We had a lovely comfortable 3 night stay at Audrey’s amazing B&B. Very attentive and welcoming. Fabulous breakfast. Definitely a B&B to recommend if in the area

Fascinating memorabilia and beautiful antiques in striking dining/living room - vestibule doubles as a pub ( very handy) whilst local inn is closed. Interesting tales from landlady Audrey who makes a delicious and elegant breakfast served on beautiful Royal Albert Old Country Rose crockery.

it has a certain period charm

Audrey was very welcoming and the room was spotless and breakfast spot on

Excellent stay - room a bit on the small side but to be expected in a building of this age, spotlessly clean. Owner very friendly and helpful in every way. Superb breakfast fresh fruit nothing out of a tin and full English cooked to perfection.

A visit to Thursford for the Christmas spectacular. We arrived early but were welcomed in and shown to a very clean and well presented room. Breakfast for the two days of our stay was excellent.

Only issue we found was the lady hasn't been vaccinated as does not agree with it.
I am surprised as many people are coming into her establishment. I work for the NHS and was quite shocked. If l had known this beforehand l would not have stayed here.
B&B was lovely. Very quirky. Lovely female touches.
Warm and comfy.
Lovely breakfast.

The whole place was so warm and welcoming with antiques in every corner. The bed was comfortable with a amazing duvet that wrapped you up in a warm embrace. The breakfasts was vast and of a high standard. Amazing stay, thank you

Our room was lovely. Big beautiful bed, ensuite bathroom with a separate shower. Fresh milk in the little 1/2 pint bottles. Very warm room. And even though you are on the main road threw the village it was very quiet. Pub next door and a fish and chip shop 150 yards away.

Beautiful little cottage with a very friendly host, breakfast was amazing. Very quite and everything in the room was well thought out. Fresh milk, tea and coffee. Bed was comfortable and you can come and go as you please as long as you lock the front door.

We were greeted by Audrey when we arrived around 6:40pm. We were in room 1 and it was like stepping back in time with antique furniture around the room, we were given a menu sheet and asked to fill in what we required for breakfast and asked what time we would like to eat. Breakfast was served in a room that can only be described as stunning. Breakfast was delicious and Audrey entertained us with stories of her life as a musician. Unfortunately Audrey is suffering with ill health at the moment but nothing was stopping her from continuing to look after her guests. A gem of a place and a gem of a lady.

We have just returned from a 2 night stay and Audrey could not have made us more welcome. Very clean and comfortable room and an excellent breakfast. Quiet village location and an ideal base from which to explore the North Norfolk coastline. Would definitely stay again. Kevin & Karen from Essex

We were met by the owner Audrey who is a lady of great character with an interesting history. She has a home which is bedecked with vintage memorabilia & breakfast was serenaded by the likes of Glenn Miller. We had a room with king sized bed which was very comfortable & the en-suite clean & well equipped with large jacuzzi bath as well as a free standing shower cubicle. Breakfast was satisfying with a good choice of food.

Great choices for breakfast, served on Royal Albert china with music playing which created a nice ambience.
Room was quite luxurious with plenty of pillows etc.
Shower headroom was limited for my 6 foot husband though.

Comfortable accomodation, in a grade 2 listed building. The row of cottages of which this is part date back several hundred years. Sympathetically furnished but the bathroom was clean and modern. Fridge in the bedroom with fresh milk for tea and coffee, great to keep the wine cool. Lovely breakfast including the black pudding I was hoping for. Had to say what time and order the breakfast the night before but it meant it was served very quickly and piping hot. And there's a real ale pub serving food next door. What more could you want?

Fairly average, bed way too soft.

The property doesn’t look much from outside but it’s in a top order inside.
Audrey’s attention to detail is unbeatable. The breakfast was amazing. We would definitely recommend to our friends and family.

What an amazing venue for a relaxing trip away. Set in a quiet village 15 mins from the sea and 1 minute from lovely country walks!Melody House is a step back in time, but not detracting from the comfort of the facilities, the quality of service and the lovely and interesting owner who does everything! You have to stay at Melody House at least once in your lifetime!!

We stayed for one night, and wished that we could have stayed longer. The room was lovely, and the bed super comfortable. Breakfast was served in a lovely room and was extremely good. We will definately go again if we are in the area.

Nice room, with proper glasses and a little fridge. Decent-sized bathroom. All clean.

An amazing stay at Melody House, lovely decor, spotlessly clean and very welcoming. Nice room with a comfy bed, fudge, shortcake and everything you need, even a little fridge. We forgot to fill out the breakfast menu but were reminded by a late tap on our door from the host, with an apology for disturbing us, but we were the ones apologising as can only imagine how much organising that goes into running the B & B so smoothly and totally on her own at the moment!! The breakfast was gorgeous, with the tables beautifully laid, lovely fresh fruit salad and the 'best ever' cooked breakfast according to my partner and we stay over at a lot of places!! Have already decided to rebook for September for a few nights this time as it is also in a nice location, close to many 'must visit' villages and places of interest. Thank you to the warm, friendly and chatty host xx
