Great service from the entire team.

It was an amazing stay at the Golden Tulip ... very good stay, the restaurant was good, the breakfast was awesome, and the staff was the best! Very convenient location as well to go to CBD, Parklands, and other areas.

I stayed here for 4 days. Overall a good hotel with very comfortable and clean room. The room service to clean the room was really nice and did a good job daily. The front desk ladies during the day were not very friendly and few times I had asked them with directons or to help with Uber drivers (as I had one incident when the Uber driver didn't give me change) and they refused to help. However the guy in the evening was amazing and very helpful. He even helped to open my suitcase when I had lost the key. the hotel area is good and feels safe to walk around during the day. I wouldn't walk around at night especially if solo female. There is a shopping mall 5mins walk which had a supermarket and foodcourt. The breakfast in the hotel was very disappointing; I only ate once as had early start with tours but they did pack me fruits to take away when asked which was great. There was a pool upstairs but it was cold so never used it and it did look a bit run-down. They should consider cleaning or refurbishing it.

Hotel charged for second person inspite of i booked room for 2 adults. Its ridiculous. Staff urgues very rudely

Overall a terrible experience. The property is mediocre, the service bad and there are lots of hidden fees.
- bathroom was dirty when I arrived
- the "king" bed was two small beds put together
- they a very stingy with drinking water. Only two small bottles per day and they charge if you ask for more
- staff failed to follow through on services they agreed to
- they charge $40 if you want to bring a guest to the room
You'll be happier at one of the many other hotels in Westlands

terrible experience been there for 3 nights stay no house keeping and no air conditioning

Good location, safe and great staff, but the hotel is in need of updating. The food was excellent. The water to shower also was not hot. It was lukewarm. I complained and waited 2 hours on the first day for it to be resolved only to be finally told that’s the hottest it gets. Disappointed

It was a nice hotel presentation wise just had issues with things not working and took a while to get sorted out

The property was good, everyone who-worked there was nice, helpful and Courteous, the complementary breakfast buffet was very good, the other restaurants in the building were excellent. I didn’t like my first room so they quickly move me to an upgraded room…no extra payment. I will definitely go there again.

It was the forgetable hotel stay i can imagine. They overcharged me by one night and have syoll not refunded me. Seems to have been calculated because they were very aware that i had already paid for one night and insisted that they will take payment on check out. On checked someanager insisted on checking me out and included the night i had already paid for. Called them from airport when i realised the debit on my card but still procrastinating on refunding me 3 days later. I would urge everyone to keep clear of this hotel

Superbe large spacious room with everything one needs. Pressure of water in bathroom was amazing. Room were cleaned properly. Breakfast was a 5 stars. Lots of choices. But mattress was old and uncomfortable, could not sleep properly, has to be changed. Room 814 to avoid.

I had a pleasant stay at the Golden Tulip Hotel in Nairobi. The staff were welcoming and attentive, ensuring a smooth check-in and comfortable experience throughout my visit. The room was clean, well-maintained, and offered all the necessary amenities. I particularly enjoyed the breakfast, which had a good selection of both local and international options. The rooftop pool was a great place to relax and take in some views of the city. I would recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a reliable and convenient stay in Nairobi.

Hotel was okay but in business area
Breakfast was nice
And rooms were clean but the bathrooms needed to be deep cleaned
The only issue I had was the receptionist called Junior who was very rude
I had already paid for late check out earlier in the day but when I went to reception to confirm the timings she wanted to charge me for a whole day even after paying
Apart from that the staff at breakfast were amazing

The location is good. The kitchen staff are amazing (particularly the Chief Rachael). The security staff are excellant. There was one lady on the ground floor and she was always very grumpy (15 times, I said please and thank you) and she never once responded. Also, one Saturday evening I had a drink at the donwstairs cafe with a friend, we then had another drink at the roof top bar. On the way out she asked to use my bathroom (she didn't want to use the public toilets). I was in my room for 3-5 (Max minutes) after she left I was told there was 40$ additional payment for having somone in my room.. I thought that this was crazy.

Very nice hotel, great gym. Safe area.

Unique about the property is the attention of the staff and the chefs. They truly care about the guests and accommodate your requests. Thanks to Chef Ajay for catering to vegan requirements. Every time I have come to Kenya I have stayed here. Golden Tulip used to be an excellent property currently it's a bit run down in the bathrooms. The caulking, trash cans, etc need some attention.

The first room they gave us had an issue with the air conditioning, ie it wasn’t working properly. So a swift room change was organised.

Our stay was great. We stayed for one night arriving from a safari, completely exhausted. The check-in was quick and easy and the staff was so friendly and helpful, always concerned about our safety. The room was very spacious and clean. We ordered room service, which arrived very quickly and the food was delicious.
The breakfast buffet had a nice variety and the food was tasty as well.
All in all we felt very safe and enjoyed our stay.

Good customer service. Nice breakfast. Housekeeping very polite.

I was expecting much more from this hotel, having started before. My son and I stayed too close out a week in Kenya. The time was clean, but here are the issues:
-TV didn’t work the entire time (despite 3 calls to fix, nothing happened)
- water pools in the bathroom are a relatively short use of the shower
- coffee shop sold me a stale piece of cake (my informing them and returning 3/4 slice did not result in any change in the bill or offer for something different!)
While none of the above issues are a huge deal, it gives more the feeling of a 2-3 star hotel. Generally, the staff were friendly, but not aware of hospitality. This should not be the case for a Golden Tulip in the Westlands. I mentioned a couple of these things at checkout, but one manager dodged a response by wrapping up his shift without closing the loop with me. The next manager was unavailable when I needed to leave (he also was unreachable by the front desk staff)

The room was clean with good space. I did miss a refrigerator in the room even though there was an empty cabinet designed for one. It would have been nice to keep my drinking water cold. I liked being able to connect my phone to the TV to view my own content. WIFI was strong. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Security was very good, they seemed very concerned about my safety. There is a shopping mall with a market down the street (walkable) which was convenient. The breakfast was very good with long hours of availability so you don't feel rushed. I stayed 2 separate times during my trip.

We loved our stay at the Golden Tulip. It was clean, the staff was fantastic, everything was reasonably priced (i.e. food, drinks, mini bar, etc.). The location is close to museums, shopping and restaurants.

Room was wonderful. Staff very attentive. Pool a bit of a disappointment as not as it appeared in pictures. Also was icy cold and therefore not very swimmable. One of the reasons we booked was because of this pool. Also, website on Expedia is misleading, as this hotel is actually twice as far from Sarit Centre as indicated. The map is not correct.

Superb hotel in Westland/parklands area of Nairobi. Unbeatable generous breakfast with a variety to die for. Room are spacious and bed was very comfortable. Shower experience was better than going to a spa. Amazing water pressure in shower. Nicely decorated. I recommend it wholeheartedly.

Basic 3-4 star hotel with large rooms and comfortable bed.
Food's not great though and the prices on the room service menu do but match what your get charged. Decent shower and easy to get to places in central Nairobi from here.

There was construction during my first night. Had trouble sleeping. The second night was fine. I put in some white noise on my phone though so not sure.
