Superb location - great service - charming rooms

The Admiral's Inn and Gunpowder Suites provided an unforgettable start to our honeymoon in Antigua. The customer service was exceptional—warm, attentive, and incredibly accommodating. The property itself was charming and impeccably maintained, offering a perfect blend of comfort and elegance. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to begin our journey. Highly recommended!

An incredible property. So many restaurants and bars in walking distance. The 18th century buildings are amazing and so unique. The staff has been wonderful. They made our bad situation of being stuck without a flight for a few nights an adventure to remember. If we come back to Antigua this is exactly where we will go!

The property is lovely. The staff is very accommodating. I would recommend staying in the garden stuites. The restaurants are good and offer vegan options. The bartender Reggie offered delicious drinks and Shama the asst mgr arranged a changing room after we checked out in order to swim and have lunch while waiting for our next boat accommodations on another property a few hours later. I would stay again.

The online pictures don't do it justice to just how beautiful Admiral's Inn and Gunpowder Suites are. The buildings are late 1700's and early 1800's. It was such a cool step back in time! There are several (at least 15) places to walk to and get different foods (Italian, Carribean, Seafood and more). The best restaurant hands down was Pillars at Admiral's Inn. Lunch at Boom (Gunpowder suites pool) was good also. We stayed on the Gunpowder side for 4 nights. After two nights we asked to be moved to a pool view room. They accommodated us mid-day even though they would have to re-clean our current room. Thank you, Admiral's Inn. We will be back!

We had a lovely, relaxing time at the Admiral's Inn. We loved staying in the historic district! Thoroughly enjoyed interacting with the staff members, particularly Reggie behind the bar. What a personable and interesting man!

I would say a big Thank you! to Shama(Mgr),Cecile,I believe her name is tamara. It wasn’t a pleasure trip, we were at a funeral and Shama, hospitality is on a different level. She checks in with me and my sister to see how everything is going. The staff is great! It starts with great leadership. Upgraded of the rooms is needed, I wish I can take Shama, with me to work in my company! Great job everyone!

Fabulous setting in English Harbour. Amazing restaurants are within walking distance. I would definitely stay here again. Boom restaurant serves excellent food.

Beautiful location, wonderful history and surroundings. Plenty of choice of restaurants and bars to walk out to. Staff in Boom restaurant, particularly Shareen were lovely however staff in Pillars blew hot and cold so tended not to eat there. Room was rustic and spacious (loft3) but lacked insulation/ sound proofing, maybe due to age of building and restrictions but able to hear next door’s conversation and everything going on outside so awoken every morning early, owner did rectify some of the outside noise once bought to his attention but surrounding noise still a problem although it is a working dockyard so came down to our choice of room which although the largest was not the best for relaxing in.
Overall a lovely place, great atmosphere, would recommend.

Fab historical area. Mosie are about watch out

The harbour view superior room was very good but the windows leaked when it rained, even when closed. The staff were really great and the food at pillars restaurant excellent. We liked the proximity to the bars and restaurants around Falmouth harbour but guests should be aware this is not your typical sea and sand resort. This property is all about the historic feel, although Pigeon beach is a 15 min walk and there is a boat to take you to Galleon beach and the hotel’s small pool across the inlet.

We loved our stay and are looking forward to another visit.

This was our latest stay of many. We love the Inn. This year however we were very impacted by the noise from nearby Abracadabra until 3 am. We have complained by separate email. If possible we will now always request a room or cottage shielded from this noise until the authorities do something about it.

Beautiful setting for our week in Antigua. We stayed across the water in the Gunpowder Suites. Loved taking the boat back and forth for breakfast/dinners. Enjoyed being by the pool and Pillars restaurant for lunch. Only minor "complaint" was that service tended to be on "island time" (i.e. quite slow.) Other than that, really enjoyed our stay.

When we arrived at the property there was no one at the desk so we had to go down to the restaurant Boom near the reception to ask to check in. We were checked in and weren’t given our voucher for the Wifi we had to ask for it. Nor was the welcome drink offered we had to ask for it. The room was very clean and nicely decorated for Valentine’s Day however there was oddly no TV in the room. There were no robes as advertised in the booking. The staff were all very nice however and the rooms were clean and well taken care of. The breakfast ends at 10 AM so we got lucky showing up at 9:50 Am For then to still serve us breakfast. We had an OK time. I just recommend anyone staying here should wait for a good deal or stay at another hotel worth the price.

This is a lovely place to stay. The restaurant is outside (protective coverings) and the food was very good. The staff were friendly and helpful. The property is divided into two parts, separated by water; they have a water taxi shuttle that goes back & forth very frequently. The property is on the grounds of Nelson's Dockyard, so you're in the middle of an historical site. Really enjoyed my stay.

One of the best hotel experiences I've had in my life. I have traveled extensively around the world, and this hotel was perfect. Excellent quality and price. The staff was just amazing and our room was extremely clean and beautiful. I will definitely be going back in the next few years!

Step back into 18th century seafaring England and enjoy an important port in the West Indies! The historical preservation of historical structures with just enough modern comfort makes this a one of a kind place to stay!

Tranquil atmosphere, beautiful campus, excellent food & service. Definitely would recommend.

Very unique property in an old world setting. Need to be careful which room you get as some are real nice and a couple are not so good.

A certified UNESCO site that we got to sleep at. What an incredible adventure. We stayed in the loft and it was worth the extra to have the lovely sitting room that opened up right int the harbor. Highly recommend this place. And be sure to grab a table in front of the sea near the kitchen where you can watch the fish and sting rays hunt!

An extraordinary place to say, right amidst the amazing Nelson's Dockyard, yet offering all the facilities of a wonderful boutique hotel. The swimming pool was perfect, and the view from our cottage, over the water to the historic pillars, was exceptional. The cottage too was quietly superb, offering every comfort in an unstated way. A great, fun place to stay in an extraordinary setting.

Peaceful and quiet, no tv screens, beautiful setting, lovely staff, thank you

Everything was great - however the room I was given was on the top floor and the head room was very restricted on one side as the ceiling was very low. This meant I couldn’t fully utilise my room as I would had the ceiling been higher.Apart from that, the service, condition and stay has been very good!I would definitely come back but hopefully not the same room…
