If you like to fall asleep to people singing karaoke and slamming the doors. This is the accommodation for you. First of all it’s pretty hard to find since it looks more of an apartment building being changed into hotel rooms. Secondly, the room is quite small and the bed is not the most comfortable one. It’s also very very cold here in October. I’ve been freezing since I arrived and until check out. Lastly the worst part is absolutely the noice. From outside the street, from LOUD karaoke and the slamming of doors so you wake up and feels like someone is slamming your door. I can’t recommend staying here unfortunately

This place is not easy to find. Needs money spending on signage. Needs dramatic facelift. Needs money spent on plasterwork on balconies and in bedrooms. Really basic bedroom furniture. Staff very happy to help. No amenities in Residencial Giao except coffee machine which was out of coffee and broken 1 of the 2 days there. Cost should be less per day.

Nice place but too far from the city for the people who are going to do the Camino de Santiago.

The 2 receptionists were very friendly & especially helpful in obtaining transportation for me to Santiago. Even though they didn’t speak English & I didn’t speak Portuguese, they ensured that I understood what 5hey were telling me.
The property’s location was right in the centre of everything so I lucked out.
If I ever return to Valenca, I would stay there again.

My above ratings speak for themselves.
However, in addition, 2 front desk staff members went above & beyond in assisting me with matters unrelated to the property. Much appreciated.

The location was convenient to the Caminho and to the train station, but as such it was quite noisy, but from outdoor sound and from neighboring room sounds. The bed was not comfortable nor were the small pillows. Reception was not available until 3 pm, with no option to leave a bag stored either before or after one's stay.

I liked the location and the tranquility. Spacious room, good bathroom. Very friendly and welcoming staf. Good restaurants near the place with good food.

The hotel is located on the second floor of a residential apartment building, within around 100ft of Camino. The lady operating the business doesn’t speak much English, yet she is being very practical and understanding. We had a single room with 3 twin beds that was just the right size. Good bathroom, with strong flow of both hot and cold water. It had 3 towels and and toiletries. The lady operating the hotel helped us to do the laundry. The neighborhood seems to be fairly quite, it is just that we got unfortunate that the night we stayed at had the soccer finals till 2am, so the streets were insanely loud. Conclusion: decent and affordable place for Camino pilgrims.

The hotel has very basic facilities, however the best part of this hotel was the staff lady. She had the biggest heart of all, and tried her very best to help me out although obviously there was a huge communication problems (she did not speak any English and unfortunately I do not speak any Portuguese).
If you ever want to feel the Portuguese way of hospitality with the warmest heart, I'd definitely recommend this place.
