh fruit etc. only if you ask for it.
Maybe I am spoilt with Irish Farm B&B. Everything home made there, bread, marmalade, scones, pancakes, fresh fruit salad, fresh pressed orange juice, local cheeses etc.

Excellent service.The human touch.

I really enjoyed my stay. Irma the landlady was very welcoming, and her help with where to go and how to get there each day, was invaluable. Breakfast was good.

Great location. Irma was friendly and extremely helpful with getting around the area or restaurant to visit. Room was great and breakfast was fantastic.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Fern Rock. The accommodations were comfortable and clean. The breakfasts were delicious. Irma was delightful - friendly and accommodating. Each day she shared helpful suggestions for our day trips. Great place to stay.

Clean & comfortable B&B. Breakfast was delicious. Irma, the hostess, was darling. She had great suggestions for dining in town & places nearby to visit. Each morning she asked her guests where they were planning to visit, then she showed them on the map the best route to take & interesting points along the way.

Comfortable, impeccably clean bed and breakfast close to the route of the Ring of Kerry, Killarney and Killorglin. The owner is friendly and knowledgeable and offers ideas about how best to spend the day, depending on what you'd like to do and, of course, the weather. The breakfast is excellent and choices of cooked breakfast are offered as well as cereals, toast, etc. Guests also have access to complementary tea, coffee and biscuits and also a lounge, so once back at the property you don't have to stay only in your room. There is ample parking for guests. I would strongly recommend this property if you are looking to stay somewhere quiet and also if it is your first time in the area and would benefit from guidance on how to make the most of your time there.

We stayed for 4 days at Fern Rock. Irma and her husband were very friendly. Helped us in every way they can. Room is very clean and serviced every day. Breakfast is very nice, too.

Loved the entire stay

Although the bathroom was not up to date, like having a sink with separate hot and cold water faucets instead of a single faucet that mixes the hot and cold water, the bathroom was otherwise acceptable.
Other that this the hostess was customer friendly and cooked a good breakfast for us, and gave us some helpful suggestions on our sightseeing that day.

It was exactly as expected and simple.
Would have preferred larger than single bed beside window on ground floor but fine and modest. Ex large breakfast & hot water. All good.

Wonderful clean place and hospitality. We enjoyed the surroundings and location.
Thanks!

Dinner at the golf course up the road a wonderful suggestion by owner. View was spectacular.
Excellent full breakfast if you like.

Beautiful grounds, nice big clean rooms and wonderful host.

The Fern Rock is comfortable and clean, and has a pleasant view of the mountains. The proprietress is very warm and helpful. In spite of our short stay, we both took a real liking to her.

Irma could not have been more friendly, helpful, and accommodating. Lovely breakfast each morning, tended to the room daily, arranged whatever we needed to have happen, offered suggestions, drew maps, and was altogether delightful. Thank you for a lovely stay!

Great views - very peaceful & relaxing - perfect service and Irma was really friendly & welcoming.

Lovely b&b. Close to Killarney and ring. Owner prefers cash versus credit card which may not be on the booking site. We were able to withdraw from bank atm using debit card at nearby bank no problem. Although another couple of b&b’s had similar preferences and not noted on the booking site, so that may be becoming more common. Doesn’t hurt to verify with owner via email beforehand.

We stayed two nights. Couple who owned the B & B were very friendly and went out of their way to ensure we enjoyed our time there. Gave good advise on best attractions to visit and local restaurants/pubs to eat. Room was comfortable and quiet. Full Irish breakfast provided.

though a little out of town (2/3 mins by car) a very pleasant rural setting - we were unwell when we stayed and the hosts did everything they could to help. would recommend staying here if you have a vehicle.

Overall our experience was good. Our hostess was not around when we arrived, was checked in by her husband, who seemed pretty laid back. Irma came to introduce herself while we were watching tv in the common area. She is a terrific, friendly lady that does her best to see that your travels are enjoyable. Once she sees that you're about done with breakfast, she comes by to suggest a route for the day and places to see, things to do. Same thing with the morning your're leaving....she suggests the best route and anything along the way.
The bedroom seemed a bit dated, but it was clean and very comfortable.
